No 22
Paige loudly reports back to David, who has just got Gabriel to sleep, about Mark and Elly's chocolate-making date.
PAIGE: You do know what that means, don't you? Chocolate! It's sweet and it's sticky, and it's romantic. You do know that the cacao bean is an aphrodisiac, don't you? (...) It's made me realise that I don't want him to be with anyone else but me. And now - now it's too late.
David thinks she's overreacting - it's just one date. But Paige is now worried about what would happen even if Mark did reciprocate her feelings, because it would mean hurting Elly. David suggests that Paige could talk to Elly - as Paige's friend, he's sure she would back off if Paige asked her to.
Harold's Café
Piper arrives to meet Tyler, who's at a table. He reminds her of their upcoming physio session at The Shed. Piper tells him that her online trolls have hit back, after she posted the latest video slamming them for their misogyny. Tyler remarks on the 'full on' comments that the video is attracting.
PIPER: Yeah. Pretty nasty. And most of them can't spell.
Tyler's concerned that Piper is continuing to engage in dialogue with the trolls, by responding to their messages. But Piper recalls their attacks on Xanthe, adding that nobody messes with her friends. Piper says that one particular troll, 'Incognitro', keeps commenting every time she posts. Tyler looks worried.
The Waterhole
Terese is also looking worried, when Gary arrives. It's evident that she's been avoiding him, using work as an excuse. But he's keen to spend time with her, sacrificing a planned weekend in Frankston so he can see more of Terese. However, Terese says she has too much work, adding that Alexis, the day spa manager, has quit once again - which will likely attract the ire of Jasmine Udagawa.
Gary asks if they can at least meet for lunch later, but Terese again says she doesn't have time. She kisses him and rushes off, leaving Gary looking disappointed.

Mark and Elly are back from their chocolate-making date, having apparently stuffed their faces. Elly thanks Mark for inviting her, and he says he had fun. But when she asks if he wants to continue the fun at the Back Lane Bar - referencing previous fun and frolics that she and Paige have had there - Mark says he's not sure he's up for it right now.
He adds that he's going to head down to The Shed to support Aaron, but when Elly offers to accompany him, Mark reminds her she's already done one workout today. There's a definite sense of awkwardness in the air, so Elly relents and tells Mark to call her when he wants to catch up. She leaves, and Mark looks conflicted.
The Shed
Mishti is leading a workout session, while Aaron mans the desk. Leo turns up and congratulates his fellow shed-business-owners on a job well done. Speaking of which, Leo explains that the council has finally approved the reopening of the backpackers'. He and Mishti agree to help cross-promote the two businesses.
LEO: It's nice to have someone in my corner. Things at home aren't that supportive at the moment.
Aaron asks if something is wrong between Leo and David. Leo says it will sort itself out eventually, and leaves them to it.
Meanwhile, Tyler is helping Piper with her physio session, but she's more interested in the troll messages that continue to pop up on her phone. Tyler wryly suggests to Aaron that he implement a phone ban at The Shed, but Aaron retorts that the place relies on social media, before stopping to take a selfie with Tyler and Piper.
Aaron advises Piper that the best way to deal with online haters is to ignore them, while Mishti says she needs to 'draw a line in the sand' and shut down the trolls by reporting them to the site administrators, and possibly the police if she feels genuinely threatened. Piper insists it's not a big deal, and that she can handle it.
Erinsborough Hospital
Terese is attending her first chemotherapy session; Karl tells her the oncology nurse will be with them soon. After the treatment she may feel tired and nauseous, Karl says - but that if anything persists, to call him or Dr Barnes, the oncologist. Karl asks if Dr Barnes spoke to Terese about inserting a catheter. She replies that she didn't want anything permanent.
KARL: It's just, there are benefits.
TERESE: Yeah. But the drawback is that somebody might see it.
KARL: Right. Gary?
TERESE: He doesn't know.
KARL: Look, Terese - this treatment is not gonna be easy. You need all the support you can get.
TERESE: I'll manage.
KARL: But there's nothing wrong with asking for help.
TERESE: I'm fine.
Karl reluctantly stops pressing her and leaves, just as Paul arrives, with a bag of provisions for the next few hours.
TERESE: You didn't have to.
PAUL: No, I know I didn't. But I did.
TERESE: Well, thanks. Just leave it there.
PAUL: I'm not going anywhere. No, I've cleared my schedule for the day. Because as much as Karl's bedside manner is good, he really has no first-hand experience of what you're about to go through. No - you need an expert by your side.
Terese smiles worriedly.

