Erinsborough High School
Kirsha finds Elly collecting up the papers that Bea threw at her, and asks if she's okay. Elly says she's fine, and they both agree that sisters can be hard work! Embarrassed by Bea's humiliation of her at work, Elly heads inside. Kirsha then gets a text message, and looks worried.
Fitzgerald Motors
A subdued Bea is unresponsive when Mark tries to make small talk. When he suggests they should go over her TAFE module again later, Bea objects, saying they've already done that and that she would like to get stuck into some real work. Mark agrees and gives her an air con regassing job to do.
No 26
It's a particularly windy day on Ramsay Street, and we join Cassius in the back yard looking pensive, before Xanthe emerges in her bathers. She gives him back the photos of the garden that he gave her while she was in hospital, suggesting he could use them for promoting his services. The door of the shed is creaking and slamming in the wind, and it appears to be disconcerting Cassius.
They get to work on their rehab session, as Cassius sets Xanthe a hand exercise to do. She admits she's been thinking about playing the euphonium again, as pressing the valves might be good for her fingers. Cassius distractedly agrees, and tries to appear casual as he answers her questions about how Flapper rehearsals are going - but the banging shed door really seems to have put him on edge.
Cassius suggests they go to Harold's to continue their session, and grab a snack at the same time. Xanthe agrees.
The Waterhole
Shane, Toadie and Sheila are rehearsing scenes from Flapper, complete with hokey accents.
SHANE: You double-crossing no-gooder! Tell us where Shiny Pants stashed the dough!
TOADIE: Loretta, honey, you knows we're tight.
SHEILA: Oh, he's plainly playing me like a fiddle-dee-dee!
Dipi watches them rehearse - while Kirsha, who is doing schoolwork nearby, is distracted by another text message, but ignores it when she sees who it's from.
Dipi accuses Sheila of making things more difficult by adlibbing her lines, which causes an argument between the cast members. Dipi tells them all to take a break; Sheila tells her to keep her tassels on!
Kirsha gets another text, and worriedly asks Dipi if she can go over to Harold's, claiming she left some stuff there. Dipi says yes, and asks Kirsha to keep an eye on the new waitress, Patricia, while she's there - explaining that $50 went missing the other day.
DIPI: I think it's because she's new and keeps handing out the wrong change. Well, at least, I hope that's what it is.
Kirsha looks even more worried, and leaves.
Harold's Café
Cassius and Xanthe are doing hand exercises, when Piper comes in and asks why they're not doing their session at No 26 as planned.
CASSIUS: I was hungry.
XANTHE (touching his arm): Yeah. And he's scared of the wind!
Cassius looks uncomfortable. Xanthe goes to get another drink, while Piper asks what she meant.
CASSIUS: We were working outside.
PIPER: You work outside all the time.
CASSIUS: Well, it just felt easier to come here.
PIPER: Easier? Or more comfortable? Cass, I saw how you reacted when she touched you. You think that she still has a crush on you, don't you?
CASSIUS: Well, when I was waiting outside to work with her, she came out wearing bathers.
PIPER: And you think that she was flirting?
CASSIUS: Well, I dunno. It just felt weird. So I thought it'd be better if we came out in public.
Xanthe rejoins them, and asks Cassius to 'loosen up her hand a little bit'. He starts massaging it, still looking uncomfortable. Piper looks worried too.
Kirsha has come in in the meantime. She waits until the waitress is out of sight, then sneaks around to the till and steals another $50, presumably at Marisa's demand.
The Waterhole
At the rehearsal, Dipi is telling Sheila that she needs to stop improvising her lines, as it's making things tricky for the other actors. Sheila isn't playing ball, so Dipi threatens to bring in her mum-in-law, Angie, to take Sheila's part! This quickly shuts Sheila up.
Meanwhile, Shane is practising some of his lines on Kirsha, demanding to know where she 'stashed the dough'. But Kirsha's clearly feeling guilty about the real life dough she's been stashing, and tells Shane to stop. She produces the $50 note from her pocket, and says that the new waitress hasn't been taking the money - it was her.
