Number 30
Shane brings a bowl of salad to the table and checks that everyone's got something to drink. He says he needs to check on the food.
PIERCE: Smells good, whatever it is.
SHANE: Ah thanks, it's a pasta sauce. Hope it tastes alright. After the bad taste I left in everyone's mouths at Dipi's cooking class.
Everyone tells him not to worry about it but he's keen to apologise. Chloe points out that she wasn't on best form at the cooking class either and looks remorsefully in Pierce's direction. Chloe offers to help Shane with the food but he's fine on his own. He tells them that he's made the pasta from scratch and goes to put some music on.
The Hive
Ned is attempting to paint but he keeps having flashbacks of Scarlett taunting him. He becomes overwhelmed causing him to snap his paintbrush and throw it to the ground. It narrowly misses Levi who has just walked in. Levi tells him that he's up to date with Scarlett's case and they're doing everything they can to help. Ned receives a text from Yashvi telling him she's busy.
Lassiters Lake
Yashvi talks to Bea about the situation with Ned. She can't believe that she was saying only a month ago how proud she was of Ned for proving her dad wrong and pursuing his dreams, only for that to turn out like this. Bea says that he is following is dreams though, but Yashvi points out that he was only able to do it by taking those intimate photos and videos. Bea tries to stick up for him again, saying he didn't know the fan he was sending videos to was Scarlett.
YASHVI: But when he found out, he didn't end it. He allowed himself to get sucked right back in, it's twisted and sick.
BEA: So what then? Is this it?
BEA: What Ned's done is massive. I don't know if I can ever trust him again.
Number 30
Shane is washing up in the kitchen and Chloe brings some more plates over. He admits to her that things didn't really go as planned and that it feels a bit awkward. Chloe assures him that the food was fine but admits that she and Pierce had quite a heavy conversation before they came round which might explain the atmosphere. Shane asks if they're ok and she says that she hopes so but it's clearly still on Pierce's mind. In the living room, Pierce apologises for coming round. He says that he should have been quicker to come up with an excuse not to come to dinner, but Dipi says it's fine and that they should just make an effort to make it feel less awkward as it will be over soon.
Police Station
Scarlett barges into the police station, asking why no-one's taking her complaint against Ned seriously. Levi tries to appease her, but she goes on to mention that there was a prowler outside her house last night and Basil has had to hire extra security seeing as the police aren't doing anything. Levi offers to speak to her security to find out if they've seen anything but she says there's no point and that someone should be speaking to Ned as he's harassing her. Levi continues to say that they're taking her complaint seriously, but she doesn't look at all convinced.
Lassiters Lake
Ned turns up at the rotunda and Yashvi asks how he knew she was there. He replies that he didn't but was just on his way home when he saw her. He admits that not knowing where he stands is killing him but Yashvi replies that not everything's about him all the time. He asks how things are at home, admitting that he hasn't been to Harold's as he couldn't face Dipi at the moment. Yashvi says she hasn't told her family what's happened because she wants to make up her mind about their relationship on her own. Ned says that he's going to cancel his exhibition but Yashvi isn't happy that he's prepared to throw it all away.
YASHVI: Do it and do it well. You seriously think you can put me through all this just for nothing?
NED: Ok. Does this mean you'll be there? It's all meaningless if you're not.
YASHVI: Ned...I can't answer that right now.
He turns and walks away. Yashvi looks conflicted.
Number 30
Shane places dessert on the table and everyone is excited to try it. Dipi, Pierce and Chloe all take a bite of their dessert which is obviously horrible, but they try to pretend it tastes great. When Shane tries it and says it's disgusting, they all let their true feelings be known and begin to laugh about it. Shane says he's really happy they've all forgiven him for how he behaved at the cooking class and he's pleased Dipi has stuck by him.
CHLOE: Couldn't agree more. To partners in life, for life!
They toast. Pierce and Dipi look at each other uncomfortably.
