And as the tiles begin, there is another update - Hendrix has been added to the shot of Chloe and Pierce.

Harold's Café
Harlow isn't amused at Hendrix queue jumping to get his coffee order in and rejects his suggestion of shouting her coffee by way of an apology.

Number 22
Gail comes off the phone from talking to Elle, still none the wiser what is going on in her daughter's head following on from her ex-wives plan to put Paul off of marrying.

NED: Trying to get all of Paul's ex-wives to haunt him... who knows!

Gail admits she only went along with the plan to protect Terese, and given she was coming to see Harlow anyway, combined the two. She is still curious about what her daughter is up to although but adds that when she presses Elle, she gets angry.

Harlow arrives back with coffees for everyone and isn't half mixing her words to them in describing her encounter with Hendrix!

Number 24
Mark is all ready for work, but Roxy's arrival has him filling in the time before his shift starts... in an entirely different way to what he'd envisaged!

Number 32
"I couldn't find an apology card for hiding teenage children," Pierce greets Chloe with when she opens the door to find him apologetic with the compulsory bunch of flowers in his hands! "Too soon for jokes," Chloe comments with a smile while accepting the flowers and letting him into the house.

As they walk into the kitchen, she asks how long junior is going to be around and Pierce replies a couple of days after chatting things over with his mum. "And then what?" she asks and is told that the lad will be herded off to boarding school, despite what he thinks! Pierce admits he could have handled things better, both with her and Hendrix and goes along with Chloe's suggestion of inviting Hendrix around so that the pair can begin to bond.

The Waterhole (veranda)
Gail isn't with it at all during her date with Gary. He tries to work out why when he passes his mum to head inside for some refills.

Sheila heads over to have a go instead and Gail explains that she's had a fight on the phone with her daughter. She fills Sheila in on Elle's plan to stop the wedding and is trying to figure out why Elle came up with his plan, admitting she was concentrating more on meeting Harlow than on what Elle was up to. Sheila empathises with Gail's predicament, as they're "both mothers who want the best for their kids no matter how grown up they are" and asks what her plan is?

Number 24
Oopsies, Roxy had Mark handcuffed around a table leg for their shenanigans and now can't find where the keys are!

Number 22
Roxy heads home to persuade Harlow to help free Mark but not surprisingly the lass doesn't want to head to #24 and suggests instead using a pair of bolt cutters! Without exactly explaining why, Roxy asks Ned if she can borrow a set from him (since Harlow refused to go buy a pair!) and without questioning why, simply agrees to let her them.

Number 24
"I've got everything under control," Roxy is trying to reassure Mark with as he grows frustrated at how long it is taking to free him! "What is Harlow doing here?!" he demands to know as the lass comes in with a HUGE pair of bolt cutters! Roxy assures him that Harlow will keep quiet, especially given she's known about them for a while now!

The lassies are having major difficulties cutting the chain between the cuffs but looks like help is on hand when Ned walks into the house... well that will be once he recovers from the hilarity of the situation he walks into see!

Number 32
As she gets lunch ready in the backyard, Hendrix surprised her by turning up too early. He then turns down her asking him to prep the salad in favour of going for a swim in the pool...that is despite the fact it is raining! The lad literally strips off down to his undies in front of her, ignoring her suggestion of going inside to change, before walking to the edge of the pool and diving in.

Number 22
Its glorious sunshine at the opposite side of the street as Ned and Harlow head outside, still amused by what they witnessed at #24! They are surprised to see Gail home from her date, and she explains that she was terrible company as she has something requiring a higher priority than her love life. Harlow is curious about what it could be and after Ned makes himself scarce, Gail tells Harlow that there is something she needs to tell her about Aunt Elle.

Number 32
Swim over, topless Hendrix is now helping with lunch in the kitchen when Pierce arrives with salmon for lunch (lad's favourite) before leaving them both to head outside and get the barbie ready. Chloe is impressed at how well Hendrix is preparing lunch (good knife skills) and the pair begin to bond having travelled to the same place. "I've been everywhere," Chloe explains and Hendrix comments that she'd be "fun to travel with" because she knows "how to party." That comment seems to unnerve Chloe somewhat, and she quickly hands the lad a tray to take out to his dad.

Number 22
"How could you go along with that?" Harlow asks her Gran after being filled in on the plan and Gail's reply is that Paul "is no saint" and Terese deserved "the benefit of my experience." She reassures the lass that she was here to meet her, and Gail wishes she'd been upfront with Elle's plan. Harlow is still having difficulty understanding why Elle would go to so much trouble and the only explanation Gail can come up with is deep down, Elle must have issues with Paul... and maybe her too thanks to their squabbles. Harlow suggests Gail pays a trip to New York to see her daughter, leaving tonight, after reassuring her Gran that she will be fine, there's enough people in the street to keep an eye on her.