SHANE: Why?
KIRSHA: Because of Marisa. She's been blackmailing me.
Lassiter's Complex
Elly is having a coffee outside Harold's when Mark comes to join her. Elly moans about Bea making a scene at school, after Elly told Mark about her dyslexia. Mark apologises, saying he shouldn't have acted on what Elly told him - but she's mainly blaming herself. Mark advises Elly to take a step back as regards Bea, and wait for her to come to Elly.
Meanwhile, Kirsha is telling Shane that she felt sorry for Marisa after she got fired and was struggling with money, so told her the truth about the posters - at which point Marisa started blackmailing her. Kirsha doesn't want the family to lose the Face of Lassiter's gig as Marisa has threatened, but equally doesn't want Patricia the waitress to take the blame for the theft.
Shane apologises; he says he should never have encouraged Kirsha to hide the truth about the posters in the first place. He promises to tell Dipi the truth, and that they'll figure it out together.
Harold's Café
Xanthe and Piper are hanging out. Xanthe says her hand seizures are getting better thanks to Cassius's rehab sessions.
PIPER: I'm really glad that he's helping you. I just hope that the lines aren't getting blurred.
XANTHE: Lines?
PIPER: Between you and Cassius. I just know that you used to have a crush on him - and you know, now he's helping you heal, and that can be attractive. You just seem to be talking about him a lot. And then there was, like, the hand touching, and the massage...
XANTHE: Wait - he doesn't think that I have a crush on him, does he?
PIPER: ... He's uncomfortable. Look, that's the only reason why I'm bringing any of this up. Because I would hate for him to stop helping you, Xanthe, over something that we can resolve.
XANTHE: I would never make a move on my best friend's boyfriend. If you can't tell him that, then I will, because...
Xanthe breaks off - her seizures are coming back. Xanthe assures Piper it will pass, but she's apologetic, assuming she's caused the problem by stressing Xanthe out. Piper says they should get Xanthe home...
The Waterhole
Dipi is telling Toadie how excited she is about Flapper, when Shane approaches and asks to speak to her. However, they're interrupted by Sheila. She's invented a new house cocktail, called The Flapper, to help promote the show, in a bid to butter up Dipi so that she doesn't replace her with Angie in the cast!
SHEILA: It's fiery, it's flirty, it's bubbly - just like our director!
Toadie points out Sheila's motivations, but Dipi says she doesn't care - she thinks the cocktail is a great idea, and will even let Sheila adlib her lines a bit as a result. Dipi tells Toadie that everything is coming together perfectly. Shane looks worried.
No 28
Bea and Elly are at home, and there's awkward silence between them. Gary turns up, and breaks the news that the police are ending their all-night patrols on Ramsay Street; since there hasn't been a legitimate sighting of Finn since Maryborough, they can no longer justify the resources. Gary tells the sisters to be extra vigilant, by locking windows etc.
Gary then gets a call from Xanthe, telling him about her seizure. He rushes off to see that she's okay. Elly closes and bolts the door behind him.
No 22
Piper is telling Cassius about Xanthe's seizure, and how guilty she's feeling for bringing it on. She explains she asked Xanthe if she still had a crush on him, in order to clear the air so it wasn't weird for Cassius anymore.
PIPER: What you're doing for Xanthe is so wonderful, and I just don't want you to stop doing it. And she told me that she doesn't have feelings for you anymore. But then she got really upset, and she just started spasming - and now I hate myself.
Cassius assures Piper that he'll go and talk to Xanthe and make sure everything's okay.
No 26
Xanthe is playing her euphonium in the garden, when Gary appears. He's worried that she shouldn't be exerting herself, but she tells him to stop worrying about her - and about Finn too.
XANTHE: It's not like he's gonna walk into our back yard in the middle of the day.