Ramsay Street
Bea collects the morning paper surprised to see Levi up and about so early as he was on a late shift yesterday. He assures her he got plenty of sleep as the house has been quiet because Kyle has taken Sheila to Frankston for a few days. Bea asks if it's to take her mind off her break up with Clive and he says that it is. She knows he can't give any specific details but asks him how the police are getting on with Ned's complaint against Scarlett.
BEA: I just want to know that you're working on it.
LEVI: We're working on it.
BEA: That's it?
He tells her that the best thing she can do is help Ned and Yashvi sort their relationship out. He tells her to leave the Scarlett situation to him.
Number 30
Dipi emerges from the bedroom to find that Shane's made breakfast for her. He tells her how pleased he is with how last night went. Dipi looks uncomfortable talking about it but Shane continues, saying that Pierce is actually quite interesting once he has a few wines. He suggests that they do it again but Dipi says there might be other couples they'd get along with just as well, if not better.
SHANE: Are you ok?
DIPI: Yeah, I'm fine.
Shane admits that last night was about clearing the air with Pierce as he knows how well Dipi gets on with him. He feels bad about getting in the way of her friendship with Gary and doesn't want to repeat the same mistake. She tries to play down her friendship with Pierce before thanking Shane for caring.
The Hive
Bea walks past the Hive to find an incredibly dishevelled Ned.
BEA: Did you go home last night?
NED: No, I was on my way, and I ran in to Vi down at the lake.
BEA: How did it go?
NED: She told me not to quit. She told me to put everything into the exhibition, which is what I'm doing.
BEA: Like having an all-nighter?
NED: Whatever it takes.
Bea tells him she thinks it's great that he's putting so much effort into it. He thanks her before asking her what she thinks of his latest painting, which is of Yashvi. She's blown away by his work.
BEA: It's so beautiful, Ned.
NED: I just hope she turns up to the exhibition to see it.
Harold's Café
Bea bumps into Yashvi at Harold's. She tells her she's just seen Ned at the Hive and that he's worked all night. She tries to encourage Yashvi to go the exhibition, suggesting that Scarlett's won if she doesn't go. Yashvi looks like she doesn't appreciate Bea sticking her oar in, but Bea tells her to just think about it. As Yashvi leaves, Levi jibes her for not getting him a coffee.
YASHVI: Well I never know what you can and can't have, Captain Keto.
He laughs.
YASHVI: How was work last night?
LEVI: Same shift, different day...I did get a visit from Scarlett though.
They take a seat and Levi tells her all the details; that Scarlett claims Ned has been loitering outside her house. Yashvi knows that she's lying and it's clear she's tired of Scarlett, knowing that she'll never leave her and Ned alone. Levi doesn't think there's anything they can do to help as there's currently nothing to charge Scarlett with.
YASHVI: Maybe not but that doesn't mean there's nothing we can do.
Number 24
HENDRIX: You know, if you two wanna go out at night, the least you can do is tell me when you're gonna be home.
CHLOE: Ok, dad! We'll remember that next time (laughs)
Hendrix asks where they went and Chloe replies that they had dinner with Shane and Dipi. Chloe laughs that Pierce kept a straight face about Shane's dessert for as long as he did.
PIERCE: Shane had a go, that's the important thing.
HENDRIX: And how are you guys? Are you ok?
CHLOE: We're great! We had fun last night, so all good.
PIERCE: All good.
Pierce and Chloe look at each other uncomfortably.
Erinsborough Hospital
Yashvi and Levi watch Scarlett as she enters the hospital. They wonder what she's doing.
LEVI: Maybe she's visiting someone.
YASHVI: Scarlett doesn't visit people in hospital, she puts them in hospital.
LEVI: Knowing what Scarlett did puts a whole new perspective on what Ned's going through.
YASHVI: What?
LEVI: I'm just saying I feel sorry for him a bit. She played him like a second-hand guitar.
