Lassiter's Office
Chloe assures Pierce it was only that one moment. She freaked out when Pierce was making so many plans for them. Pierce finds out that Nicolette and Chloe were talking about it on the day she lost the baby. He wishes she had talked to him. She felt so bad after the miscarriage, she felt responsible. Nicolette reassured Chloe, Pierce isn't impressed she keeps turning to Nicolette.

PIERCE: I bet she would have loved hearing all your secrets.

Chloe points out that Nicolette was a great support, Pierce is still sceptical. Hendrix arrives and notices the tension.

Jane has popped round and Nicolette tells her that she has accepted a permanent position at the hospital. Jane is delighted to hear this news. Aaron and David don't know yet and this is a short term arrangement. Nicolette is doubtful of things changing as she doesn't think things will improve with Chloe, Jane is more optimistic.

NICOLETTE: Your dream of us all living happily ever after on the same street isn't going to happen.

Fay talked to Nicolette and she is going to put a lot of distance between herself and Chloe and Pierce. Jane is hopeful but Nicolette wants to hold her promise to Fay. She likes being close to Jane and enjoys living with Aaron and David. Nicolette promises to stay close by.

Harold's Café
Shane and Dipi are going through the bills and having to admit they've got more money going out than coming in. Shane offers to talk to Toadie about rent but Dipi doesn't think that is the issue. She thinks they couldn't cope with just one wage coming in, she realises that Shane has taken this to heart. Shane is unsure how to contribute. She points out he is still recovering but Shane is optimistic. Sheila and Pierce aren't convinced that it's time. Dipi points out that it's taking him more time than usual to make the jewellery box, he would usually be able to make it very quickly, he isn't able to focus so well on it as usual. She suggests he goes and works on it at home and she'll concentrate on the bills.

Chloe tells Nicolette that she has been honest with Pierce about feelings and the doubts. Chloe understands that Pierce is feeling hurt but thinks it's wrong of him to lay the blame at Nicolette's door. Nicolette tells Chloe she is capable of shouldering the blame.

CHLOE: I'm sorry. You've been nothing but a great friend to me.

Nicolette is surprised that David and Aaron wear matching PJs and they laugh about it and about their nicknames for each other. They agree David and Aaron make a lovely couple.

Susan is watching something on the telly.

SUSAN: Who would have thought the romantic lives of complete strangers would be so gripping?

Karl teases her about Love Capsule, Susan points out she was Principal then, not when she is on holidays. Jane and Karl hatch a plan to distract Susan so Karl suggests a campervan as Jane heads off. This just stumps Susan.

SUSAN: You really are a weirdo Karl.

Hendrix arrives and would really like some hash browns. Karl agrees to his request. Susan discovers a Love Capsule fan in Hendrix. He claims to watch it with Harlow but decides to join Susan. Susan goes to look for a hash brown sauce that Hendrix likes in the cupboard as Karl tries to stop her. The stuff starts to spill out of the cupboard, Karl blames it on Jane. Susan calls out to Jane in an annoyed voice.

Harold's Café
Dipi sympathises with Pierce. He ponders over the fact that Nicolette was the one she went to about her doubts, not him. Dipi suggests that Chloe might return Nicolette's feelings but Pierce disregards this. He isn't sure about the lies that have been told. Dipi points out that she and Shane wouldn't have lasted if she had gone to him with every doubt. Pierce thinks this is a bigger situation.

PIERCE: I've never questioned my commitment to marriage. She has more than once.
DIPI: You've always overcome it.

Pierce is really keen to sort things out. Pierce doesn't know if it's possible however much want there is.

Shane is going through his drawings as he tightens the g-clamp on the box. He tightens the g-clamp so hard though that the shelf in the box breaks. He throws the drawings on the floor in frustration and slams the desk.

Susan reminds Karl and Jane that she'd recommended they get rid of all of it. It was too much for them to get rid of some of these items. They plan on finding something more permanent. Susan isn't impressed at all these useless products as Hendrix smirks! Jane wants to keep all the sugar cubes for guests.

SUSAN: We'd need more guests than Lassiter's! You two are like children egging each other on.

Karl thinks this will help the future but Susan isn't so sure! She insists they get rid of it all. Karl wants more time but Susan will personally donate the items. Jane is very sorry and promises to take care of it. Karl and Jane head off with the stuff.

Susan is still annoyed as she joins Hendrix on the sofa. She's annoyed that the show has finished before she got a chance to watch it. Hendrix offers to go back but Susan brushes it off. Hendrix offers to help pull the veggies out in the garden, Susan takes him up on his offer.

