MACKENZIE: Like you helped Shane? That kind of help?
Mackenzie is upset about the part Richie played in this, Richie apologises and Mackenzie isn't interested.
Dipi has brought Shane a drink to prevent him from being dehydrated. Yashvi arrives home and Shane starts to apologise to her. She calmly tells him that he is needed at the station.
YASHVI: We'd like you to go on record about how and when you bought the drugs so we can figure out the distribution chain.
He jokes about a lawyer but it is advisable. Dipi advises phoning Toadie but Shane doesn't think it's best to involve him. Shane wants to delay things so he can spend time with Dipi. She refuses to wait as it has been officially requested by the police, there is a police car outside.
Levi asks for the name of the person who sold these drugs to Shane. Shane isn't keen for Yashvi to be present but she wants him to co-operate.
SHANE: River Hamlin. He's not a bad boy. He deals to mates. Small time.
Yashvi is more cynical. Shane doesn't know any other clients or anyone else involved as they didn't socialise away from uni. Shane hadn't bought from Ollie. Shane hasn't seen Ollie and River communicate with each other. Shane has no idea how they could be connected. Levi asks for River's details.
Karl arrives and hopes that Dipi doesn't mind they know what's going on. Dipi is fed up anyway of everything being secretive anyway. He offers advice on recovery which she accepts.
DIPI: This whole thing has flattened me.
Her biggest worry had been her kids being pressured into drugs, she didn't think it would be Shane. Karl suggests rehab, Dipi thinks they haven't reached that point. Shane is trying to help himself stop but Dipi admits he's not having an easy time of it. Karl tells her that Shane needs to request help and shouldn't be ashamed to do so. The programme varies but 28 days is a good first step. Dipi is surprised that there would be more than that.
KARL: For some people recovering from addiction can take a lifetime. At least now it's out in the open. He can start the journey.
Roxy has stayed at Kyle's which Harlow had already guessed and is stressed about everything. Harlow has heard from Mackenzie who isn't doing great. Harlow reassures Roxy that she shouldn't feel bad about keeping quiet, Shane had no right to ask her. Mackenzie understands that and is furious with Richie. Roxy hadn't known about Richie giving him th e meds to start with.
ROXY: I feel really bad for Mackenzie. That's two men in her life who've seriously disappointed her.

Dax catches up with Levi and Yashvi and demands to know who River is and why they've issued a KALOF (keep a look out for) on him.
YASHVI: We have reason to believe he's selling methenamine.
This matches the stuff that Ollie was selling. They tell him that Shane has bought from River and update him on the interview. He wishes they had checked with him first, they didn't want to hang around. Someone has been spooked. Dax tells them in future everything has to be checked with him first. He tells them to cut ties with Shane. As Yashvi has a personal connection she shouldn't be involved with this case. Levi and Yashvi don't look happy.
Levi and Yashvi arrive back to see Shane. Levi tells Shane he's able to leave now.
LEVI: Count yourself lucky you weren't caught in possession of that stuff. Would have been a different story.
Shane tries to talk to Yashvi. She tells him to let Levi know if he remembers anything else. He realises why she's angry as she shuts the door. She is humiliated instead of angry after what he's done to their family.
YASHVI: I never thought you'd let me down like this.
SHANE: Me neither. I'm so sorry.
He is determined to get better and ensure this doesn't recur.
Richie ponders whether it's over between him and Mackenzie, Hendrix doesn't have the answer. He wishes he did! Karl has arrived and isn't at all impressed about Richie giving his meds to Shane. They are only meant to be prescribed to those who need them, Richie points out that others do the same thing. That doesn't make a difference to Karl, they shouldn't be taken other than their original purpose. Karl concedes Shane chose to take the drugs but is not impressed by Richie's attitude.
KARL: This could affect him for the rest of his life. Do you understand that?
Richie didn't realise the impact at the time but it is hitting home now. He realises he shouldn't have done what he did.
Shane looks around his home and at a photo of him and Dipi. Mackenzie arrives home and asks where he went. He tells her he's been to the station and got a lift home from Levi. She is struggling with the right words to say, he doesn't think she needs to utter any words. It's his mess and needs to apologise. He let them all down. He thought he was on top of things but it got out of control and he didn't have the choice whether or not to do drugs. He didn't admit that to himself at the time. He wishes he'd been honest rather than her doing it. She knows he means his apology but he needs to get better, then the apology will mean something. She heads off.
Toadie and Dipi arrive home, Yashvi has updated them. Toadie is home as Dipi tells Shane he has one choice.
DIPI: You have to go to rehab.
Shane isn't keen on this idea but Dipi has got him a place for this afternoon. Shane will have to defer uni. The sooner Shane gets to rehab the sooner he will get to return to them all. This is the only way Shane can make things right.
Harlow has decided to go for the Youth Advisor position. She tells Hendrix she sees it as a way to put their environmental concerns across and thinks she can do the job well. Richie arrives and is surprised to hear that Mackenzie has dropped out. Harlow points out that everything has exploded in Mackenzie's life and doesn't think it's the right time to run. Richie doesn't think it's right for Mackenzie to drop out after what Shane did. Harlow suggests that Mackenzie can help her if she is elected. Hendrix offers to be Harlow's campaign manager. They agree to plan all this over a milkshake. Richie stays behind and glances at Harlow's notes.
Yashvi is trying to terms with all this plus Shane's dishonesty. Shane has lectured Yashvi about dishonesty many times before as well! She's grateful that Ned is trustworthy.
Yashvi asks Dax for updates but he brushes her off. Dax claims that there isn't enough to go on so he's called off the whole thing. Yashvi suggests that Levi questions Ollie instead. Dax doubts that Ollie will dob River in. Levi promises to look into the break and enter instead.
Yashvi isn't impressed that Levi didn't back her up. Levi reminds her that Dax is the one calling the shots.
YASHVI: He's stonewalling us.
Levi tells her that she needs to back off and follow orders.
Shane has got his bag ready. He tells Dipi he'll keep in touch as much as is possible. Toadie reminds him it isn't the same as prison so he gets phone calls. He promises Dipi he'll try his best and last the distance. He will be better when he returns. He wants to sort things out with Dipi on his return. He knows she's not ready to forgive him. He asks for some hope but she's not ready for that.
DIPI: Just get clean first and we'll take it from there.
Yashvi is on desk duties as Dax arrives. She tries talking to him about the case but he's not interested. She thinks that River is a great lead and could contact the other students. He tells her she needs to stick to desk duties as she talks on. He gets angry with her.
DAX: Rebecchi! What part of drop it do you not understand? I'll make this real clear for you. If you go digging things might start to get real messy for your Dad.
YASHVI: How? There's nothing to charge him is there?
