Toadie speaks as we see the signs around the Street with decorations on them and the characters enjoying Christmas, music is playing as well.
TOADIE: Christmas in Australia. Well it's pretty much the same as it is all over the world with a few differences I suppose. Presents are exchanged. Some people spend heap of money, others not as much. It's a time for family to celebrate those that are with us and remember those that we've lost (Terese and Piper look at a picture of Josh and hug.) Christmas is a day that we look back on and the year that was. The good times and the bad. What we've achieved and what we haven't and what we want for the future. If we're lonely then it can be the hardest day of all. So that is we decided to have this concert to let everyone know that they're not alone. There is always a friend or a neighbour to turn to.
Toadie finishes reading his speech and Sonya and Nell applaud.
Lassiter's Complex
Bea watches the concert being set up from a distance then wanders off.
No.22 Backyard
Leo is looking at his phone and puts it away when Terese comes over to him. He asks if it's ok if he goes to Lassiter's. Terese wants to join him as Jane is sorting things out. Leo tells her she should stay at home with Piper. They kiss and Leo heads off. Piper waits till they're finished and gives Terese her present.

JANE: What do you get the man that has everything?
Paul finds a glass bauble in the bag. Jane explains it's been hand decorated. A few years ago Nell Mangel and Jane started the tradition. Paul admires it and Jane tells him she wants to hang it on the tree each year to remind them of where the tradition started. Jane suddenly realises she might be thinking too far ahead! Paul reassures her he wants the same thing. Jane is really happy about the connection with her Nan and Paul realises it has been on her mind especially today. Jane comments this will be the first Christmas that she won't have her Nan. Paul tells Jane that her Nan would be proud of how Jane has moved on. Jane hopes Paul is right and is sure that Jim would think the same thing. Paul tells her he's got a present for her as Leo arrives. Jane invites Leo to join them to have some eggnog. Jane heads off as Leo asks Paul what is happening.

Liz asks for a hug which Bea gives. Bea tells them that honey is meant to help stress levels as well. Liz suggests Honey Bea as a stage name. Bea changes the subject by suggesting a phonecall to Karl and Holly. Susan agrees when she returns. Liz wants to know where Susan is going, she's got a prior commitment to keep. Susan reassures Bea that she will be great tonight and heads off. Bea wants to know if Liz thinks Susan is ok, Liz thinks she is. Liz wants to know what Bea is going to sing. Bea plans to open with the carol 'O Holy Night'. Liz doesn't think it's a great idea for some reason. Ned arrives as Bea heads out, Ned follows Bea.
Penthouse Suite
Paul is telling Leo about the recording that Delaney played to him. Leo says this is the first he's heard about it. Paul thinks it could have happened and is now wondering if he actually killed Mannix.
Jane appears and asks Leo if he wants breakfast while he's here. Leo declines and is skipping the eggnog as he needs to get home. Jane agrees as they'll all be at the carols later and goes off. Leo is convinced Delaney is lying. Leo promises to talk to Delaney as he thinks Delaney needs to provide proof, he heads off. Paul looks at the bauble on the tree.
No.32
Shane is teasing Nell with the water pistol. Toadie reassures Sonya that it's ok if she needs a lie down after just coming out of hospital. Sonya insists she's fine and wants to be with them all. Sonya says she's got something for the Charity Present Day. Shane mentions Dipi's tarot cards as another gift - Toadie thinks they will go well together! Shane thinks that Dipi has used tarot cards in the past so he wants to pass them on. (Dipi doesn't look so enthusiastic!)
Bea arrives and everyone is pleased to see her! Sonya comments they hadn't known that she was able to sing. Bea tells them she's not able to sing, Dipi is convinced it's nerves. Bea tells them she can't take part in the concert. Toadie is disappointed, Bea apologises, she wishes she hadn't signed up in the first place. She tells them to find another singer and leaves. Sonya suggests they ring Susan to help.
Erinsborough Hospital
Susan arrives outside Finn's room, her mobile rings in her bag She looks at it and puts her mobile back in her bag. The doctors come out and look through the window as the guard stands there as well. Susan goes in to see Finn and looks at him.
The Waterhole
Terese is talking through the plan for the concert with Jane. Jane mentions the fact they don't have a singer, Terese wants to give the others time to sort it out. Terese admires Jane's bracelet, it's a gift from Paul. Jane thinks he's a beautiful man even though others have bad things to say about him.
