- Xanthe and Ben kiss after he serenades her
- Aaron tells Madison that she can sing
- Paige is upset that Brad and Lauren aren't supporting her
- Tyler catches Angelina putting white powder on her hands
- Paige says she's "got this"
- Jack can't watch
The ref reminds Paige and Angelina of the rules, and tells them whhen the bell goes, they'll come out fighting. Paige goes back to her corner, the bell goes... and credits roll.
Piper arrives and screams encouragement. Not that I know anything about boxing, but Paige seems to be having a pretty hard time. She's on the ropes (literally). Tyler and Toadie shout instructions, while Piper can't bear to look.
PIPER: How is she gonna survive ten of these?
Ben tells Madison he's happy to be her regular guitarist. She tells him she's not sure how regular the gigs are going to be.
XANTHE: Has Terese got boulders in her head?
MADISON: The Waterhole is a suburban pub. The demand's just not that great.
By an amazing coincidence, Madison gets a text from Lucy, inviting her to an audition at Lassiter's Gold Coast, where their resident artist has just left. Xanthe suggests that she and Ben tag along for the audition, and tells her it's a once- in- a- lifetime opportunity. Madison says she can't leave her job, but Ben say she has to ask Terese.
Paige is still on the ropes, when the bell goes for the end of the round. Tyler approaches Paige and asks about Angelina's gloves. Carmen says that Angelina has eczema. Paige asks about Jack, but Tyler tells her to focus. Just before the bell, Brad arrives, and encourages her to go hard.
Madison is running through Terese's appointments, and Terese asks her when she was going to mention Lucy's offer. She points out that Madison will be singing 5 nights a week, and her parents will be just down the road: it's a win- win. She says that she will also be living near her ex.
TERESE: Maddie, you're talking to the woman whose husband left her and shacked up with his new girlfriend across the road. Logan's in Brisbane. You'll be on the Gold Coast. He shouldn't factor into your decision at all.
Xanthe came in just at the end of the conversation and asks if it's a yes. Terese says it is from her point of view.
Paige is still coming off second- best.
Xanthe invites Sheila to lunch at the Kennedys'. Ben is cooking and they want to ask something.
Toadie comments he's amazed Paige is still standing. Then Paige gets in a punch and Angelina collapses to the floor, out cold. Paige and her supporters cheer wildly. Then Paige looks over at Angelina.
PAIGE: Why isn't she moving?
Tyler and Piper are praising Paige, but she is worried about Angelina. Aaron comes in to say she's gone to hospital.
PAIGE: I knocked someone unconscious.
TYLER: She tried to do the same to you. It's called boxing.
Ben and Xanthe make lunch for Karl, Susan and Sheila, not altogether successfully. But who hasn't scraped the burnt bits off a piece of toast? Anyway Karl is on call, and has to leave, which worries Xanthe because he was the voice of reason. Ben thinks wine and chocolate cake will work.
Aaron tells Paige that Fight Fit magazine want to do a story on her. Karl walks past and he tells them that Angelina has suffered a brain haemorrhage, and they might have to operate.
PAIGE: This is all my fault.
KARL: No, no, no, you can't blame yourself. This type of injury is a risk that all boxers are aware of.
PAIGE: That doesn't change the fact I did this to her.
Ben and Xanthe are finally ready to pitch their trip to Queensland to Sheila and Susan.
BEN: You can trust us.
SHEILA: Oh, with your track record?
XANTHE: We've comiitted a few crimes, but we've moved on from that.
Susan says the relationship is very new and she doesn't know where they'll be in a few months. Xanthe assures her they'll be together. Susan says good, so there's no rush. She agrees that Ben can go, but not Xanthe.
Madison apologises to Aaron for bombarding him with texts. They talk about her singing, and Aaron advises her not to think about Logan, but to focus on her audition.
Angelina's trainer (Blake) tells Aaron to get his finances in order. Aaron says that liability insurance will cover medical fees, but Blake asks about loss of earnings, which Aaron says he didn't think he'd be liable for. Blake says it's not clear cut but he doesn't like Aaron's chances in court.
AARON: OK, so what would you suggest we do instead?
Karl tells Paige, Brad and Aaron that Angelina is in a coma, and that they found a tumour in her brain which may be inoperable.
No 26 - garden
Sheila and Xanthe arrive home to find that all Sheila's gnomes have disappeared. She's upset, and says that the police won't take her seriously.
XANTHE: They're just gnomes Gran.
SHEILA: Excuse me, they are not just gnomes - they are prized and treasured unique garden accessories.
XANTHE: I understand that you loved them but they were just painted pieces of concrete.
Xanthe admits that Susan upset her by saying that she didn't think her (Xanthe's) relationship with Ben would last. Sheila says she didn't think Xanthe would want to go to the Gold Coast, considering what happened with her mother. Xanthe insists that it's in the past.
Aaron tells Karl what Blake said, and Karl says it sounds like he's in a hurry for money. He reminds Aaron that nobody knew about the tumour, and if they had, Angelina wouldn't have been cleared to fight.
Brad asks Tyler if he's seen Paige, but he hasn't. Tyler is annoyed with himself for letting it get this far. Piper points out that she can take some blame too, but basically Paige chose to fight.
PIPER: No- one can make Paige do something she doesn't want to.
Nevertheless, Tyler says he feels he's failed Paige.
Paige leans on a tree and looks at her bruised knuckles.
Xanthe laments the waste of chocolate cake, and tells Ben she wished Susan liked her more. Ben says she does, but Xanthe insists that Susan hates them being together.
XANTHE: She basically said that we were gonna break up a few weeks.
BEN: O, that's just because she's a teacher. She expects trouble. It's part of the job description.
He explains that Susan has to second- guess what Libby wants, so it's hard for her and Karl, and he reminds Xanthe that Sheila was against the Gold Coast trip too. They hear a noise from outside: it's the gnome- napper. Ben wants to call the police, but Xanthe's not going to let them get away. She starts videoing on her phone and walks into the garden.
XANTHE: Got you now, you sneaky little creep.
The alleged gnome- napper turns around. It's Kyle.
- Sheila welcomes Kyle back
- Kyle is not pleased to see Gary
- Kyle tells Toadie that Gary always let him down
- Paul tells Madison not to worry about her no- good ex (whose photo we see)
- A woman tells Karl to make Paige leave the hospital
- Paige goes to see Jack
