Ramsay Street
Tyler is giving Piper a driving lesson. He tells her that unlike last time he wants her to put the car into drive and slowly accelerate. She zooms down the street and he tells her to stop! Piper laughs. Tyler reminds her to go slowly and it's not a joke. She needs to be careful otherwise she'll get into trouble. Piper suggests that she might want to get into trouble! Tyler tells her he's being serious and she says she's taking this seriously. Tyler reminds Piper he's teaching her. She tells him to teach her and kisses him. Tyler suggests they take a break and go to see Terese. Piper declines this idea until Terese is in a better mood and they kiss again.

Ben and Xanthe are talking and walking up the path. Xanthe says Madison usually would be dead to her till she found out Madison didn't write the article. It's a relief to Xanthe. Ben tells her not to think about it. Xanthe and Ben are surprised to see Piper and Tyler kissing in the car.

Robinson's Motel
Paul is asleep at his desk having a nightmare of being in prison. Gary comes in and wakes him by tapping him on the shoulder. Paul takes a minute to wake up and Gary asks if he's having nightmares and how often. Paul says they're often enough so he's avoiding sleeping. Gary says that Paul can't do that forever as he's tried it. Paul doesn't know what's worse, being scared of being around people or being alone. Gary says Paul had his back to the wall for a while and the quacks call it PTSD, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Gary calls it the second sentence. It can go on longer than the sentence itself. Paul points out he's done time before and it wasn't this bad. This has got him acting out. Gary says it's worse after shorter stints and being wrongly convicted adds to it. Paul has got someone who knows what he's going through. Paul didn't expect sympathy from Gary. Gary's had worse said about him and Sheila will get over it. Gary says it was pretty rough sticking Madison's name to what Paul did was pretty rough.

The Waterhole (Outside)
Amy and Madison are sitting at a table. Madison says obviously Paul did it for revenge but wonders why Paul involved her. Amy says that is typical of Paul. Madison suggests Daniel choosing to distance himself was the right thing to do. Amy says that Paul's complicated and self absorbed. Madison has just learnt the hard way. Madison has no choice but to stay at the motel as she has nowhere else to go. Madison sees Terese and starts to apologise. Terese knows Madison isn't responsible so tells her not to apologise.

TERESE: It may have been your by-line but this has Paul Robinson written all over it.

Madison promises she had no idea he was going to do it and Terese knows that. It's tomorrow's kitty litter and Madison needs to distance herself from Paul. Madison would if she had anywhere else to go. She can't go home and she doesn't want to lose her job. Amy points out all the beds are taken at No.26 but Madison could crash on the couch. Madison doesn't think the Cannings would love that after she trash talked them! Terese says she has a room at her place and Madison checks Terese wants Madison to move into No.22. Terese is happy to do it and Madison's practically family. It's up to Madison and the offer's there.

Toadie runs out of the law office looking at his watch. Sonya runs out of Harold's Café and asks where he's going. Toadie's going to pick up Nell. Sonya is doing that and checks if she said it before she left. Toadie says Sonya didn't otherwise he wouldn't be going to pick up Nell now. Sonya suggests he didn't listen so suggests they go and get Nell. She looks pensive at Toadie's attitude.

No.22
Piper is talking on her phone to Terese. Piper is fine with the idea, she likes Madison especially as she now knows Madison wasn't responsible for the article. Just as Piper rings off Xanthe arrives and wants Piper to explain. Xanthe just saw Piper tongue wrestling Tyler in Hermione an hour ago. Xanthe's mad at Piper as she denied it being Tyler when Xanthe asked her. Piper points out she didn't correct her when Xanthe said it couldn't be Tyler as Brad and Terese would lose it! Xanthe hates Piper for being such a good liar and actor. Piper needs her Oscar as well as Leo. Xanthe wants all the deets and she'll be fine. Piper says there are no deets. Xanthe wants to know if this is due to the fact Piper hates her. Piper says that's not the case and she's playing it safe. Piper got her heart trashed the last time she fell for someone. Xanthe points out Chas is a D-Lister compared to Tyler, Tyler's a good sort. Piper agrees and Xanthe wants to know if this is a one off or is this like Miley and Liam. Piper says it's happening full on. Xanthe says something in Japanese and admits she is taking a class in it. She can't believe Brad and Terese said yes to it and then realises they don't know. Piper says she will convince them one day. For now she's going to enjoy every second with Tyler. Xanthe wants to know if Tyler is a good kisser.

