Previously

- David wanting to run for the board.
- Bea taking home a jacket of Elly's and Finn smelling it.
- Finn annoyed at Bea commenting that Mark likes Elly.
- Finn walking away from the garage.
- Amy reassuring Chloe she can stop (shoplifting) any time she likes.
- Amy trying to hide the stolen stuff from Paul then saying she has something to tell him.
Penthouse suite
Amy's great revelation to Paul is that she drank his expensive whisky... all of it! She explains that it was because she was missing Jimmy and of course gets the sympathy vote from both Paul and her brothers.
PAUL: If you've got a problem.
AMY: I don't have a problem.
PAUL: You know what, that's what people say when they usually do.
She pleads that she is okay although Paul seems rather reluctant to believe her. When the family head for lunch, she used the excuse she wants to freshen up, and quickly goes to the drawer and moves the stolen stuff into her bag. To keep up the pretence, she then empties the bottle of whisky down the drain.
Lassiters Park
Susan, Elly and Bea chat about what happened to Tyler as they pack up after their yoga. Bea is invited to #28 for brunch and she is about to head with them when Finn calls. He is happy to hear that she is joining her relatives for brunch as he's got a date with the rehab nurse. Bea questions the lack of progress and he convinces her that he would love to see progress too but demands reassurance from her that she believes in him, which she gives.
Before she hangs up, she asks if he can leave Elly's jacket somewhere where she can quickly grab it - but before he does that, he hugs the jacket.
The Waterhole
Before David heads off to his meeting, Paul chastises the boys for not looking out for their sister while he was away. "We did," Leo pleads on behalf of them both and wonders if Amy does have a drinking issue or not. Paul is convinced she has a problem (and apparently, she did come for lunch but took one sip of coffee then left) and doesn't want to see her go down the slippery slope.
Number 28
Bea has arrived for brunch and thanks her sister for sticking up for her with Mark and Susan reassures her niece that Mark won't hold a grudge when he gets home from Adelaide.
As Karl hobbles over to the table, Bea quizzes him about the physio that he will need once the boot comes off and he laughs at her commenting about the physios making house calls - his treatment will be taking place at the hospital. Elly remarks that if he gets on the board, he will qualify for VIP treatment, but Karl's wish (should he get on it) is simply better treatment for Susan's MS.
Bea's place
Finn quickly hides what he was up to when he hears Bea's keys in the door. He doesn't seem very happy to hear that Elly has made peace with Mark and is even less pleased when Bea suggests that he goes to Erinsborough hospital for physio (after Karl called them the best), citing that he's happy with the current arrangements plus he doesn't like leaving the apartment either. She isn't finished though and starts to push things, but he pulls the emotional card on her by saying that she's "got no idea what its like." "You're right," she quickly tells him and admits that she wonders if his condition is affecting him in other ways and suggests that he talks to a counsellor.
FINN: I don't need a psych. I need a girlfriend who's got my back.
"You know I do," she reassures him with and he isn't happy she's been talking to her family about him. "I haven't," she tries to explain but isn't given a chance to say more as Finn yells at her to:
FINN: Keep your mouth shut and not talk to anyone about me. Ever!
Bea quickly grabs her keys and gets out of the apartment pronto.
Hospital
"You'll be fine," Clive reassures David with, as well as confirming that he's got his vote, as he nervously waits to give his hustings to the board. Karl wishes David the best too before he hobbles into the room.
Harold's café
Yashvi brings Bea over a drink on the house as way of encouraging her to get what is up off her chest so she doesn't scare away the customers! Bea explains that she had a fight with her wheelchair-bound boyfriend, but it was how he turned, that has scared her. She wonders if she is putting too much pressure on him and Yashvi is quick to tell her that wheelchair or not, nobody should treat her like that.
Meanwhile, Paul tries again to have a coffee with his daughter... and drops into the conversation that he has arranged for Terese to have a word with her. Amy pleads that she doesn't have an issue, but Paul is insisting that she talks to Terese.
