Number 22
Brad arrives and demands that Piper takes down her vlog post from last night. Brad reads the post: 'Students are always being hassled about appropriate behaviour, then how come some teachers think it's okay to be as inappropriate as they like.' He tells her to take it down and get into her uniform. Piper refuses to go to school, the formal was a disaster and she's being shamed on social media. Brad says she is going and he and Terese have agreed that Piper is grounded.

PIPER: Did mum send you over here? So much for trust.
BRAD: Trust is something you earn, now go put on your uniform!

Piper gives in and heads upstairs.

Number 28
Karl and Susan thank Elly for their breakfast. Elly tells Karl she's thinking of taking her bike to school, Karl thinks that's a great idea, especially when his bike paths go through.

KARL: The anti-bike lobby are surprisingly active, ironically.

Elly can't believe Ben is Libby's son. Ben has seen pictures of Elly during her punk-grunge phase. Elly says she has been living in Sweden for a while, then came back to go to uni and has been living in Bondi for a couple of years. Elly says that Susan mentioned there was a job going at the High School and she thought it would be a good opportunity. They fill Elly in on Libby living in Shanghai. Ben and Elly all need to get ready for school. As they get ready, Karl sees the mess in the kitchen.

KARL: Who's going to clean up all this mess?
SUSAN: Since you're the only one with the late start I guess that would be you!

Number 26
Ben thinks Xanthe's dress looks good. She was up half the night de-staining it by watching YouTube tutorials, she could be a professional dry-cleaner. Sheila arrives and Xanthe says she's going to return the dress. Sheila doesn't think she'll be able to after it was ruined, but looks at the dress and thinks it looks almost brand new, the soda water must have worked. Sheila thinks Xanthe's acting oddly and questions her on what she's keeping secret. Xanthe admits that she and Ben kissed at the formal and now they're an item. Xanthe takes the dress and heads to school.

Number 30
Steph tells Charlie to get dressed, he doesn't want to be late for school. Sonya arrives joyfully and passionately kisses Toadie thanking him for last night. They plan to go out to dinner tonight. Toadie says he'll let Aaron know that he's heading away early. Mark asks how Aaron is getting on, Toadie's pleased that he's streamlined Toadie's schedule. Steph gets a text from Elly who is back in town. Sonya wonders if she was another of Toadie's ex-girlfriends, Steph says she went out with Tad actually.

Steph says she's catching up with Belinda today. Toadie knew that Paul had brought her back but didn't know he was planning on breaking up Steph and Mark. Toadie says Belinda didn't know Paul was fronting the legal fees, she thought it was Steph. Steph thinks she should hear Belinda out, unless Mark feels weird about it. Mark says he doesn't. Charlie arrives with a box of chocolates and Mark gives him some money for it. Charlie jokes about not having any change.

Harold's
Susan tells Elly about her teaching a remedial class for pupils that need extra help, she thinks Xanthe will respond very well to Elly. Elly sees Tyler and says last night was fun apart from the obvious. Elly says she wants her friends to know she isn't fibbing about him so poses for a selfie with Tyler. Brad and Piper arrive, Piper isn't happy to see Elly. Elly tells Piper she knows they got off to a bad start but she wants to put it behind them. Piper says okay and then turns her back on Elly. Elly calls after Tyler and thanks him for loaning her the jacket. She'll return the jacket once it is cleaned. Susan brings Elly her coffee and as they leave, Susan tells Elly she handled that very graciously. Piper tells Brad that Elly only did that for her benefit. Brad says she was only being polite and he expects that from her too, but he warns her to keep her distance from Tyler. Piper sulks.

Erinsborough High School
Piper wants to hide in her locker all day, which would be better than dealing with everyone's stupid comments. Ben doesn't want her to let them get to her, while Xanthe thinks it's only a matter of time before they find something or someone else to pick on. Xanthe thinks Madison is an excellent photographer and shows Piper the photo of Xanthe and Ben kissing. Piper sees Susan and Elly across the hall and starts venting about Elly hooking up with Tyler last night. Ben says they didn't hook up as Elly was at his place this morning.

XANTHE: Either way she's public enemy #1. We're not talking to her.
BEN: That might be a bit hard. We live in the same house.
XANTHE: We're team Piper.

Susan arrives and introduces Xanthe to Elly. Elly says she'll be looking for styling tips, as Xanthe's dress last night was killer. Xanthe beams with pride and thanks Elly. Susan and Elly leave, Elly tapping Piper's shoulder as she leaves.

XANTHE: I'm sorry, I had to be nice in front of Ms K. I will not talk to her at all during the study session. She's dead to us. Even if she's amazing and everyone loves her.
PIPER: Yeah well we'll see how long that lasts.

Harold's
Belinda runs into Paul and hands him the money he paid for her legal fees. She thinks it's best she cover it herself. Paul asks if getting Steph back is working. Belinda wishes he didn't put the idea in her head, as Steph seems happy with her boyfriend. Paul thinks Steph is making the best of a bad situation and Mark is just not in her league. He thinks Belinda and Steph had something special, maybe Steph is just waiting for Belinda to make the first move.

Erinsborough High School
Elly is describing the character of Cleopatra in Shakespeare's play as beautiful, strong and seductive, kind of like the Kim Kardashian of Ancient Egypt.

PIPER: Right, cos we can only understand Shakespeare by comparing it to reality television.