Leo arrives, Delaney has played the recording to him. He shows Paul a piece of paper given to him by Delaney. There is a lot of map co-ordinates on the paper, Delaney says it's where Mannix is buried. It's a couple of ks from where Paul dropped Mannix off. Paul agrees it's the right area though Leo doubts whether Delaney is telling the truth. Leo plans to find out if it's the truth tomorrow, Paul is determined to find out the truth today. Leo reminds him of the fact that it's Christmas Day.
PAUL: Jane is planning a future with me. If I am responsible for Mannix's death, it could all be over. I could end up going to jail again.
Leo thinks it's too soon to worry about this. Paul hates not knowing. He's heading off and promises to return for the concert. Leo wants to know what he should tell Jane, Paul suggests he's going to look at Jim's grave.
Penthouse Suite
Paul arrives and looks at the bauble on the tree. He takes it and leaves again.
Lassiter's Lake
Ned comes to join Bea who is sitting on the walkway. He has some mistletoe and they share a kiss. Ned tells her he had hoped this would take place at her house. Bea apologises and Ned realises that Liz is the reason behind her not singing tonight. Bea doesn't want to let people down. She realised that if she messed up again tonight Liz would love it. This surprises Ned that it's happened before. She gets Ned to promise not to laugh if she shares something with him. She was in Sydney for Christmas with Liz and Elly when she was 9. Liz pushed Bea into a contest at a nearby Shopping Centre. Bea froze after starting 'O Holy Night' and managed to wet herself in front of everyone. Bea remembers that Liz started laughing, Ned agrees it was a low thing to do. He reminds her it was a long time ago but Bea points out it's taken a long time for her to sing again. It used to be because she made money from busking. Ned reminds her Liz will have won if Bea doesn't sing tonight. Bea tells him after backing out she feels better. Ned thinks there is more to it than that.
NED: It took you ages to open up to me about your singing.
BEA: It's a personal thing.
Ned thinks it's because she's afraid and is using Liz as an excuse. Bea tells Ned she dislikes him at times! Ned encourages her to face her fears if she wants to do more singing.
No.28
Liz is stunned that Ned and Bea won't allow her to attend the concert. Ned says that it explains itself. Liz asks Beatrix why she wants to do this, she was teasing them before. Bea tells Liz that she doesn't wish for her to be a success, it's always been the case. Liz thinks it's a really bad thing for Bea to say.
Bea insists that Liz can't be there as Susan, Nell, Toadie, Hugo and Sonya arrive. Susan asks why Bea doesn't want to be in the concert. Liz tells them that Bea will be there but Liz herself won't be allowed to be there and flounces off. Bea insists she's fine, just tells them it's normal behaviour for Liz. She and Ned head off.
Susan suggests that Nell goes to find their presents and she'll get the gravy ready. Nell heads over to the tree. Toadie wants to know if Susan is ok as she didn't respond to Toadie's calls. Susan distractedly tells him she is ok. Toadie disagrees but Susan repeats that she's fine. Toadie insists she tells him what's going on.
Lassiter's Complex
Everyone sits in their seats and gets ready for the concert (in speeded up mode then it slows down.) Susan arrives and greets Toadie, there seems to be an awkward atmosphere between them. Susan thinks Toadie is mad at her,
TOADIE: As your lawyer I'm very unimpressed.
SUSAN: As my friend?
TOADIE: Still struggling to understand why you have any need to see Finn Kelly.
Susan explains she did it because it's Christmas time. Toadie asks if she feels sorry for Finn after all that's happened. Susan tells him that however bad Finn is she's the reason he's in a coma. She didn't wish for Finn to be all by himself and should have one visitor at least. Toadie reminds Susan that Finn is by himself after all his actions so that should be the end.
Jane arrives and asks Leo if he's seen Paul. Leo hasn't seen him, Jane wonders if they need to be anxious. Leo offers to call Paul and see what's happening.
Road Somewhere
Paul is driving along a road when his phone starts ringing. (The bauble is hanging up by the rearview mirror.) Paul answers the phone to Leo on his handsfree set and tells him he's still driving. Leo tells Paul he expected him to be there by this time. Paul tells Leo he took a few wrong turns, all the back roads look the same as each other. Paul asks if Jane is wondering where he is, Leo tells him that Jane is anxious about him. Leo confirms he told Jane that Paul had gone to the cemetery. Paul confirms he had planned to visit Jim's grave today so it's not a complete lie.