No.24
Ben arrives and refers to Tyler as Romeo. Tyler realises he saw them kissing and wants to say something about it. Ben knows they're heading for heaps of trouble. Tyler reminds Ben Piper is his friend. Ben isn't talking about Piper, he's talking about when they get busted by Brad and Terese. Tyler casually tells Ben that Brad's on board and they'll talk to Terese, a gradual reveal.

BEN: It didn't look very gradual to me!

Tyler is waiting for the right time to talk to Terese, he doesn't want to lose this. Tyler wants Ben's opinion on a graphic novel he wants to buy Piper. Ben says Piper will love it, Tyler knows that. Tyler just wanted to check as Ben is Piper's friend. Ben knows it's probably not his business but wonders if Tyler has thought of dating someone his own age.

TYLER: It's not ideal but when we're together it's like nothing else matters.

Tyler checks if Ben's into Piper. Ben reassures Tyler Piper's a mate. Ben thinks sneaking around could wreck things, secrets are nothing but trouble.

No.30
Toadie, Nell and Sonya arrive home. Sonya suggests making pumpkin soup tonight and freezing a lot of it. Toadie agrees and he'll add the ingredients to the weekly shop. Sonya checks if he wants to know what's in it. Toadie points out pumpkin soup is Sonya's thing. Toadie and Sonya notice Mark and Steph's things in the front room. They hear Mark's voice from the bedroom. Steph comes out in a dressing gown and calls out Toadie and Sonya are back. Steph apologises, they didn't hear them. Steph grabs her things and offers to go to Mark's. Sonya awkwardly says they don't but Steph insists they do as they've had a big day. Nell asks Steph why she has a dressing gown on! Steph says they'll get going and apologises. Sonya and Toadie look at each other in silence.

Robinson's Motel (Outside)
Madison comes outside with her things and Paul asks what's going on. Madison announces she's moving out. Madison's grateful for Paul getting her foot in the door at the paper but she didn't expect to pay at such a high price. Paul says it's a tough industry. Madison knows that and is trying to establish a reputation. If she associates with him it won't be a good reputation. Madison heads to the car and Paul calls out it was one article. Madison is sorry but nobody will take her seriously if she stays here. Paul wants to know where she's going and Terese announces it's No.22. Paul says he's so sorry. Terese confirms Madison has everything. Paul says he told Madison why he did it but she doesn't get it. Paul walks away and Madison realises Paul isn't even slightly sorry.

No.22
Piper is sitting in the garden reading a magazine. When Madison and Terese arrive Piper enthusiastically greets Madison telling her it'll be so good to have another sister here. Madison thanks them for letting her stay and Terese says it's a pleasure. Piper has made up Madison's room. They all laugh when Piper tells them the Wi-Fi password is 'prettyflyforawifi'. It was Brad's idea and he thought it was funny. Madison is going to video call her parents. Piper says Madison's room is upstairs and second door on the left.

Madison heads off as Piper suggests to Terese they compare calendars for dress shopping for the formal. Terese asks whom Piper is taking. Piper says she doesn't know who she's taking (!) but would like a mother daughter day in ages. Terese comments if Piper wants her to forget she played her parents off each other it's not working. They both agreed for obvious reasons Piper can't see Tyler. Piper realises Terese isn't going to give Tyler a chance! Terese will give Tyler a chance to show if he has respect for Piper. It will prove Tyler doesn't if he goes against Terese's wishes. Piper points out she and Tyler have been towing the line for the last six months due to what everyone thinks. If that isn't respect Piper doesn't know what is. Terese says Tyler towed the line as he was dating a schoolgirl which Tyler knows is inappropriate. Piper points out she's nearly 17 and can do what she wants. Piper is able to get married and asks for the name of the judge that married Imogen and Daniel. Terese tells Piper she's being ridiculous. Piper needs to follow their wishes if she wants their blessings. Piper wants to know why they can't be cool about this. Terese says it's not her job to be cool about it. Her job is to guide Piper. No matter how grown-up Piper thinks she is, she still needs a lot of guidance. Terese wants to drop it and she doesn't know why they're talking about it again.