Hospital
David and Karl present their reasoning to the gathered on why they should be allowed to join the board. Its basically going back and forth between Karl advocating the MS trial and David being against it.
School
Susan asks Elly how it's going with her sister. Elly feels she is perhaps pushing her sister too hard although Susan points out that the lass will be guarded given how long she was out of Elly's life. Both agree that Bea is changing, and Susan points out that patience will still be required.
Someone though has been watching them chat - Finn and he looks very happy to have snapped a photo of Elly on his phone.
Hospital
David and Karl are invited back into the room to hear the verdict - its Karl who has been unanimously voted onto the board. "I'm deeply honoured," he acknowledges and graciously says that David has a fantastic future ahead of him. David exits the room and Karl's first piece of business is proposing that the MS trial goes ahead.
Terese's office
Amy is now pleading with Terese that there is nothing wrong. Terese is badgering Amy to admit she has a problem and eventually, Amy gives in and admits that she has started a compulsion recently but says it's the drinking rather than what it actually is but reassures Terese that it is over.
AMY: Honestly, it was a blip on the radar. I'm done.
Bea's place
Bea is relieved to see that Finn is still at home after their fight earlier. "I'm not going anywhere," he reassures her with and is aghast at what came out of his mouth and wants to make things up to her since he can't take back what he said. His whole demeanour has changed and tells her that he promises to see about getting his name on the hospital physio list, and after explaining he want out in a cab, hands over a pressie to her. She is more surprised at hearing he left the house, than at the actual pressie!
FINN: I wanted to do something nice for you.
BEA: That is a huge step.
"I couldn't have done it without your support," he explains before telling her to open the bag. She does that and it's a blue dress, and while grateful, she doesn't look too keen initially on it as its not her usual style, but after he said it was the prettiest dress, she now describes it as "beautiful." Finn sends her off to the bathroom to change into it, so he can take a photograph.
Power Street/Terese's office
Amy pulls up in her Ute to deposit the stolen stuff in a clothes bank... as we hear Terese's reassure Paul that he has nothing to worry about, what happened was a one off. However, Amy can't go through with actually putting the stuff into the clothes bank, and quickly puts them back into her bag before getting back into her Ute and driving off. Terese does advise Paul to keep an eye on Amy in case she tries to cover things up.
PAUL: So, what should we be looking for then?
TERESE: Well signs that she's hiding her behaviour or worse, hiding evidence of her behaviour. Now, that's when I'd start to worry.
Handy woman
Accompanied to 'Bird in hand', Amy deposits the stolen stuff instead into a drawer in the filing cabinet in her office.
Hospital
Clive tries to reassure David that what happened in the deliberations wasn't personal before they are joined by Karl and Susan. She too hopes that there are no hard feelings and David reassures her that there won't be and wishes the trial all the best.
David and Susan move off and Karl thanks Clive for his vote. "Enjoy your success," is his non-committal reply and expands further that he only changed his mind and voted for Karl so not to peeve the other board members off, since he knows his position is tenuous and he is also refusing to get behind Karl's MS trial.
Number 32
Bea drops past to thank Yashvi for listening to her earlier but asks that she doesn't tell anyone about 'Patrick'. "Serious, why?" Yashvi asks and after Bea explains that he is self-conscious about the wheelchair, agrees to the request. The lass suggests that since everything is now "awesome" that perhaps they should fight more! Bea thinks that she overrated, and that 'Patrick' just needed time to cool down.
YASHVI: So, he apologised?
BEA: He couldn't be more sorry. He even got me a dress.
"That's nice of him," Yashvi says but Bea is still basking in what Finn did, as nobody has done anything like that for her before. "Yes well, as long as its for the right reasons," Yashvi replies before going back to sunbathing.
BEA: He gets me and for that I love him for it.
Bea's place
And now we find out why Finn bought Bea that dress - it's similar to the one Elly was wearing!
