Number 32
Brad helps Lauren get into her costume (an air hostess) for her hen's do and tries to divert attention when she asks why his finger is covered up. He then spots Ned's letter and doesn't look too happy when he starts reading.
Cue titles!
Number 32
The Ramsay Street women arrive all costumed up for the hen do. Piper (Nancy-Bird Walton) welcomes Sonya (butterfly fairly queen) and keeps her company although isn't too happy she gave up her spot in the hot air balloon to Elly! Lauren (and Brad) enter the kitchen and explain about Ned taking off, and Lauren wants to cancel the party but Brad is insistent that it should go ahead.
The Waterhole
Susan only came in to get a bottle for the party but instead finds herself giving Terese counsel as she's down in the dumps over Gary. The main thing Terese is missing Gary for is the bedroom action and even Susan is shocked at some of the stuff he/they did!
Number 32
Sonya relays the news that Steph is bailing (from both party and balloon ride) as she's had a crap day and doesn't want to bring the mood of the night down. Lauren thinks it's a sign they should cancel but Piper is having none of that and Susan arrives (as a witch) to join the party and relays news that Elly isn't coming either.
Harold's Café
Leo is impressed with Amy's costume (Wonder Woman) when he spots her in the store as she comes to collect a cake for the party.
Jack catches Brad to say he is sorry to hear about Ned taking off and to ask if he can do anything. Brad is more interesting to know what the story is between him/Paige as she asked him to collect her easel from Blaze. Jack explains they had a fight but refuses to give any more details than that and hopes that the old adage of 'time heals everything' works for them, beginning with him returning the easel personally.
Paige's bedroom
Paige stands looking at herself in the mirror.
Number 32
Sheila turns up for the party also dressed as a witch and wishes Susan had given her the heads up she was going as one too! Paige finally turns up too dressed in a habit (a flying nun) and just as she's entered the kitchen, Jack arrives with her easel and isn't impressed at seeing her costume one bit!
Ramsay Street
"Was the hen's party too much for you?" Amy innocently asks Jack when she spots him exiting #32 and he replies "yes" before walking off down the street leaving her standing bemused.
Terese (an angel) gets waylaid on her way across the street by Gary wanting to talk. He tries to explain to her that Paul had him over a barrel and admits to stealing the strategy file (but removed bits of it before giving it to Paul) however Paul caught him trying to put it back thus why he saw it all. "So you both broke into my office!" she comments and it gets worse when he then admits that it was Paul who ordered him to date her in the aftermath of her divorce party.
TERESE: Now I really do feel like a fool.
GARY: I would have asked you out sooner but I just never had the guts. I didn't betray you Terese, just pretended to.
Number 28
Angus doesn't get the hint that Elly wants to be left alone to mope and then tries to be guard dog when Piper comes over to kick Elly's butt into joining the party (because she's not the only one hurting at Ned taking off). "It's not like I'll be missed," Elly protests but Piper has selective hearing issues and says her mind before leaving.
Number 32
"Have I ruined the party mum?" Paige asks and is told no but is ordered to go sort things out with Jack.
Number 28
Angus is now working on Elly to get her to go to the party and eventually gets her to go.
Number 32
Susan can't resist calling Karl to tell him about some of the moves Gary performed on Terese but she can sense he's had a few drinkies so tells him to call it a day.
Piper interrupts the party to give a speech but she is upended by Elly's arrival however finally gets round to proposing a toast to Lauren to welcome her into the family.
And it looks like the ladies have an unwanted guest lurking outside - Jacka!
The Waterhole
Without mentioning Terese's actual name, Gary seeks counsel from Jack although he wishes not to hear about their bedroom exploits! "Please let me apologise," Paige interrupts their conversation with and Gary decides to leave them to it.
Paige explains that while she was mad and acting out, she didn't think he'd be at the house and denies making fun of him behind his back. "You now how much the church means to me," he reminds her and didn't like her joke although she denies that was the case.
JACK: What's your explanation Paige?
PAIGE: I love you and I know you love me and you've chosen the church, so I guess it's my twisted way of dealing with it.
JACK: Exactly Paige twisted! You need to stay out of my life alright and go and find someone else you can laugh at.
Number 32
The hen party is more like a wake now that depressed Paige has returned. Even Terese bails (after getting a text message) and says to enjoy the balloon ride (she can't go due to working). Susan has vetoed more bubbles for Elly (in favour of water) and Lauren tries to explain to her that she doesn't think Ned had any choice but to leave.
Number 28
Elly stumbles her way home from the party and Angus has a huge grin on his face as he helps drunk Elly to her bedroom.
Lassiters Hotel
Gary has embellished the truth somewhat but it's worked, Terese has arrived to their usual room. "What am I doing?!" she asks and goes to leave but Gary yells "wait" and to plead he isn't the bad guy (before putting on a false set of devil horns to his head) but she's not letting him sweet-talk his way out of it.
GARY: I let Paul Robinson back me into a corner but never again, he's got no hold over me now. I'm one hundred percent committed to you and Lassiters, in that order if you'll give me a second chance.
Terese doesn't say anything and Gary pulls the horns off his head and continues his speech.
GARY: I don't know what else to say. You're an amazing woman Terese, I'm sorry I let you down, you certainly deserve much better than that.
"Put them back on," she tells him with a glint in her eye, which he does before assisting putting back on her angel wings and closing the door thankfully before they get up to who knows what behind the closed door!!!
Number 32
The party is over as the place is in darkness when Jacka quietly enters the house through the kitchen window. However, just as he's looking at the hen's schedule, he hears the boys (Brad/Toadie) coming home and hides in the laundry room and is caught red handed trying to make his escape. Once he's reeled back into the house, Brad punches him; however he uses his physique to break free and makes a bolt for the front door. Brad wants to pursue him but Toadie holds him back, telling him to let the cops deal with it.
(Later)
Final commercial break later Toadie calls the incident in to the police while Lauren tends to Brad's sore hand, relived that Jacka didn't cause any real damage. Paige assumes he'll go back inside now (once caught) and Toadie reassures her that is what should happen as it's a clear breach of his bail conditions.
After Paige heads back to bed and Toadie says goodnight, Brad apologises to Lauren for losing control, something in him just snapped. She just hopes he's found/locked up and that they will have a great time ballooning tomorrow morning.
Balloon site, Paterson Hills
It's early in the morning and the operator leaves once he's set the balloon up for the ladies. He might wish he hadn't as someone is lurking - Jacka and armed with a wrench, sets about tampering with the gas supply.