PAUL: I wonder what he would think if he could see me now.
Leo suggests that Paul puts the job off till the next day instead. Paul encourages Leo to go and listen to the concert as it's about to start, Leo rings off.
Lassiter's Complex
Terese is welcoming everyone to the concert. Terese explains that resident Valerie Grundy's passing has inspired the concert. She explains that Jarrod (as he is called here) thought up the concert and calls him up to give the same speech as he was practicing earlier. Yashvi asks Shane where Dipi is, Shane doesn't seem to know.
Harold's café
Dipi is behind the counter and the place is empty. Liz comes in and offers to help. Dipi points out Liz isn't allowed to be at the concert. Liz says she isn't actually at the concert, she's here and the others won't know that.
Road Somewhere
Paul is still driving.
Lassiter's Complex
Terese can't believe that Paul is missing the concert, Leo is sure that Paul will get there as soon as possible. Bea is regretting changing the song, Ned thinks she's chosen a great alternative. Bea thinks it's not quite what they were looking for, Ned reassures her it will be fine. He reminds her that Liz isn't at the concert and kisses her.
Harold's café
Liz is interested in the fact that the tarot cards predictions came true. Dipi explains that the cards told her someone close to her would die in Christmas 2011 and it came true.
DIPI: My Uncle was thrown from a horse.
Liz is sure that Dipi has a gift. Dipi tells Liz that she becomes obsessed with the tarot cards. Liz hears the cheers and goes to listen at the door.
Lassiter's Complex
Toadie motions Bea up to the stage. Bea explains it isn't a carol after all but the song explains how she actually feels about Christmas. Even when people don't make it easy the song is about loving those people. Bea starts singing 'Just for now'. Everyone in the audience starts waving their candles (not actual candles, they have a light on the end of a stick) in time to the music. Ned looks proudly on, Liz is shown listening in Harold's café and Paul driving along,, Xanthe records it on her phone, Finn in his coma.
Road Somewhere
The car stops and Paul isn't pleased. The car suddenly spins. Paul hears Jim's voice in his head.
JIM: What have you done now?
Paul sees Jim's face (Jim has aged since his death) in the bauble and Paul is stunned. Jim berates him on not learning after 25 years. Paul starts to wonder if he's dead. Jim reassures him he hasn't died and Paul wants to know what's going on. He wants to know how Jim got here and is pleased to see Jim.
JIM: I tried to teach you right from wrong son but no you always had a mind of your own.
Paul tells him things look bad. Jim reminds him that he has been responsible for killing someone in the past, Paul points out he had a brain tumour. Jim asks him what excuse Paul has this time around. Jim reminds him he's covering his tracks again. Paul says he hasn't done it for himself, he has done it for Leo's sake. Paul realises Jim never met Leo and David and tells Jim they're good sons. He talks about being in contact with Amy as well. Jim asks if Paul intends for his kids eventually to be driven away. Cameron has died, Robert is in prison, Elle and Andrew are on the other side of the world from Paul. Paul tells Jim he didn't want to be this man. Jim points out that Paul keep repeating the same mistakes again and again. Paul wants to change from whom he is at the moment and is determined to do it. He is sure he has a good chance to do this with Jane, Jim agrees she is lovely. Paul mentions that Jane wants to start a future with Paul, he will lose everything though if he goes to jail and she leaves.
PAUL: She said that you'd be proud of me Dad but you know what? Not proud of anything I've done.
JIM: It's never too late to be the man you want to be son.
The bauble fades and Paul tells Jim not to go.
Lassiter's Complex
Bea continues singing. Everyone cheers as she finishes. Bea looks really happy, so does Ned. Sonya congratulates Toadie on the concert, Toadie is really pleased with everything and they share a kiss. Bea comes offstage and shares a hug with Ned.
Harold's café
Liz is really amazed by Bea's singing and wonders how she didn't know that before now. Dipi has three tarot cards, one is the Death card. Liz asks if Dipi is ok.
DIPI: Someone close to me is going to die. (Liz looks aghast.)
Somewhere Else
Paul is digging up a grave. He stops digging when he sees a hand in the earth. He turns around and sees Jim standing there. Jim turns away and starts walking towards a distant light.
