No 30
Mark is investigating the theft, and Sonya says she thinks that Liam (aka "probably guilty because he is a guest") was with Amy the whole time. Toadie points out that the cleaner is also a guest suspect, because they had fired her, and they hadn't even bothered to check she was actually from the Home Assistance programme.
Waterhole
Jimmy is telling Amy a story he made up (thereby laying the foundation for his future exit to the School For The Gifted ™ ). Liam arrives and wants to join them. Amy's not sure, because of what happened the previous night.
JIMMY: What happened last night?
LIAM: Your mum and I had a ... talk about some stuff.
JIMMY: What stuff?
AMY: Adult stuff.
Amy says it was confusing, and Liam says you can work with "confusing", given time. Amy says that would be good.
Harold's
Lauren and Paige are discussing the renovations. The sign on the window says "harold's Café" with no capital letters. We should be grateful it has an apostrophe, I suppose. Brad comes in and says it looks awesome. Hmm. Yeah, whatever. He tells Lauren that he's having second thoughts about moving in.
LAUREN: Now that Terese is back across the road.
PAIGE: I know it's awkward, but you can't keep changing your plans because of her.
BRAD: I can't just keep discarding her feelings either.
Lauren says she understands why he's changed his mind. After he's gone, Paige snaps at her, saying it sounds like she doesn't want him to move in. Lauren says she's trying to be sensitive. Paige is annoyed, and Lauren tells her to leave it.
Meanwhile, Mark is questioning Kyle about the money. Reluctantly, Kyle tells him about Liam's call.
Waterhole
Mark is questioning Liam and Amy, while Naomi takes Jimmy for a drink. Liam says that whoever told Mark about the call was wrong, and he knows nothing.
No 22
Brad comes over and Terese asks if he's moving in to No 32.
TERESE: I think it'll be great to have you so close. We can all wave to each other every morning.
A friendly wave helps to make a better day, eh Terese?
TERESE: By the way, has she found a place to hang that sketch of yours? I've got the perfect place: in place of Matt. Out with the old: in with the new.
BRAD: You know what? I don't have to justify myself to you.
He tells Imogen that he's decided not to change his mind.
Waterhole
Amy asks Liam if he took the cash. He denies it, but explains he was nervous because he wants her back. He knows how much he hurt her, and he wants to show her he's worth another chance. He says that Kyle also wants a chance, and that's why he's stirring the pot. Amy says he's wrong.
No 22
Brad wants to know if his children have any questions. Josh asks if this is the first step to him and Lauren getting together.
BRAD: We have feelings for each other, yes. But we know how much you're hurting. So we're putting things off for now.
He tells them that he loves them, and that he's looking for somewhere else to live, but for the moment he's going to be living across the street. Imogen suggests making a pact that they don't visit No 32 while he's there. They agree, Piper reluctantly.
No 30
Naomi brings some money round, saying she wants to do what she can to help. Sonya says she's going to have to go to the nursery. Toadie says she mustn't, as she needs time to recover. Sonya points out that they have bills to pay, and he says they have Naomi's money and he can take on some small cases. In a few days, they might be able to rehire some casuals at the nursery.
SONYA: Yes, yes.
TOADIE: What are you doing?
SONYA: I'm looking for flying pigs.
Harold's
Amy confronts Kyle over what he told Mark. Kyle says he wants to keep out of it, but says he's concerned about her and Jimmy.
KYLE: I don't want Jimmy being hurt by his deadbeat dad, like I was.
AMY: And that's all this is?
KYLE: What more could there be?
AMY: I guess I want to know if Liam's right.
KYLE: Right about what?
AMY: He thinks you're trying to stir things up to make something happen between us.
KYLE: My wife just left me. I'm not trying to make anything happen with anybody.
Ramsay Street
Outside No 22, the three Willis children watch Brad come out of the house. Piper invites him to join them for chips and Imogen begs him not to go. Terese walks down the drive behind them. Across the road, Lauren, Paige and Amber walk up their drive. Brad crosses the road. Lauren smiles while Amber looks concerned.
No 30
Amy tells Sonya that she kissed Liam, and there's still something between them. She says that Liam loves Jimmy very much. Sonya says Amy has to ask herself if that's enough, and that in the long term she has to think about what's best for her, so she has to talk to Kyle.
Waterhole
Kyle tells Liam that telling Amy he (Kyle) had feelings for her was clever. Liam says it's true, and she's worth fighting for. He adds that Amy and Jimmy are the best thing that happened to him, so that's why he wants to them to be a family. Kyle asks scathingly if he thinks he deserves it. Liam tells him to back off, but Kyle says they deserve better.
KYLE: I'm just looking out for your family, because you sure as hell haven't been.
Liam says that he and Amy kissed, and they deserve a chance at being a family... and it's up to Kyle if they get that chance.
No 32
Lauren, Amber and Paige are cooking. Brad wanders in and looks at the picture of Matt. Paige and Lauren leave the room, and Brad tells Amber he appreciates her being open to this.
AMBER: I'm open to whatever makes Mum and Paige happy.
Rotunda
Terese, Josh and Imogen are eating chips. Terese finds a dry-cleaning receipt of Brad's, which Imogen offers to take. She asks Terese if Brad had grovelled, whether she would have given him a second chance. Terese says it hardly matters.
Harold's
Amy and Kyle apologise to each other. Kyle says that although he still cares, he'll back off so that they have a chance to put the family back together. She asks whether he thinks Liam is a conman, and he says that maybe he misunderstood the phone call.
Waterhole
Liam is on the phone, asking someone to give him the money back, since the cops are involved. Amy arrives and asks him about it, and he says it's to do with the business. He says he would like to take Jimmy go-carting, and she says they'll do it together. He's pleased.
No 32 - outside
Brad and Lauren are sitting by the pool. Lauren says they've been a bit naive having him move in, and he promises to find a place sooner rather than later. Imogen arrives with the dry-cleaning. Piper comes out of the house with drinks.
IMOGEN: What are you doing here?
PIPER: What are *you* doing here?
IMOGEN: Trying to spare Mum the pain of seeing this. So much for family loyalty.
Imogen throws the dry-cleaning - not so dry now - into the pool, and leaves. Piper goes after her. Brad sighs.