Harold's Café
Dipi brings Pierce a milkshake, Pierce hasn't had one for a long time. Dipi tells him it's more to help in troubled times, she has had quite a few! She admits Shane and her are trying their best but not quite managing it. She mentioned today to Shane that money is tight which didn't go very well. She wishes she had left it. Pierce offers to help out but she brushes it off. Dipi has come up with the idea of teaching cooking classes to help make money. Pierce is supportive of this idea, she's great at cooking and teaching. He suggests a trial run and she agrees to do it tonight.

DIPI: Money or no money, doing something by myself for myself is exactly what I need right now.

Chloe arrives and awkwardly asks Pierce if they can talk.

Karl and Jane have brought a few boxes round they want to store of 'household essentials' in the Doug Out. Nicolette wryly comments there are quite a few boxes, apparently there's more to come as well. Nicolette seems bemused as Karl points out there is home brew stored out there as well! Nicolette isn't keen and points out she hasn't got the right to give permission until she becomes a permanent resident. They concede her point.

Harold's Café
Chloe apologises for the hurt she has caused but knows it's not quite enough. She mentions the matching PJs, she thinks it shows how much they get the other. It mostly happens that way, she wants the same to happen for them. Chloe suggests marriage counselling. She thinks it would be helpful for sorting out any issues they may have. Pierce suggests doing the cooking class tonight, Chloe is keener on something private! Pierce hesitates and Chloe agrees to take part. Pierce goes to pay as Chloe still looks apprehensive.

Pierce follows Shane in and is looking for Dipi. Shane thinks she's at work but Pierce has come from there. Pierce wants to pass on the message about Chloe attending the class, this is news to Shane. Pierce explains it's to bring in extra money. Shane is interested in joining in, Pierce advises him to check first with Dipi.

PIERCE: I don't think you being there is going to help.
SHANE: I wasn't really asking for your permission. To be honest, it's none of your business.

Pierce doesn't think he should try to sort things out at work and just don't go tonight.

Susan decides to make carrot soup with the carrots from the garden and offers half to Hendrix. He's happy with hash browns. Susan wants to know how things are going, Hendrix shrugs it off. As things settle another things happens to rock the boat. Hendrix is ok with things. Going to see Harlow is his way of escaping but she's away at the moment. Susan is happy for him to come over when he wants to escape. Susan suggests having fun if he's happy to stick around longer.

Harold's Café
Susan and Hendrix have come to a cooking class. Hendrix talks about getting the knives sharpened to show how good he is at chopping!

SUSAN: It's not really necessary for dough. Or should I say it's not kneaded! (They laugh.)

Chloe and Pierce arrive. Chloe and Hendrix banter about Pierce improving his cooking skills. Pierce thinks he isn't bad but Susan thinks it's similar to his dance skills! Pierce thinks Dipi will do a great job. Pierce mentions Shane but Dipi doesn't want to talk about him tonight.

Dipi thanks them for being here when it was arranged at short notice. She wants them to have fun so puts some music on. She tells them about the pasta they're making as Shane arrives. He chips in about being economic and makes a dig at Pierce as she sends him dagger looks! She starts to go through the recipe but Pierce is more interested in watching Shane and Dipi. Shane insists he wants to help so Dipi asks to keep areas tidy. Dipi carries on giving instructions.

Later, Pierce is reading through the recipe as Chloe kneads the dough. She isn't too impressed when he goes ahead though he just wants to let her know what is coming next. It isn't helping Chloe. He reassures her they can get through this. Chloe isn't keen to discuss this. Pierce thinks five years on they'll be looking back at themselves. She slams down the dough and wants more flour.

Shane compliments Hendrix's work though it turns out he hasn't done this himself. Shane starts talking in riddles as Dipi tries to stop him. She heads into the kitchen.

Karl and Jane have managed to store everything after David oked the idea. Nicolette isn't so convinced though about the whole plan especially after they find more stuff to store. Nicolette mentions a fee, Karl isn't impressed!

Harold's Café
Chloe and Pierce are bickering about the dough. Pierce realises there are other issues apart from the pasta. Chloe realises they have a big hurdle to overcome after the last one as Hendrix watches on. Chloe points out that they can't sort stuff out right now while Pierce keeps thinking about the future. Chloe goes to get a cloth. Shane starts talking about the arguments he and Dipi have as Dipi tries to stop him.

PIERCE: Just listen to your wife you idiot.

Pierce thinks that Shane is selfish having turned up when he advised him not to. Pierce points out that Shane is making things worse instead of sorting them out.

SHANE: People in glass houses Pierce.

Shane suggests that Pierce sorts out his own marriage before giving him advice.

PIERCE: You don't deserve a woman like Dipi.