Ramsay Street
Gary is putting pegs on the tree as Amy drives up. Amy asks what he's hanging up today and Gary asks how long she's got! He says there's always room for more and hands Amy a peg. Amy suggests she hangs Paul up there and Gary agrees Paul is doing it tough. Amy asks if Paul paid Gary to say that! Gary knows what Paul's going through, fresh out of jail. It's a hard thing. Amy points out Paul's the reason Gary was in there. Gary agrees but they've put their beefs behind them. Amy realises Gary has forgiven Paul because Paul just grudges. Grown-ups rebuild themselves and get help. Gary points out that jail strips someone of being a grown-up and takes all the goodwill and everything else till there's nothing. Amy should give Paul time as it's not easy coming out of jail. Amy should talk to Paul. Amy doesn't know if she can. Gary says Amy might have to if she wants things to get better.

No.30
Sonya says this isn't a bachelor wreck pad, it's a family home. Toadie wants to know if it's the 1950s! Toadie points out Mark is Steph's boyfriend and she lives here. Sonya wants them to have more self control as the living room is common ground. Toadie has forgotten what it feels like! Sonya asks him to repeat himself and he refuses. It got a little steamy but there's no harm done as they missed the main event. Sonya says Nell could have been traumatised if they'd been here five minutes earlier. Toadie is sure Nell will be fine. Sonya doesn't think Nell should be exposed to that. Toadie says wryly all the adult affection might give Nell the wrong idea about adult relationships. It's much better to see them constantly bickering! Sonya wants to know if he's serious! Sonya gets a text from Walter. They've just extracted Callum's bone marrow and it went well. Toadie hopes it works out for Zoe as she deserves to live out her life. Sonya agrees and after an awkward pause says she's going for a walk.

Harold's Café
Xanthe finishes serving Steph as Sonya arrives. Steph apologises about before but Sonya tells her not to worry. Sonya comments it must be a drag living with married people who talk about domestic stuff. Steph says it's fine and is here if Sonya wants to talk.

STEPH: My mother is Lyn Scully. I'm a classically trained listener.

Sonya says she and Toadie are having a few issues. Toadie's upset about what happened with Nell and Steph knows things are tense. Sonya understands why Toadie's angry. Toadie is freezing Sonya out instead of dealing with it. She doesn't know what she can do other than say sorry. She can't change what happened. Sonya's so busy she doesn't have the energy to deal with these cold war tactics. Steph wants to know if Sonya needs advice or is venting, Steph can do both. Sonya would like some advice please. When Steph and Mark have a communication breakdown, they get physical. Sonya starts laughing and points out Steph and Mark are still in the honeymoon phase. It's different when they're married for a few years. Steph points out it can't hurt! They can then talk about stuff when they're more relaxed. Sonya points out they'd need to organise a babysitter. Steph says that Charlie and Jimmy are having a sleepover tonight. Mark and Steph can have Nell, bathe, feed and play with her. Sonya tries protesting but Steph says they need to reconnect. She asks Sonya to let her do this for her so Sonya contemplates it.

No.22
Madison is sitting at a table and Terese comes over. Madison shuts her laptop and says she's going to get some work done at Harold's. Terese says she's going back to work so Madison will have peace and quiet. Madison actually likes the human buzz and it helps her to concentrate. Terese agrees she's the same. Terese hands over Madison's key. Madison thanks Terese but Terese actually wants to thank her. It's been tense around here with Terese and Piper butting heads. Terese doesn't want Madison to be a human buffer, Terese is just looking forward to a change of dynamics. Madison is happy to pay her rent and buffer! Terese tells Madison not to worry as she's family. Terese is happy to accept money if it makes Madison more comfortable. Madison wishes she had offered the same deal to Paul. Terese wonders whom Paul needs buffering from. Madison says it's from the world and everyone in it, including Paul. Terese says that Paul was acting out of anger and injustice, it makes people do stupid things. Madison says Terese is very understanding of Paul. Terese admits she and Paul were very close once. Terese leaves.