YASHVI: Lets not forget that Ned made some pretty average choices.
LEVI: I'm not saying he didn't.
YASHVI: Choices that dragged Scarlett back here, doing what she's doing.
LEVI: I know. I just think we should go easy on him a bit.
YASHVI: We, or me? Did Bea put you up to this?
LEVI: To what?
YASHVI: Softening me up so I'd forgive Ned.
LEVI: I'm just calling it as I see it, same as I always do.
YASHVI: Whatever, can we just change topic.
LEVI: Suits me. But if you're getting that worked up about Ned, that comes from some pretty strong feels.
YASHVI: Shut up.
LEVI: Yes boss.
Harold's Café
Pierce arrives to talk to Dipi.
PIERCE: Bumpy ride last night.
DIPI: Yeah, it was. Strange though. There were actually times where I was having fun.
PIERCE: Me too, when it wasn't awkward.
Pierce tells her that what happened between them was a mistake and she agrees. But he admits that he misses their friendship. They agree that their approach of trying to avoid each other isn't working anyway and that they can get past the awkwardness like they did last night. They're on the same page and Pierce says he wants to work on his relationship with Chloe.
DIPI: And Shane and I are back on track. I love my family more than anything...I'm actually about to take a break, if you fancy a coffee.
PIERCE: Yeah, I'd love to.
Erinsborough Hospital
Scarlett exits the hospital in tears.
YASHVI: She's putting it on.
LEVI: For who?
YASHVI: Look at her. She wants people to see her like that so she has witnesses when she blames Ned for whatever she's up to.
LEVI: So this is about Ned?
YASHVI: Of course it is, she's got no other reason to be here.
Yashvi gets out of the car to confront Scarlett, as Levi yells after her.
She asks Scarlett what she's doing there, but Scarlett ignores her question, saying she's glad she's run into her. She tells Yashvi that Ned's not the guy she thinks he is. She says that therapy has shown her that she deserves a man better than Ned, and so does Yashvi.
YASHVI: Nobody wants you here so I suggest you leave.
LEVI: Alright! I think we should leave it there.
YASHVI: You think you've got everyone right where you want them but all I see is a sad, pathetic excuse for a...
LEVI: Constable! That's enough. Back to the car now.
Levi berates Yashvi for her personal attacks on Scarlett.
Harold's Café
Dipi tells Pierce that it must be nice to have Chloe back home. He replies that it is but admits that things are still complicated. He understands that she's always lived for the moment and struggles to look ahead but he feels like she wasn't committed to the couples counselling they went to. Dipi says that if last night is anything to go by Chloe is clearly committed to him. He doesn't look convinced and changes the subject, asking about Shane.
DIPI: He's working so hard to make things right.
PIERCE: There's more to it for you though, isn't there?
Dipi says she's finding it hard to put everything in the past but she can't admit that to Shane because she doesn't want to set him back with his recovery. Pierce says she'll get there.
PIERCE: Shane was right last night, he's a lucky man.
Dipi looks flattered. Shane enters, asking Dipi if she wants to go for a walk on her break, but he doesn't want to interrupt. Pierce says it's fine and Dipi goes to spend some quality time with her husband. Pierce looks deep in thought as they leave, almost jealous.
The Exhibition Warehouse
Yashvi arrives to tell Ned that she's going to come to his exhibition, saying that in order to work through what he did she's trying to be positive. He's thrilled by the news, but a dampener is soon put on things when Vi tells him about her run in with Scarlett. He's riled up by Scarlett's blatant manipulation and says he's having nightmares and that Scarlett will never leave them alone.
NED: I'm gonna sort this out.
YASHVI: Ned, no. It will just make things worse, this is exactly what she wants.
NED: Well then what should I do?
YASHVI: Just focus on your exhibition, ok?
He reluctantly agrees. As Yashvi leaves, he begins to have flashbacks of Scarlett stabbing him. He storms out of the warehouse.
