Matt is on the phone applying for a job. Lauren suggests a "celebration", but Matt says he has to go to a meeting at work.

Paige suggests they should throw a party to celebrate. Amber and Imogen are going to uni, and need to practise, especially Amber, who can't let her hair down. Amber disagrees, and Imogen says that Paige is trying to corrupt them.
Waterhole
Brad is working on his school preparation (the pub is the obvious place), and Josh asks him how it's going. He's confident that he's doing a good job. Josh says he's exhausted after his community service, but gets over it when he gets an invite to the party.

The girls have put tacky blow-up trees around the pool, and Paige has some Smiths crisps. Imogen has Willis crisps and Amber has Turner crisps. No, actually I made that bit up. Daniel arrives, to Paige's surprise, and there's an awkward silence. She sends him out to get some ice. Turns out that Imogen invited him. Paige says that she invited Josh. Amber is not thrilled, but Paige points out he's family. Amber and Imogen sigh.
PAIGE: I am biologically incapable of throwing a bad party, OK? You guys are my siblings and you're going to have an awesome time. Trust me.
School
Brad gives Susan his completed programme. She doesn't seem very impressed at how short it is and says they'll discuss it later.
Waterhole
Mark tells Matt that he's heard he's looking for another job. Matt asks him not to say anything to anybody else, which he agrees to.
No 32 garden
Josh arrives and goes over to talk to Amber. He says he thinks there's more to the old photo than Paul said. He suggests talking to Susan, since she used to be the editor of the Erinsborough News. Amber promises to do so.
Mark and Naomi are flirting (while he apologises about Dimato) and Paige watches them, obviously jealous.
School
Brad asks Susan what she thought of his programme, and she says it wasn't very good. She says they'll talk about it later. He wonders if there's any point as she seems to have made up her mind already.

Daniel arrives back. Paige explains that Imogen hadn't told them he was coming. He asks if he's not welcome. She says he is, but tells him Josh is here and asks him not to make a scene. Josh and Amber are deep in conversation. Imogen walks up to Daniel and assures him that there's nothing going on. Daniel says cynically it must be true. Imogen tells him to enjoy himself.
DANIEL: Why did you invite here in the first place?
IMOGEN: Because I just want you two to get along.
DANIEL: No, no, because if you think you can force it, you're wrong. Just stay out of it.
IMOGEN: I'm sorry.
Daniel leaves.
Mark is cleaning up in the kitchen. Naomi comes in. They chat a bit, then he tells her he came to the party to see her because he was worried about Dimato. Paige comes in and sends him out with some drinks. She asks Naomi what's going on between them, and Naomi says they're mates.
PAIGE: I didn't want to get involved.
NAOMI: Then don't get involved.
PAIGE: I thought I should just warn you that this is what Brennan does. OK? He gets close to you, you become good mates, and then you cross that line into something else. Problem is, he gets all guilt-ridden because he's still not over Kate. Then he backs right off.
She finishes by telling Naomi not to waste her time if she wants anything serious.
Waterhole
Imogen asks Brad why guys don't like her - what's wrong with her. He says there's nothing wrong with her.
BRAD: What happened to my strong, independent girl who didn't need a boyfriend?
She tells him that there's one guy and she can't even mange to be friends with. Brad says he's an idiot. He tells her to grab a table and they'll sit down. He sends a text...
School
...to Susan, asking to delay their meeting.
No 26
Naomi finds out that the printing company doing something for the festival has made a spelling mistake. She is a bit down about it. Mark tries to encourage her, even though it comes out wrong.
NAOMI: Hey, is this just sport to you, or are you flirting with intent?
MARK: Whoa! I like how you're so direct.
NAOMI: I don't like how you're trying to dodge the question!
He says he is flirting, but he's not ready for a relationship. She asks if he's interested in something physical, no-strings. He says he's not opposed to the idea.
Waterhole
Paige catches up with Imogen, telling her it's not a good look to bail on your own party.
IMOGEN: It's my party and I'll bail if I want to.
She tells Paige that she needs to be less focussed on what people think of her - more like Paige, in fact.
IMOGEN: I shouldn't have to lock myself away in a convent. I should be able to live a little.
PAIGE: You want me to be a bad influence on you?
IMOGEN: Yeah, maybe. In a PG way. Maybe M.
PAIGE: That is... so sweet. Come here, my little disciple.
They hug.
School
Brad apologises for being late and Susan snippily says there is always something.
BRAD: You're still blaming me for Karl's accident.
SUSAN: No, that's completely irrelevant her. Although if you'd spent the break focussed on your work programme instead of making surfboards, then yes, Karl and I would both be better off, and you and I wouldn't have to have this discussion.
She tells him if he was dedicated to his job, he would have spent more than two days preparing the programme. He reminds her that he gave up the holiday in Canada. She asks him if he's as passionate about his role as an educator as he is about making surfboards. She tells him to think about whether he really wants the job.
SUSAN: The students deserve nothing less than your full commitment.

It's night time, and Josh and Amber are clearing up. She comments that the party was just what she needed. She says that everything will change when she starts Uni, and he's changed too. He asks if it's a good thing, and she says yes. He leans in and kisses her.