Elly turns up to see Paige. She moans that Mark didn't want to continue their date.
ELLY: We were having so much fun until we got back to his. And then (...) it was like he had something else on his mind.
Elly wonders aloud whether Mark might still be interested in Sonya, but Paige doesn't think so. Elly apologises for talking to Paige about Mark, but Paige insists it's fine.
ELLY: It's just, I've never really had a close girl friend before. You're the first one I haven't scared off.
PAIGE: Yet.
ELLY: It's just nice to be able to talk about this stuff to someone who doesn't have a Y-chromosome, or who is gay, or over 50.
PAIGE: Well, I'm your girl. I'm here to tell you the home truths, and give you tough love, and whatever else you need to hear.
ELLY: I should have come to you last time I was interested in someone. Finn. And all the rest - you probably could've talked some sense into me.
PAIGE: Well, Mark's different.
ELLY: Exactly. That's why I want to see if we've got a chance. I know that he's one of the good ones - and if there's something there, I want to see where it goes.
PAIGE: Well, then you should.

In the garden, Shane exhibits the latest functionality on Rolli the lawnmower to Karl and Toadie - fetching beers! He has installed stubby-holders specifically for the purpose, and Karl and Toadie are suitably impressed. Gary turns up, and asks Toadie if he fancies a fishing trip, moaning that he was meant to spend the weekend with Terese but that she's busy with work.
Shane wonders if Gary might be in the doghouse, and that's why Terese is occupying herself elsewhere. Knowing the truth, Karl looks awkward and leaves them to it. Once he's gone, Shane suggests Gary arrange some romantic TLC for Terese.
SHANE: Chocolates, perfume... Bit of poetry, I could write you some?
TOADIE: Perfume's always a safe bet, mate.
SHANE: Or I could write you something?
Toadie shakes his head frantically at Gary! Gary opts to stick with perfume...
Erinsborough Hospital
Paul continues to keep Terese company during her chemo session. He's playing quizmaster, but Terese is clearly becoming tired.
PAUL: I got a phone call from Daniel yesterday. He told me that he's enrolled in a college in California. But I guess you'd already heard that from Imogen?
TERESE: I did.
PAUL: Yeah, it was good talking to him on the phone. Even though things are a lot better between the two of us, the phone calls are still few and far between unfortunately.
TERESE: I'm glad he called.
Terese suggests Paul leave, as she's going to close her eyes for a bit. But Paul insists he's staying put.
PAUL: Daniel said that you suggested he call me. Which means I owe you one. You know how I hate being in debt, so I guess I'm just going to have to stay here until that debt is fully paid.
Terese relents, and smiles at Paul as he puts a blanket around her. Paul looks concerned for Terese.
The Shed
Karl is keen to join in one of Aaron's workout sessions, but Mishti suggests she do a one-on-one with him first to gauge his fitness level. Karl assures her he's in 'peak physical condition', but Mishti tells him it would be free, which changes everything!

Tyler and Piper have finished their session, meanwhile, but Piper continues to focus on her vlog. She's rounded up support from other female gamers for her cause, and has reported the offending accounts to the administrator. Tyler worries this will stir up the trolls even more, but Piper says it will mean they won't be able to comment on her vlog anymore.
Piper then takes a selfie of her posing outside The Shed to post online, saying she's refusing to be intimidated by the haters. Tyler doesn't seem sure it's the wisest move...
The Waterhole
Gary catches up with Val, Terese's incompetent assistant. He wants to know where Terese is, but Val seems to have no idea.
GARY: Isn't it your job?
VAL: You're her fiancé - isn't it yours?
Val claims that when Terese 'bothers to show up at work', she's vague or tired, and was asleep at her desk yesterday. Val says he advised her to go to the doctor's, so wonders if that's where she is. Gary looks worried.
No 24
Tyler carries Piper and her crutches through the front door. She's still receiving messages on her phone - but this one is from her vlog's administrator, informing her they've shut down Incognitro's account, and issued a warning about how future trolling will be dealt with on her channel. Piper says she loves Tyler for being so supportive, as he grudgingly admits she was right about how to handle it.
TYLER: Look, I'm proud of you for sticking to your guns.
PIPER: Yeah. I stood up for my beliefs, and my rights. And I got the best possible outcome (...) I think it's abundantly clear that Piper Willis always knows best.
TYLER: Always.
But the fact that there are still six minutes of the episode remaining suggests her jubilation may be premature...

