Number 30
As Toadie, Sonya, Dipi and Shane finish their meal with Alice. Alice explains that while she wanted to work with Dipi and Shane, Nell got sick and she had to be loyal to them. Toadie and Shane do the dishes. Toadie tells Shane that Sonya seems a lot better after her AA meeting. Meanwhile, Sonya is telling Dipi that she's feeling better and her headache is gone. She and Toadie are fine, but not 100%. Alice tells them she's going to go to bed as she has to head off early, but she'll only be gone for the day. Apparently, she's going off to visit a family she used to nanny for. After Alice says goodnight, Dipi tells Sonya that it's weird that Alice has been so good with Sonya and this other family, but with her Dipi's family she's barely even trying. Maybe they just don't click.

Number 22
Terese tells Leo it's a shame it has come to this, but soon Paul will be out of her life forever. Leo says Paul is still his father and his business partner, but he keeps ignoring him. He has to sign some invoices so he will have to see him tomorrow whether Paul likes it or not. Terese apologises if the Lassiters deal has made things difficult to Leo. They both feel lucky to have each other through this. Terese is also pleased with how much Chloe has done to keep Pierce on board.

Number 24
David gets up in the middle of the night for a drink of water, surprised to see Chloe sitting at the counter. She says she's in a tricky situation. She asks hypothetically, what David would do if someone had a super rare blood type and the only donor would only donate the blood if you stay in a relationship with them, but you don't feel that way about them. David says string along the donor until the patient got what they needed and then end the relationship. Chloe chirpily stands up and heads to bed, saying that was really helpful.

Ramsay Street
Nell leads Sonya to the mailbox. She shows Sonya a card she made with a drawing of flowers on the front, and inside 'I love you' written in a big heart. Sonya gives her a hug. Toadie tells Sonya that they both wanted mummy to know just how loved she is. He checks things are okay between them, and they kiss. Toadie suggests they go for a family day out, it's been a while since it was just them.

Grovesdale Hospital, Hobart
Alice tells Andrea that everything she told her was true, Sonya's not right for Toadie and he'd be much happier with Andrea. Andrea misses him, and her little boy, and Willow. Alice says she'll make sure she sees her soon. Alice feels sorry for all the mistakes she made while she was growing up, this is their chance for a fresh start. Andrea needs to concentrate on getting better, and Alice will stick to her plan. It won't be easy as Sonya really has her hooks into him. They say Toadie's a saint and Alice has witnessed the torture Sonya has put him through.

ALICE: It's only a matter a time before her filthy addictions come back and that time has come!

(Later)

Some time has passed, and they've moved around in the ward. Alice says she's going to make Sonya fall off the wagon. She's been feeding her painkillers without her knowing and soon she'll substitute them for something stronger. Andrea is worried Sonya will figure it out, and says Toadie will stand by her. Alice says every man has their breaking point. She says Toadie loves Andrea, he just doesn't realise it yet, why else would he pay for her brand new fancy doctor. Alice assures her that they will have their happy ever after! Alice gives Andrea a mobile phone so they can stay in touch, telling her to keep it in a safe place.

ALICE: I love you Andi!
ANDREA: Mum, I love you.

They hug, and after a moment giving a quiet nod to each other, Alice leaves the room. Outside the ward, Alice bumps into Dr Taylor. She asks how Andrea was, assuming Alice is a volunteer. Meanwhile Andrea hides her phone under her pillow. Alice tells the doctor that Andrea is a bit better, and understands that her treatment is being paid for by a Mr Rebecchi. Dr Taylor says she's very lucky. After Dr Taylor leaves Alice looks through the window at Andrea, who is standing, nodding reassuringly to herself.

Harold's Café
Shane tells Yashvi he smashed his last exam. Yashvi has a couple more to go, telling him not to expect miracles. She says to herself that she needs to think of a really good plan B.

Meanwhile, Chloe tells Paul that Pierce isn't bluffing and he should take the deal while it is still on offer. Yashvi looks thoughtfully over at Chloe as she leaves. Paul gets a text from Leo saying they need to meet.

Lassiters Complex/Lassiters
Chloe bumps into Terese and asks when the contracts will be ready for Lassiters and wants Pierce to sign them the second Paul agrees. Terese goes to contact the solicitors. Yashvi rushes to catch Chloe and ask her about her dating business, as she wants in. Chloe thinks Yashvi would be a terrible date, she's harsh and sarcastic, and she isn't even 18. Chloe tells her the answer is no. Chloe heads inside Lassiters.

Piper meets Yashvi and asks about her exams. Yashvi spots Chloe talking to Pierce and wonders who he is. Piper explains that he's a new investor, not one of Chloe's dates. Chloe can't be dating anyone from the hotel. Inside, Pierce invites Chloe for a working lunch, in his room. Chloe refuses, but says she'll check her diary and get back to him with a suitable time. Yashvi looks over at them and smiles.