Gary arrives just at the tail end of their conversation and is curious about the mention of flights. Without answering his question, Gail tells him that she has the feeling Harlow has just dismissed her!

Harold's Café
Mark isn't sure how to reply to text message from 'The Vixen' aka Roxy asking how mad he is and indeed, ignores it to chat instead to his sister about the Greyson lunch.

"How did it go?" he begins with and she is unsure of a reply - while it was nice helping Pierce hang out with his son, she concedes that Hendrix is "challenging."

MARK: Doesn't he like his new step mum eh?!

Chloe seems freaked out over how confident Hendrix is before adding that she is unsure of "what to make of him yet." She still has 1001 questions she'd like answered too, which is sure will happen once Hendrix goes.

Lassiters Park
Harlow confirms to Ned that she's booked Gail's flight to New York (which leaves in 4 hours) so she couldn't change her mind about going. "Is this more for Elle or for you?" Ned asks and the lass explains that she was initially thrilled that Gail came to see her but after finding out the recent news, it has somewhat soured those happy thoughts. Ned is sure that Gail cares for her and tells her about his own experience - his mum's animosity for his dad. "She did some strange things," he regales but that for her, it came from a place of pain.

HARLOW: Should I forgive Gail?
NED: You don't need to forgive her, but do you really want things to end like this?

The Waterhole
Pierce delivers the good and bad news to his son after coming off the phone to his mum - his reputation has gone before him and she can't find a boarding school for him... so Pierce has agreed to have the lad stay with him and they will find a day-school here for him. Hendrix looks somewhat stunned at him getting to stay with his dad, but Pierce explains it was his idea and adds that he also wants to spend more time with his son.

HENDRIX: Sure you do, every mogul needs an heir!

"That is news!" Chloe declares after hearing about what is going on when she walked into the bar and heard them chatting. She quickly adds though that it is "great" and "awesome" too for the pair of them.

When Pierce goes to the bar to get a drink for Chloe (and to warn the bar staff so he can't scam drinks!), Hendrix comments to Chloe that he is sure he can "find other ways to get in trouble!"

Number 22
Sheila has heard the news of Gail's impending departure and thinks it's good she is heading to see Elle. "It's overdue," Gail concedes and confirms she's talked to Paul about it and he's also in agreement with Sheila's offer.

We hear that the cab for Gail has arrived, so Sheila heads out to tell the driver to wait. The privacy allows Gail to apologise to Gary for how things have turned up, admitting that she isn't in the right headspace to begin a relationship, "not even a casual one." Gary is cool with the news, and both admit that it was "fun while it lasted."

After a hug and a quick kiss, he heads off (to take the luggage to the cab), allowing Gail to say goodbye to her newly arrived granddaughter. Harlow agrees that she is disappointed in her Gran, but Gail tries to reassure her that despite the relationship she has with Paul, she hopes it doesn't affect "her, Elle or anyone." Harlow hopes things works out with Elle for her Gran, which Gail immediately replies back that "it will."

GAIL: Getting to know you has been such a blessing. I just hope you'll come and stay with me some time in Tassie.

Harlow gives a non-committal "we'll see" reply as Ned comes in to remind Gail her taxi is waiting, so she walks off and its him who gives Harlow a hug.

(Later)

Roxy isn't getting much sympathy from Harlow over why Mark hasn't replied back to her text yet. The pair are so engrossed squabbling with each other, that they fail to hear Sheila arrive in the house until she yells out "enough" to stop the noise!

SHEILA: I promised Gail that I would keep you two on the straight and narrow, so instead of sitting there bickering like a couple of feral cats, maybe you could set the table for dinner!
ROXY: We don't need looking after.
SHEILA: Oh, I'm sorry love, that plastic outfit you've got on says you do!
NED: Food smells good!

"Of course it does," she points out to him before turning attention to the girls again, to tell them to "chop, chop" and get the table set.

SHEILA: With a smile on your face girls!

Lassiters Complex
Roxy finally catches up with Mark as he exits Harold's after a coffee run. However, he doesn't want them to chat in such a public place, but she just wants an answer to a simple question - if what happened today has put him off their "whole thing?" Before he gets a chance to reply, Ned interrupts to comment on his hands being free! "You cannot breathe a word if this to anyone," Mark almost begs Ned with, and Ned promises to "keep your secret."

NED: I know the value of restraint!

"Ned!" Roxy cries as he helps himself to one of Mark's coffee's before walking away from the pair.

Someone though watched him as he drank the coffee - Scarlett, the woman from the airport!
