Number 32 backyard
While Mark and his silent colleagues examine the punch bag, Paige tells her parents that she thinks its Jayden after their run-in earlier and tells them about his thread. Mark comes over to explain how the person got into the backyard, Brad tells him Paige thinks it was Jayden and while Mark confirms he's on the list, so is Joey Dimato. Paige however still thinks its Jayden, as the level of vandalism is more him. Mark leaves to go have a word with him however with the limited evidence, there isn't much else he can do.

Number 30
Sonya wants to veto going into see the 30th anniversary of Back to the Future with Toadie because of Nell's behaviour. Amy volunteers to babysit (since they don't want to risk her going back to Judith's) but they'd rather start sorting Nell out tonight.

Kyle drops by to give Amy her pay slip and she thanks him for standing up for Jimmy in the recent battle with Sheila (who is now off to Frankston for a few days with Naomi). As a thank you, she volunteers to go help him tidy up the yard without looking for payment.

Number 32
Mark reports to Paige and her parents that Jayden has a solid alibi so has been ruled out. While Brad shows him out, Paige comments to her mum about her perception that Mark doesn't seem to care she's in danger but Lauren puts his behaviour down to him simply being professional. "Unless he's too angry to take this seriously?!" Paige remarks and the newly arrived back Brad sides with Paige that Mark should be doing more.

Fed up waiting for a call from her husband, Terese arrives for an update, which Brad gives her. With Joey being the #1 suspect, Brad declares that they aren't letting Paige out of their sight until they know more. "Your safety is not a hassle," Lauren reassures her daughter with after she thought their plan would cause hassle and Terese can't do anything but give her blessing to Brad spending the day at #32 when he asks her.

BRAD: We're your parents and we're taking care of you, no arguments.

Harold's Store
Imogen runs into Daniel in the store and after he tells her he was going duck watching at the lake (and feeding but the store has no scraps) she suggests they go somewhere better and literally drags him out of the store.

Lassiters Complex
Imogen's plan is to take Daniel to the bird sanctuary and as they walk through the grounds, they discuss the fact that they both regularly visit the sanctuary but at different times. "I love how after all this time as friends, we can still take each other by surprise," Daniel comments before they get into Hermione.

Dial-A-Kyle
Amy compliments Kyle on how good he is with Jimmy as they tidy up the yard and asks if he/Georgia wants kids one day. "That's complicated," he replies then tells her about the miscarriage (and how it was rough on them both, Georgia in particular, afterwards) and then about their baby bucket list. "I wish I did that," Amy comments and reassures Kyle that being a dad will happen one day.

Ramsay Street
Sonya spots Mark in the street and goes to talk to him about what happened at #32. Mark admits to Sonya that he's worried about Paige but isn't sure, because his head is all over the place, whether that is professionally or personally and admits that he's second guessing everything she is telling him. Sonya gets his dilemma and suggests to him that underneath his confusion, his feelings for Paige haven't changed.

SONYA: The thing is you tend to see things in a very black especially when it comes to people telling the truth, it's part of who you are.
MARK: Yes, it's also my job.
SONYA: Exactly, and that's what makes you a good cop because you can draw that very clear line in your head but relationships aren't that straightforward, you know that.
MARK: So what are you saying, that I should just get over it and forgive her?
SONYA: What I'm saying is that if Paige still means a lot to you, and you want to make things work, then just talk to her and work things out together.

Bird sanctuary
"How is it that we can be talking about the same animal yet have an entirely different perspective of it," Imogen comments after they have a discussion about tortoises as they make their way to the viewing area. "Sometimes I wonder if you and I even the same species," Daniel retorts and they both start laughing.

Dial-A-Kyle
As they make their way back from Grease Monkey's, Amy admits that she is probably too strict on Jimmy because he needs structure and boundaries, something that he wasn't getting that from his dad. She tells Kyle about what sort of a dad Liam was and that its now mainly phone contact between them.

KYLE: Sounds like a no-hoper.
AMY: Yes, understatement of the year!

Amy confirms that Jimmy doesn't know how bad his dad is and Kyle thinks she's doing a good job putting him first unlike Sharon who kept putting the boot into Gary when he shot through. "Even when I started thinking he was dead, she never put me straight," he laments adding that it was "pretty selfish." Amy replies that she can see why Sharon thought she was right doing what she did and adds that [everyone] has to do the best of the situation they land in because "there's nothing else we can do."