Lassiters Penthouse
Leo walks in, telling Paul he didn't answer any of his calls or emails so thought he'd come up. Leo says they own the Backpackers together and they need to fix the leaking pipes. Paul agrees to pay but tells Leo to go. Leo says Paul can't avoid him forever. Leo hates that things have gotten so bad that Terese wants to push him out of Lassiters, and he hates that he hurt Paul. He wants Paul to forgive him and be happy for Amy. Paul says he's busy and again tells Leo to go. Leo leaves, while Paul looks ahead sadly.

Number 32
Alice is with Toadie, Sonya, Nell and Hugo. Toadie and Sonya tell Alice that they went to the zoo. They ask how Alice's day was. She says the family she was visiting are on the mend, they have a family friend who has been very generous. Alice offers to make Sonya a special smoothie, but Sonya insists she's fine without it. As they all get ready to go to the park, Alice picks up Hugo while everyone else leaves the room, allowing Alice to describe her wicked scheme to Hugo.

ALICE: You'll be with mummy again soon. Granny just has to find a way to give Sonya some stronger medicine. Yes! Find a way to give it to her, look, look, yes! And then everything will be better.

The Waterhole
Pierce catches Chloe entering the Waterhole and invites her again to lunch. She says she's still busy. As Pierce leaves, Yashvi catches up with Chloe and again asks whether she can join the dating service. She says she knows Chloe is dating one of Lassiters investors, which Chloe denies initially. Yashvi doesn't think she has many other options, and she needs cash to go to Bali for schoolies. Chloe gives Yashvi the ring that she got from Pierce. Chloe says it's a graduation present for her, on the condition that no one finds out about her and Pierce. Yashvi agrees but warns her that if she figured it out, others will. Pierce is all over her.

Erinsborough Hospital
David checks Alice's wrist. Alice claims she tripped and hit the ground. David offers to prescribe some painkillers, a low dose of codeine. Alice says she heard codeine can be addictive, David says it isn't anything to worry about as long as she follows the instructions.

Harold's Café
Yashvi closes the ring box as she gets back to work, but drops it by Alice's feet. Alice picks it up and spots the ring, thinking its impressive. She asks where Yashvi got it, Yashvi claims she bought it and changed her mind. Alice knows that isn't true. Yashvi says the pawn shop and antiques shop won't take it.

ALICE: Well, let me tell you if you want to unload something without a trail, its best to choose someone with masses of cash and no moral compass.
YASHVI: Seriously?
ALICE: Yes. Apparently, they don't ask any pesky questions.

Alice goes to look after her kiddies. Meanwhile Leo is telling Terese about how his meeting with Paul went. Terese hopes Leo knows that she isn't doing this deal with Pierce to hurt Paul. Leo hopes Paul can cope without Lassiters, he wants him to be happy. As Leo leans in for a kiss, Terese pulls away. Piper leaves the bathroom and spots the awkward moment between them. Leo, obviously feeling rejected, says he has to get back to Lassiters and leaves. Piper joins Terese and asks her what her problem with PDA is. Terese won't talk to Piper about it.

Meanwhile, Dipi joins Yashvi. Yashvi tells her that Alice is a weirdo. Dipi thinks she's odd but harmless.

Number 32
Alice switches on the radio and starts dancing around the kitchen, humming gleefully to herself. She opens a pack of store-bought shortbread and puts onto a baking tray, before putting the box in the bin. She opens up the bottle of codeine and cheerily crushes the codeine into a powder. After heating up the biscuits in the oven she sprinkles the codeine over the shortbread.

Lassiters - Terese's Office
Pierce joins Chloe, who tells him that the lawyers have drawn up the contract for Lassiters and it should be ready in the next couple of days. Pierce suggests they celebrate. Chloe asks him if he has feelings for her. He knows they agreed not to have a relationship but he's changed his mind. She's smart, beautiful, fun and now he does have feelings. Chloe doesn't feel the same way about him. She thinks he would be a great partner for the hotel and she hopes this doesn't affect anything. Pierce thinks he should lift his game and find a way to change her mind. He suggests they take a trip away together, they can tell everyone they're looking at other hotels to bring under the Lassiters umbrella. Pierce says some time away is just what they need, especially if they're going to be working together.

Number 32
Sonya arrives, and angrily asks Alice what she's done. She laughs when she says Alice has been baking on her day off. Alice laughs too, she says it relaxes her. She can't help herself. Alice insists Sonya try one. Alice looks eagerly as Sonya eats the shortbread, hiding the codeine bottle in her pocket. She tells Sonya to eat up and have another one, while dramatic music plays.
