Erinsborough Hospital
Susan comforts Steph because this is a loss for her too. Susan has tried to tell Sonya about Toadie's accident but she doesn't want to talk about him. She will call Karl and tell him about the baby.

St Thomas' Hospital, London
Karl arrives to see Toadie with a phone charger... and Holly, who has naturally grown considerably since we last saw her almost three years ago. Karl's phone rings and it's Susan but he says he will call her back later. Toadie wants to speak to Sonya but Karl tells him he needs to be in the right head space. He leaves to take Holly to a friend's place and Willow arrives.

WILLOW: Maybe you don't want to see me. There's no excuse for what Mum's done, but I can explain why it happened...

Number 30
Terese and Gary are babysitting Nell and cooking dinner. They discuss how Andrea played Toadie. Sheila arrives, having arranged cover for Sonya's mayoral and nursery duties. She offers to finish up but Terese wants to stay with Gary. Xanthe comes out of the bedroom and says Nell is still asking for her parents. Paige arrives and asks what's going on with Sonya... is the baby OK?

Erinsborough Hospital
Jack has come to see Sonya. Sonya is too upset to speak so Mark asks if he will conduct baby Caitlin's funeral. Jack says he would be honoured. Paige appears at the window of the room and looks on, sadly. Mark leaves Sonya to sleep.

In the corridor, Aaron and Tyler comfort Mark. Paige offers her condolences but Mark cuts her off. The Brennan brothers leave.

JACK: To lose child; it's something I couldn't have imagined until recently.

Paige tells Jack they've almost finished packing up Harold's and mentions they haven't seen him in there recently. She tells him she didn't want to push him away; she's just trying to do what's right by everyone.

St Thomas' Hospital
Toadie tells Willow he gets that Andrea has had a hard life but she is responsible for the choices she's made and he's not in a forgiving state of mind. Willow wishes she had spoken up.

TOADIE: It wasn't your fault. None of this has been.
WILLOW: It has in a way. Mum's always struggled with feeling like she can't give me the same opportunities other kids have.
TOADIE: Every parent struggles with that, Willow. It doesn't turn them into a con artist.

Willow blames herself for going on about wanting to be a pilot. She assures Toadie she didn't know about the money and promises to keep trying to get it back for him. She asks him not to go to the police as Andrea wouldn't cope in jail, and neither would she. Toadie says he will think about it.

TOADIE: Do you want to stay with your Mum?
WILLOW: What do you mean?
TOADIE: Well maybe we could look into you coming back to Australia. You deserve so much more than her. I mean, you can go to school and actually make a life for yourself.
WILLOW: I'm all she's got.
TOADIE: Just think about it.
WILLOW: I wish you were my Dad.
TOADIE: Yeah, me too.

Willow kisses Toadie and leaves.

Erinsborough Hospital
Jack tells Paige he's going to conduct the service for the baby. Paige says he's the perfect person for it and that's why he should stay in the church. Jack says it's a privilege but so is having a child. Paige says she could so easily be in Sonya's position after the accident. Jack tells Paige that she and the baby are both a part of him and he won't be walking away from them. Paige suggests he carry on being a priest and come to visit her in Queensland during his breaks.

JACK: So, a part time Dad?
PAIGE: Why can't you do both? A congregation and a child. Yeah, it might not be traditional but I reckon we could do it.

Number 30
Sheila inadvertently insults Terese by saying the cologne she gave Gary smells like air freshener. Xanthe reports that Nell is finally asleep.

SHEILA: Your Dad's wearing cologne!
XANTHE: Really?
SHEILA: Terese gave it to him.
TERESE: Yeah, I didn't realise it was going to cause such a commotion!

Terese tries Gary's pasta sauce and says it's delicious. Sheila says Terese doesn't expect much of Gary and Terese says that's not true. Sheila leaves and Terese tells Gary he doesn't have to wear the cologne. Gary says he's all for new experiences and they kiss.

Harold's Café
Jack runs into Amy and asks for a word as he doesn't like the way they left things. Amy says he broke his vows and needs to take responsibility for his mistakes. Jack says he's not happy about Paige moving to Queensland but they will make it work. Amy says she knows what it's like to raise a kid on her own. Jack says he's asked Paige to stay and offered to leave the church. Amy tells him to try harder.

St Thomas' Hospital / Erinsborough Hospital
Karl returns and breaks the news to Toadie about Sonya losing the baby. Toadie is devastated.

KARL: I'm afraid there's more, mate. Sonya knows that you and Andrea spent the night together.

Karl says it was something about Sonya seeing them on Skype. Toadie opens up his laptop and sees the video window still open. Toadie can only keep saying no, and we see Sonya in her hospital bed back in Erinsborough.

Number 30 (next morning)
Mark relieves Susan of babysitting duties and Nell asks him where Mummy is and when Daddy is coming home.

NELL: Are you sad?
MARK: You know how we were excited about meeting baby Caitlin? She's changed her mind about coming to stay with us.
NELL: Where is she?
MARK (fighting the tears): She's up in the sky. Up in the stars where she'll be safe.

Nell hugs Mark.

Number 32 back yard
Paige was up in the night because the baby was moving and she was thinking about Mark and Sonya.

PAIGE: Mum, it's all just so unfair. Mark wanted this baby so badly he would have done anything to get it and here I am; I didn't even plan for mine.

Lauren tells Paige she deserves the baby as much as anybody and Paige says so does Jack. She tells Lauren her idea of Jack keeping the baby secret from the church and being a long distance Dad. Lauren asks if she's really OK with that and Paige says it's a solution that gives everyone what they want.

Number 26 back yard
Xanthe questions Sheila about being annoyed with Terese last night but Sheila denies it and is distracted by a missing trowel. Gary returns from a power walk with Terese and says Terese borrowed the trowel. They went past the community centre and Gary is thinking of signing up for Thai cooking classes.

SHEILA: Ah, let me guess... Terese's idea?
GARY: Yeah, she thinks I've got talent. I could train to become a chef.
SHEILA: Yes, and you could focus on your family because Xanthe is doing year 12 if you hadn't noticed, and she needs your support.
XANTHE: Oh, I'm fine. I'm supported, really.
SHEILA: And I need my gardening trowel!

Gary goes off to get the trowel and Sheila tells Xanthe this is about Terese trying to change Gary just before she gets bored and moves on again.

Number 24 (nursery)
Mark is taking an emotional look around the nursery. Aaron, Tyler and Jack come in and ask if there's anything they can do but it's clearly best to leave him alone. Mark hears somebody come back in and snaps but looks up and it's Steph. She comforts him.

St Thomas' Hospital
Karl finds Toadie trying to get dressed to go home but he's in pain and needs to stay in for observation. Toadie pleads with Karl to help him get on a plane. Karl says he will pull every string to get him out of here as soon as he's ready. Toadie breaks down, blaming himself for everything's that's happened.

TOADIE: Sonya saw me with Andrea and then she lost the baby.
KARL: No, no, Sonya was unwell after the amnio...
TOADIE: I should have been there for her. I should have shown her love like she always shows me. And I should have been... I should be there now. Sonya's a good person. She deserves better than this.

Number 32 back yard
Jack arrives and tells Paige he can't agree to what she suggested. Now he knows about the baby she doesn't need to run away.

JACK: Look, I know this isn't going to be easy and the church definitely won't like it, but why don't we just give it a try our own way? Let me lead the parish and be a father to our child here? Look, I know this means not following your family, and this is no way an ultimatum, but I know that we can make this work.