Number 30
Sonya is getting nowhere online trying to get to the bottom of Nell's problems but after a comment from Toadie, and another quick check online, wonders if it's to do with the lack of attention since the bad behaviour only started after Jimmy and Amy moved in. "Great Scott you're right, it's all about attention," Toadie declares and now Sonya is after a solution since they've identified the problem.

Bird sanctuary
"I don't know what to do next," Daniel admits to Imogen after explain to her that his problem is how to look forward, not back, after she commented that he looked down when she run into him at Harold's earlier. "Just don't overthink it," is her advice and he thinks that's rich coming from "the queen of overthinking!"

IMOGEN: That's me not you, you don't need a daily schedule or a 5 year plan, you just feel your way through it. Sooner or later, when you're ready, the right thing will present itself to you.
DANIEL: You really think so?
IMOGEN: Yes I do. When the time comes, you'll follow your heart and you'll know exactly what to do.

Harold's Store
Mark runs into Paige and Lauren in the store to tell them that his Sergeant has approved some extra surveillance for Ramsay Street although it won't be round the clock. Lauren thanks him for what he's done before the pair of them leave the store.

Kyle returns with coffees for himself and Amy, and she tells him about talking to the editor and asked that Kyle be part of the photoshoot later that afternoon. It dawns on him that his nudie-run was pointless! "Aww please, you loved it," she teases him.

Number 30
Toadie and Sonya are going OTT with the praise for Nell and how much they love each other while looking at a drawing of their family (she's not drawn it as its too good!) They reassure her that she'll always be their #1 girl and they wonder if they're getting through to her although it seems she's more interested in drawing than what it is they are saying to her! "We just need to keep reinforcing how much we love and value her," Sonya says to Toadie.

Ramsay Street
However from the noise we hear on the street as Paige checks the mailbox, it appears Nell is still biting her dad!

Paige goes over to hear what her dad/Mark are saying about the patrols - there will be a police presence that afternoon but only 2 patrols overnight, so Brad orders her to call immediately if she's spooked.

"So did you randomly get assigned to this job or did you ask for it?" Paige asks Mark after her dad heads inside. Mark confirms he asked for it since he knows the area better than anyone else. "So it's just a job then?" she asks and Mark nods his head.

PAIGE: You know what, I get that you're mad at me, I deserve it, but I know that you care about me... a lot, just as much as I care about you. But all I have wanted is a chance to apologise properly. There's so many things that I need to explain but I can't do that unless you let me in.
MARK: Yes well I wish it were that simple.

Mark decides that's the end of the conversation as he's got work to do and she should be indoors for her safety.

Number 22
Brad isn't too chuffed at the number of overnight patrols planned and Terese comments that Paige can't expect him to be her white knight all the time.

BRAD: Of course she can, I'm her dad.
TERESE: Well she's gotten along fine without you for most of her life.

Brad is quick to get in that it wasn't by choice and Terese points out he doesn't need to go overboard now making up for it. He's not impressed by that 'overboard' comment especially as she could be in danger, so Terese asks if he will stay the night (at #32) if she freaks out in the middle of the night? Brad concedes he'd not actually thought about it but probably would spend the night and Terese thinks if that happened, Paige would love having her parent's right where she wants them. "What does that mean?" a confused Brad asks his wife but replies that she thinks Paige is overdoing the whole "damsel in distress" routine.

BRAD: No, what do you mean me and Lauren?

This time she tells Brad about the text she saw on Paige's phone, although denies that she was snooping, and to compound the evidence, shows him the photo that fell out of her bag with Terese 'cut' out of it.

TERESE: She's trying to re-unite her parents Brad. She's trying to get you back together.
BRAD: That is absurd alright, you're just being paranoid.
TERESE: Am I?! Am I or are you just being naive?
BRAD: ...
TERESE: Think about it. Look at her behaviour, even now she's playing up her fear just to push her agenda. She's always manipulated all of us, and she still is, it's about time you go and confront her about this.

Bird sanctuary
The duo reminisce about Baby Oliver in the aftermath of the tornado and their roles in rescuing him as they make their way out of the sanctuary. After they've dished out the compliments to one another, Daniel leans in and kisses Imogen!