Toadie advises Shane to add another attachment to the lawnmower, to carry snacks - but Shane replies that Rolli is already in the testing phase with the manufacturer, so it's too late.
Gary shows up again, and hands Shane a bag of perfume which he'd bought for Terese, telling him to give it to Dipi because he couldn't find Terese. (There's no explanation as to why he couldn't just wait until he next saw her!) Gary explains that Val thought Terese might be at the doctor's, adding that she's been tired and skipping meals.
SHANE: And how have things been in the bedroom?
TOADIE: Mate, what is wrong with you?!
SHANE: Humour me. I may know what's up.
GARY: We've never had any problems in that department. Oh, come to think of it, there was the time she found out that Brooke invented the Limber Ladybird...
SHANE: The Limber what? Tell me about that!
GARY: No, never mind. But come to think of it, she has kept her distance this past week.
Shane says he may know what's wrong with Terese - and it's something Gary isn't expecting. He gives him back the perfume, saying he'll need it...
Harold's Café
Mishti and Aaron are congratulating themselves over the successful launch of The Shed. Mark turns up and congratulates them too, telling Aaron he's proud of him. He then goes over to another table, where Paige is sitting with Gabriel in his pram. Paige and Mark coo over how cute Gabriel is, and Paige asks after Mark's date with Elly.
MARK: She's, erm - she's fun. I like her.
PAIGE: ...
MARK: Paige, there is part of me that wonders whether there's still something between you and I. And I know that in Queensland we said we wouldn't go there. But I've been thinking, and - I dunno. Have you been thinking anything?
PAIGE: I dunno. I dunno, I just - it wouldn't be right.
MARK: Why? Because of Jack?
PAIGE: No, no - that's over. I just can't commit to anyone at the moment. It wouldn't be fair on Gabe, and it definitely wouldn't be fair on you. And Elly's great - she is. And I'd hate for either of you to miss out on a possible future because you were waiting for me.
MARK: Are you sure that's what you want?
PAIGE: ... Yeah.
MARK: ... Okay. I'll respect that.
But neither of them look very happy.

Tyler is giving Piper a foot massage, when Aaron arrives with bad news for Piper. He passes her his phone, with a video that's been posted online. It's the 'very special episode' of Pipe Up which she once recorded for Tyler, in private.
PIPER: Oh my god, where did you get this video?!
Aaron tells her that it was posted on a gaming forum using The Shed's hashtag after Piper posted her selfie. He adds that the resulting comments are 'pretty bad'. Piper says she'll contact that administrator again, but Aaron says it's too late for that. As Piper looks at the post, she realises that everything she's ever backed up to the cloud has been hacked and leaked online!
PIPER: All my personal documents, every photo, video - everything is up on this forum and anyone can see it!

Terese is lying on the sofa under a blanket, when Gary comes in with the perfume and a bunch of flowers. She complains that she's feeling unwell and needs to rest.
GARY: I understand. I do now.
TERESE: Can we talk later?
GARY: Of course. I just wanted you to know that I get why you didn't tell me. I mean, it would have thrown most people. Let alone given your job, and where you are in life.
TERESE: ... How... so you know?
GARY: Yeah.
TERESE: I'm sorry. I - I wanted to tell you, but I wasn't sure -
GARY: You don't have to apologise. Honestly, it's fine. The most important thing is that I'm gonna be there for you every step of the way.
TERESE: Really?
GARY: Of course (...)
TERESE: Thank you.
GARY: I made a hash of the first couple of jobs, but I'm determined to make a difference. And don't you try and be nice and tell me otherwise. I might have lucked out with Kyle and Xanthe - they're great kids but it's no thanks to me. But this time is gonna be different; I'm going to be the best dad ever for this little one.
He pats Terese on the stomach! She looks bewildered...