Elly asks the class to compare Octavia and Cleopatra. Xanthe says one is beautiful while one is plain. Piper thinks that people overvalue Cleopatra because she's attractive. She's beautiful but self-serving, but destroys he reputation by hooking up with the first guy she meets who is involved with someone else. Octavia might not have superficial good looks but is trustworthy, honest and loyal. As the bell rings, Elly gives out the classes homework. Piper gives a fake smile while Elly seems to stare angrily at Piper.

Lassiter's Complex
Toadie tells Belinda her application looks good, so now they just have to wait. Steph invites Belinda to lunch at her place. She tells Steph to meet at hers in an hour.

Erinsborough High School
In the corridors, Xanthe tells Ben that the control freak at the shop won't let Xanthe return the dress. Her sister goes to this school and saw the photo on Instagram so knows about the stain. Xanthe needs to think of something before her dad finds out. Ben thinks it's better if she tells him and offers to go with her. She kisses him.

Meanwhile in a classroom, Brad tells Piper off for being late to her detention. Piper is shocked to see Elly is supervising the detention. Elly tells Piper to put her book away and wants her to write a 1500 word essay on the Anthony & Cleopatra themes they discussed today.

ELLY: Any questions?
PIPER: Yeah just one. Did you sleep with Tyler?
ELLY: That's really none of your concern.
PIPER: We were almost together until you stepped in and ruined everything.
ELLY: Pretty sure you managed to do that on your own. He thought you behaved like a spoilt brat last night. Tyler's an adult, he wants to be with one. Get on with your work.

Number 26
Xanthe returns home with Ben. She tells Gary about her dress, that the shop wouldn't return it and it wasn't a knock off, it was the original dress. She lied where she got it and she borrowed the money from his cash jar.

GARY: I'm doing everything I can to give you the opportunity to do your best and this is how you thank me?
XANTHE: At least I owned up to it.
GARY: Have you got any idea what it takes to earn that kind of money? I can't believe that you would be so selfish, stupid.
BEN: Oy, she's trying to do the right thing here!
GARY: Really, well how about you do the right thing and chip in some of the money I gave you to take her to the form...

Xanthe is shocked.

(Later)
Xanthe asks Ben whether it is true. Ben says he wanted to take her to the formal, but he took the money because his grandparents were strapped for cash and wanted to go to a concert. Xanthe asks if her dad paid him extra to kiss her at the formal. Ben denies that, and says he really likes her but Xanthe doesn't believe him. She tells him to never talk to her again, they're over.

Number 30
Steph offers Sonya some food before she goes, but Sonya doesn't have time as she has to go to the anti-'bike lane' lobby meeting. Belinda arrives and passes Sonya on her way out. Belinda brings Steph wine and flowers. Steph thanks her, they're her favourite. Belinda knows.

Erinsborough High School
Piper can't believe that Tyler talked to Elly about her.

XANTHE: You know you can't trust people. Not even your own father. He says he thinks I'm gorgeous but clearly he doesn't really think that or else he wouldn't have pimped me out to Ben.

Piper says that Ben really wanted to take Xanthe to the formal, with or without the money. Xanthe is shocked to learn that Piper knew about it.

XANTHE: So you let me go on about how happy I was and how I thought it was so romantic? I feel like such an idiot.
PIPER: No not at all, I was the one who went to the formal solo.
XANTHE: Right, cos it's all about you.
PIPER: Woah, I was just saying...
XANTHE: Yeah, here we go, back to you and your opinions again! You know you haven't even apologised for ruining my dress. You know what, you're dumped as well!
PIPER: Xanthe you can't dump me.
XANTHE: Really, just watch me.

Xanthe walks away.

Power Road
Gary and Sheila are eating lunch outside Grease Monkeys. Sheila says Gary lost his temper and said the wrong thing, but she's been in his shoes and knows how it can happen. He'll make sure Xanthe pays the money back. Sheila says despite the way things panned out, he was trying to do the right thing. Gary sees Paul approaching and rushes over to speak to him. He asks Paul for some more money. Paul is happy to help, he knows Gary is trying to look out for his family and he respects that. Gary and Paul shake hands, while Tyler is across the street and sees them. Tyler then sees Piper walking, their eyes meet briefly before Piper keeps walking.

Number 30
Belinda tells Steph she's paid back every cent of Paul's money, she was horrified to learn he was the benefactor. She can't believe he's been fooled by that man twice now, she hasn't forgiven herself for the time she suggested Steph was a threat to Jimmy. Steph says she thought she was doing the right thing at the time. They talk about Mark, and think Paul must really have it in for him to go to such lengths to break them up. Steph says Paul and Mark have a long history, he doesn't like Mark so he finds problems in their relationship and makes mountains out of mole hills. Belinda asks if they have problems, Steph says they have ups and downs but what couple doesn't.

The Waterhole
Mark tells Tyler it's maybe for the best that he and Piper have fallen out. Tyler thinks it's rare to find someone you connect with, and Piper brought out the best in him. Mark tells Tyler to give it time. He goes to get another drink, meeting Sonya. Sonya tells him Belinda brought wine and flowers, but thinks it's perfectly innocent and there's nothing for Mark to worry about. Mark isn't worried about Steph but doesn't think anything Belinda does is innocent.

Number 30
Steph and Belinda reminisce about some of the people in the psych ward. They clear up dishes from their lunch, Steph says has been really easy hanging out with Belinda. Belinda agrees, then kisses Steph. Charlie walks in at that moment and is shocked to see them kissing.