Cassius walks into the back yard. Xanthe looks uncomfortable; Cassius explains to Gary that he wanted to check on her after her seizure, and Gary leaves them to it. Xanthe covers up her bathing suit, now conscious that Cassius thinks she has a crush on him. She assures him that the crush was way before he and Piper got together, and that it's not a thing now.
CASSIUS: You don't have to explain, you know - I leapt to the wrong conclusion.
XANTHE: I just don't want you to feel awkward around me, okay? So if you don't want to help me anymore, then it's fine. I totally understand.
CASSIUS: No. I don't want to stop. And I don't want things to be weird between you and Piper either. You guys were besties way before I came along. So can we please just all start again? Go back to how we were?
XANTHE: Yeah. If you two can, then I can too.
The shed door bangs loudly again in the wind, causing Cassius to whirl around in alarm. He marches up to the shed and bolts it, so the door can't move any further. He looks traumatised.
Harold's Café
Dipi is on the phone to Mishti, who is apparently telling her about the relaxation of the police patrols on Ramsay Street. Kirsha comes in, and Dipi relays Mishti's news, warning her that she and Yashvi will have to observe a curfew for as long as Finn is on the loose. Kirsha asks if Dipi's talked to Shane much today; Dipi says not, and asks why. Kirsha makes up an excuse.
Piper comes in with Cassius; she's glad that things are sorted with Xanthe.
CASSIUS: I couldn't leave things the way they were. Wouldn't have been right.
PIPER: Oh, that's because you're thoughtful and respectful. Two of the many things I like about you. And I'm sure that you have other amazing qualities.
She kisses him.
CASSIUS: What was that for?
PIPER: It's just my way of saying that I'm ready to take things further.
CASSIUS: Are you sure? I don't want you to feel pressured...
PIPER: No, you... you've been so understanding, letting me process what happened to Tyler. And I love him, and I might always love him, but that doesn't mean that I can't be with someone else.
Cassius smiles.

Elly is cooking dinner, but Bea isn't hungry. Elly goes over to talk to her about Finn, but Bea is more interested in watching TV.
ELLY: I'm so over your attitude! I did what I did to try and help you, and you just threw it in my face! Literally!
BEA: Poor Elly (!) You're always the victim, just like our crazy mum.
ELLY: Bea, I'm a teacher. I help dyslexic kids all the time.
BEA: It's not about that! It's about your constant attempts to be the perfect sister. To make yourself happy for ignoring me for the last five years.
ELLY: I know. I'm sorry. I could've handled it better.
BEA: You think?!
ELLY: You have been shutting me out ever since Mum left. What happened to us? A week ago, we were closer than ever; we were a team.
BEA: We were never a team.
Bea marches out of the room.
Harold's Café
Piper has summoned Xanthe to come and meet her. Piper apologises for bringing up all the stuff about Xanthe's crush on Cassius, but Xanthe says it's fine.
XANTHE: I wasn't going to lose my best friend over this. And I didn't want to lose my therapy guy either. I mean, he genuinely has helped me a lot.
PIPER: Oh, I'm so glad. It's kind of weird, cos, like, he's my therapy guy too - kind of.
XANTHE: Like, helping you get over Tyler?
PIPER: Yeah. And I feel like I'm finally there; and, I dunno. I feel like I'm ready to take things further with him.
XANTHE: Piper, that's so exciting! Oh, my goodness - we need to book you in at the day spa.
PIPER: Oh my god, no - no, okay? No! It'll happen when the time's right.
XANTHE: Not even a manicure?
PIPER: No! Oh, actually, maybe...

Kirsha comes into the kitchen to talk to Shane, asking why he hasn't told Dipi about her stealing money and being blackmailed by Marisa. Shane claims he's decided to handle it himself.
KIRSHA: What did you do?
SHANE: Took care of it. Have you got any more text messages?
KIRSHA: No.
SHANE: No - so it's over. You can relax.
Shane tells Kirsha she should go to bed and get a good night's sleep, but she looks worried as she leaves. Shane looks worried too.