Robinson's Motel
Amy says that Paul can't help himself. Paul says it worked out as he got his revenge. Amy says he used Madison. Paul admits he never intended for Madison to take the bulk of the fallout. Amy says Madison did and Paul asks what he was meant to do. Paul states that you don't get what you want by lying down and dying. Amy points out nobody has asked Paul to do that. If Paul needs help getting back up after being knocked down he should ask for it. Anything could happen! Paul points out he would be left in someone's debt. Amy agrees what happened in prison must be soul destroying but he needs to find a way to let it go. Paul reminds Amy it was hell in there. Paul knows he's no angel but he didn't deserve that. People ignored the fact he was innocent and deliberately put him in there, they deserve to pay. Amy understands how upset Paul is but the solution isn't lashing out. Paul isn't lashing out at everyone, only the ones who didn't support him. Amy wishes Paul would see the world in a different way, not for and against him. Paul asks which Amy is.

No.30
Sonya comments it's really nice of Steph and Mark to look after Nell. Nell loves going over there, Mark loves exercising his parenting muscles, Steph loves watching Mark, everybody wins. Sonya suggests a takeaway and make it a real night off, Toadie agrees. Sonya starts hinting about what they can do while they're waiting for the food. Toadie reminds Sonya he's looked after Nell every night whilst she's worked late this week. Toadie is now massively behind. Sonya offers to take Nell on the weekend and he can catch up then. Toadie agrees but he still needs tonight. Sonya understands that work is important but so is their relationship. Toadie points out it's not when Sonya prioritises council meetings. Toadie goes back to his work.

Lassiter's Lake
It's dark now. Tyler and Piper are making out in Hermione. Tyler wants to know what Terese said about the driving lesson tonight. Piper explains Terese thinks Piper is after a study session with Xanthe after dinner. Tyler worries what will happen if Terese goes for a walk and sees them. Piper will talk to Terese about the importance of getting her hours of driving. Tyler points out they're not doing that and Piper asks who is to blame for that! Tyler says it doesn't feel right, all this sneaking around. Piper thinks it's fun so Tyler reminds her this is serious. Tyler doesn't want them to get off on the wrong foot. Piper asks if he wants to be with her or not. Tyler agrees of course he wants to be with her. Piper is glad as she wants to be with him a lot. The formal will be in a couple of weeks and Piper wants it to be in the open by then. Piper promises the wait will be worth Tyler's while. She asks Tyler to relax and trust her, he agrees.

No.30
Steph says that Nell is so cute, she fell asleep mid sentence telling her the difference between wizards and fairies. Wizards are bigger and don't have wings. Sonya comments they wore Nell out and she had a lot of fun. Sonya thanks Steph and Steph says it was her pleasure. She hopes fun was had here then her work is done! Toadie asks what Steph means. Steph says she knew they needed time to themselves. Steph and Sonya were talking earlier. Toadie says that Sonya has blabbed their problems to anyone who is listening. Sonya says it was just Steph and Mark, Toadie agrees it was them two. Sonya says she didn't say it to Mark but Steph has mentioned it to him. Steph points out they're all friends. Toadie says it's private. Sonya says it's impossible to win, first Toadie wants Sonya and Steph to be close, now he complains about them being close. Toadie points out he wouldn't usually talk about this stuff with Steph but Steph says he would talk about this stuff. Sonya wants things to be the way they were. Toadie wryly asks if that was before she nominated Nell for major surgery! Sonya agrees they shouldn't be bickering, they should be over each other like a rash like Steph and Mark. Steph denies they're all over each other. Sonya says they go on about it like they are and Steph denies this. Steph was just trying to get things back to normal. Toadie isn't pleased he's now not normal! Everyone is now fed up. Steph says it has nothing to do with her so she's going to bed. Toadie is as well on the couch. Sonya is happy with this idea!
