- Gary passing on information to Terese.
- Alison/Ben pashing and Xanthe finding out.
Lassiters foyer
Ben rushes to catch Xanthe before she leaves the hotel to say he did try to contact her and she explains to him about being trapped by a snake. She's upset he went with Alison and declares there is no chance of them getting together. Ben tries to say things didn't progress further with Alison but she isn't listening.
Cue titles!
Terese's office
Turns out the document Gary handed over to Terese was the agenda for the Robinsons shareholders meeting which is going to be held this afternoon. She refuses to tell Madison where the info came from and between them, they work out how Terese can attend - Doug left his shares to Matilda (with Amber looking after them) so she is going to call Amber to be her proxy.
Blaze outreach
Amy comes by to chat with Jack and finds herself invited out for a beer and watching the swimming, which she agrees to even though she finds the concept of a priest going out drinking weird!
Lassiters hotel
Xanthe is still upset over Alison/Ben when she re-enters the hotel room to get her bag. Cooper is waiting (Alison brought him up to speed) and is full of sympathy for her, allowing her to unload to him. He wants them to work on their assignment, partially to take her mind off things and also because the film is important. Eventually she comes round to the idea and they begin working.
Robinsons motel
Just as Paul and Steph are about to begin the (informal) meeting, Terese enters and makes herself comfy, explaining she's here as Amber's proxy. Paul doesn't look too impressed that she's joined them.
Lassiters hotel
Xanthe is making a hash of her lines so eventually Cooper suggests they take a break. Once they stop, she explains to him why she's having difficulty - being in the same room as Alison/Ben is getting to her. Cooper thinks there is another reason too - Alison's script sucks and after ripping it up, suggests they improvise instead. Eventually she agrees and when Xanthe heads to the bathroom to touch her make-up up, Cooper hangs the 'do not disturb' sign on the outside door handle.
The Waterhole
Paige is on a high after having a successful time at a fight gym when she comes into the bar and tells Tyler/Aaron about it. Aaron offers to be her manager if she decides to take things further.
Robinsons motel
Paul isn't amused at not getting his own way at the meeting when he loses the vote on what shampoo they should purchase!
Blaze outreach
Ben comes looking for Tyler but finds himself unloading to Jack instead. He explains that he only went with Alison as he thought Xanthe had ditched him and now he thinks Xanthe hates him because he hooked up with Alison. "Bit of a mess," Jack comments to which Ben can only agree with! Ben asks for advice and is told to apologise but he's tried that and Xanthe wasn't having any of it, so is told to give her time to get her head round it. Jack adds that there is always hope and for Ben not to give up so easily.
"Another happy customer?" Amy greets Jack with after she passes Ben on her way on and he hopes so before they depart to go get a drink.
The Waterhole
Paige is thinking she'd like to do pro-boxing and both Aaron and Tyler suggests she goes for it, with Aaron again reiterating he'll be her manager.
Tyler is about to give Paige a farewell kiss (she's going for a run then home) but she pulls back on seeing Jack/Amy walk into the bar before seconds later giving him a kiss (to prove she isn't keeping things secret from Jack).
At the bar, Amy lets Jack talk her into doing tequila shots rather than the beer she was after.
Robinsons motel
Terese agrees with Paul that yes, she is feeling pleased with herself as she is about to leave. He doesn't believe that she is doing it for Matilda's benefit and asks what it's going to cost to get her out and is told that price is her chef back! Paul caves in and she comments that it "was almost too easy!" Before she leaves, Paul offers her some advice.
PAUL: Nobody is as smart as they think they are.
TERESE: (scoffing) Are you giving me advice or are you summing up your entire existence?!
PAUL: Ha, ha, ha. You think you've got me in a corner, well you're wrong!
TERESE: Am I?
PAUL: Yes well the games not over Terese, it's not over!
Lassiters hotel
Cooper/Xanthe's new stuff seems to be going well until he tries to kiss her! "Sorry, I was just going with the moment," Cooper tries to explain but she's had enough and wants to go home. Cooper blocks the door and tells her no, they are going to finish things to get it right and goes to start kissing her.
The Waterhole
Sheila interrupts Amy/Jack's to discuss contraception!
JACK: Well I don't have any on me right now; I don't think I have the need for that!
While Jack wants more beers before discussing it further, Amy remarks that she didn't think Sheila was religious and is told that while she might not go to church but was raised a catholic. "Is that allowed?" Sheila asks on seeing Jack finishing his beer and Jack replies back that he isn't on duty.
SHEILA: (pointing to the sky) The CEO is always watching.
JACK: And when the lighting strikes I'll know it's time to stop!
Sheila departs after Amy reassures her that she is keeping an eye on him and when she leaves, asks Jack if he's getting drunk to forget about Paige? He admits that he doesn't like how things have got weird between them before reassuring Amy he's not out to go on a bender.
Before Jack can go get more beers in, Aaron comes over to see if he'd consider hiring Blaze out for an event but once he finds out what it's for (to allow Paige to box) he doesn't think Brad will approve.
Number 26
Xanthe finds her dad in the garden and announces she's wanting out of her film group because it's not working for her. Gary isn't giving his permission, telling her she needs the marks so she's just got to suck it up but as he says that, he can see a change in Xanthe but she refuses to say anything. He accepts her not talking but is adamant she isn't dropping out without a good reason. Gary would have been as well to have saved his breath because she isn't listening and stomps off.
Harold's Store
Cooper asks the newly arrived Ben if he's seen Xanthe (he hasn't) and that she made a move on him that afternoon when she came to collect her bag, but reassures Ben he wouldn't take advantage.
Terese catches up with Gary to thank him for what he did, commenting that today wouldn't have happened without him. "No thanks necessary," Gary replies, he just wanted to make sure there was a fair fight. "It worked," she tells him and that she got her chef back. Terese then invites Gary to join her in sampling the chef's new menu, which he agrees to attend with her.
The Waterhole
Amy is forced to remind Sheila that Jack is just a friend (as well as being a decent guy) when she goes to the bar to get the next round in and is met with insinuations. Sheila does agree with her summation that he's having a hard time getting over Paige.
Tyler/Jack run into each other on the way to/from the bathroom and Jack makes his displeasure known at Tyler planning to train Paige to box. Jack warns him that Paige better not get hurt and Tyler agrees he doesn't want that either before pointing out to Jack that it's none of his business.
JACK: Yes it is and if something happens to her I'm coming after you!
Amy steps in quickly in to separate the boys and pulls Jack away after Tyler suggests they continue the conversation outside with Aaron taking Tyler aside too. Before Jack leaves, he wants one more tequila shot from the silent barmaid (ninja moment in how quickly Sheila left and silent barmaid replaced her!)
Lassiters Park (next day)
Jack wakes up after sleeping on the grass. Steph spots him and comments on it as she walks over towards him and notices when he lifts his hands that his hand is damaged (knuckles/fingers inflamed and cut) and asks what happened? "I don't know," he replies.
