Police Station
Chloe is moaning about being detained. Mark tells her off and tells her to stop laughing. Chloe just walks off.
When she's gone, Mark tells Mishti that Chloe has "returned to form"
Ramsay Street
Sheila tells Gary that The Retreat is doing very well to have $100,000 in takings lying around(!) Xanthe is off to school and insists that she's fine.
Karl comes up on his bike and rants that the street sign has been stolen again. Sheila tells him sarcastically that he should have it renamed "Kennedy Circus"
KARL: Excuse me for having some civic pride!
Just then, Mark brings Chloe home.
CHLOE: Hey, get a load of this! Chloe Brennan! The train wreck show! Stealing street signs and embarrassing my Dad brother.
MARK: That's enough.
He ushers her into the house.
Harold's café
Xanthe is telling Cassius and Piper about Chloe's indiscretion. Cassius is starting at the Nursery today. When he's getting some coffees, Piper tells Xanthe that tonight might be "the night" with Cassius.
Lassiter's (Outside)
Gary tells Amy about Chloe stealing the street sign. Gary is going into town to a raw food expo and Amy offers to join him. Off his surprise, she admits that she could do with some company.
Park
Gary and Amy are walking in a park. Amy tells him she's worried about acting on stealing impulses, but he tells her that she's doing very well so far.
Gary tells her awkwardly that the expo isn't a raw food one, it's more a naughty one. Amy is takenaback, but he quickly explains he means naughty *food* - like doughtnuts. They laugh.
No.24
Chloe is resting on the sofa and Mark brings her some water. Fay has rung up to say that Chloe's latest repayment to her didn't go through. Mark tells Chloe off.
CHLOE: I get it!
MARK: No, I don't think you do. If you did, you would realise that not all of us have the luxury of living like there's no tomorrow!
These words hit home with Chloe, but for an entirely different reason that Mark intended.
Park (outside expo)
Gary and Amy have eaten many doughnuts(!) and sit down to rest. They sit down on a bench and chat about Xanthe and Finn.
They head off back in to the expo.
Harold's café
Toadie tells Piper that she's doing very well so far. Sonya and Cassius come in. Piper and Cassius make eyes at each other.
Sonya asks if Piper and Cassius have a celebration planned tonight for their first days in their new jobs.
CASSIUS: Yeah...we're thinking of trying something new(!)
PIPER: Um...it's our first time going there, so it's pretty exciting(!)
SONYA: Lovely. Let us know if you like it.
TOADIE: If it's any good, we might go there too!
No.24
Chloe is looking at a picture of herself and Fay on her phone when Karl drops round. Nobody else is around, so he sits down to talk to her. He's worried about her behaviour following her diagnosis and urges her to prioritise her well-being. She can only shut out reality for so long, and she needs to make the most of the time she has.
CHLOE: I'm not ready for any of this.
KARL: I know. No-one ever is.
He advises her to focus on her brothers and her mum. And she can live an extraordinary life if she looks after herself.
Park
Gary and Amy have eaten even more doughnuts. Gary has had a really good time. Amy keeps getting texts from Dr Rob. She's not sure if she's interested in Rob - she's not sure there's a spark. Gary advises her to give Rob a chance.
The Waterhole
Cassius is having a drink and waiting for Piper. She finally arrives and tells him it's been very hard to concentrate all day.
PIPER: So...are you hungry, because I'm not really that hungry.
CASSIUS: Yeah, me neither.
They go to kiss, but Sheila interrupts them by thrusting a Specials menu under their noses. They tell her they've got other plans and rush off.
Mark tells Karl that he's very angry with Chloe. He advises Mark not to be too hard on Chloe - she may have some deeper reasons for her behaviour.

Mark comes in and apologises to Chloe for being hard on her before. He wonders if she's upset because it's the anniversary of their father's death tomorrow. Chloe says that she's sorted the money transfer to Fay - it will come straight out of her pay at source in the future. She tells him that she's on her best behaviour in the future.
Harold's café
Xanthe tells Gary and Amy that her first day back at school went well. Amy tells Gary that she's taken his advice and set up a date with Dr Rob. They are both pleased for her. Xanthe is particularly gushing about Dr Rob!
The Waterhole
Chloe comes in to pick up some takeaway. Sheila is trying to get Mishti to take the props for the play home. Chloe offers to help and apologises to them both for her behaviour that morning.
Backpackers
Piper and Cassius sneak on to the Mezzanine at the Backpackers. They kiss, but then suddenly Piper starts getting flashbacks to her time at the Backpackers with Tyler. She tells Cassius that she "can't do this" and runs off.
(Later)
Cassius finds Piper by the lake. He asks her if she's OK.
PIPER: I didn't realise how weird it going to be for me to be back in that room. Tyler and I used to live in there. I'm sorry...let's just go back to mine.
He tells her that they don't have to rush, and says that maybe she's not fully over Tyler. She thanks him for his sensitivity and for sticking by her.
PIPER: I don't know what it is about you, I just feel so safe.
He hugs her, and suddenly Cassius has flashbacks to Piper unconscious on the beach. We see that Cassius was the one that rescued her.
PIPER:(oblivious) Thank you for being here.
