The Waterhole
Sheila is still getting her pound of flesh from Kyle/Georgia as payback for the email they sent her by getting them to fetch boxes of stock for the bar... and informs them that they're going to be providing a hand tomorrow too since its Cup Day.

Karl, who has been silently reading his paper with a glass of wine, asks how long she plans to continue punishing them when they disappear to get more stock and her reply is until she gets bored of it!

KARL: I think they're starting to get the message.
SHEILA: No harm in making sure!
KARL: Yes, no harm in getting a few odd jobs done along the way as well?
SHEILA: Penalty rates on Cup Day are an absolute nightmare! It's a win-win!
KARL: No such thing as a win-win Sheila, someone always loses out in the end.

Number 26 backyard
Bossy is demanding to be let out and when Nate does that, he spots Chris lying on the ground still having the seizure and immediately calls Karl for help.

Number 26
Karl is examining a now conscious Chris and arranging for him to have a scan at the hospital. Chris thinks he's just fallen asleep and Karl explains that Nate took him in after he suffered a seizure. He explains to them his last movements including the flight flickering and Karl insists on him going to hospital to be scanned.

Number 22
Josh and his parents are talking about the forthcoming hearing when Imogen comes in and tells them that Chris is being taken to hospital after having a seizure.

Hospital
"Do you think this means I have epilepsy?" Chris asks Karl as the battery of tests begin and his reply is that they don't know until the tests are done.

Georgia/Kyle arrive and are told not to worry, as Chris thinks it was just a one-off. Nate leaves them to chat with Chris and he isn't pleased at his boyfriend leaving so attempts to get out of bed to go home until Karl comes into the room and bluntly tells him that he isn't leaving, they need to monitor him especially in the immediate hours following a seizure.

CHRIS: So my life just stops does it?
KARL: This is non-negotiable. A seizure is a very serious matter for your own good you need to stay put.

With that, Karl makes Chris fully get back into the hospital bed.

Number 22
"I knew it was too good to be true," Josh comments and Brad tells them that Chris is recovering well after talking to Karl on the phone. They all then breathe a sigh of relief although Brad does say that while Karl couldn't go into details, it did sound positive. "Don't worry," is Brad's take but Josh is already thinking the worst with the news.

Number 26
Sheila enters the house and gives Bossy some praise for her role in finding Chris. However, as she makes her way through to the kitchen, she accidentally knocks over the lamp that she gave Georgia/Kyle as a wedding present (Georgia told her earlier that she'd moved it from the laundry to the living room) and one of the handles has broken off.

Number 30
"How much is this going to change things?" Brad asks Toadie after informing him about Chris. Toadie thinks that it will change things, including the punishment, depending on the actual news about Chris but refuses to be drawn into speculating how much of an impact. He suggests that they have a meeting in the morning when hopefully there will be news.

Brad is quite despondent with this latest development (and how it will affect Josh) feeling almost inadequate as a parent.

BRAD: He makes one stupid mistake and that's it. If he goes to jail his life is gone.

When Toadie doesn't respond, he now asks if jail is inevitable and is told to prepare for that possibility.

Hospital
Josh pays Chris a brief visit but he's unaware of the visitor as he is sleeping.

Number 22
Josh arrives home and goes to sit on the step outside. Brad spots him there and goes to sit next to him before putting a reassuring arm around his son.

Number 26
Sheila has repaired the lamp just in time as Georgia arrives home and gives her an update on how Chris is going. As she is making her way through to the kitchen to join Sheila in a cuppa, she accidentally throws her keys onto the side table... the one that has the repaired lamp... and promptly knocks the handle of it off again!

"I didn't do it deliberately Sheila," Georgia pleads and promises to get it repaired no matter what the cost.

Hospital
Chris awakes to what he thinks is a nurse coming to take his blood pressure but in fact its Nate who has entered his room - he's cleared it with the nursing staff that he can spend the night with Chris as long as he doesn't over-excite him. Nate then gets into Chris' bed (he's fully dressed) complete with cold hands!

Number 26 backyard (next day)
Georgia/Kyle are discovering that it's going to cost a fortune to repair the lamp after calling around but they'd rather do that than have the guilt from Sheila for the rest of their lives! They decide to see if it will be cheaper to buy a replacement and Sheila is so impressed at them thinking of that whilst simultaneously trying to avoid the evil eye Bossy is giving her!

Hospital
Chris/Nate wake up and Nate gets out of the bed to give Chris the coconut slice he brought the previous night. Nate then asks how he is and Chris thinks that checking up on him was the only reason Nate stayed the night. "No," Nate replies but then admits he was worried about him, and still is, he snuck in because he loves Chris. "I love you too," Chris replies back as they then reach for each other's hands.

Number 26 backyard
It looks like Kyle has found a replacement but it's in England and Sheila thinks he shouldn't be going to too much trouble. Georgia agrees with him, they have to. The pair's attention is drawn to Sheila who has told Bossy to stop staring at her.

KYLE: You alright Gran?
SHEILA: Alright, alright, I broke the lamp. I tried to glue it back together again quickly but... I'm sorry.
GEORGIA: So you let me believe that it was my fault?!
SHEILA: I said I was sorry, can we just move on!
KYLE: No! No! You were going to let us spend thousands of dollars trying to fix this thing.
GEORGIA: This thing that we love.
SHEILA: Oh please you never even liked it in the first place!
GEORGIA: We thought that it was special because you gave it to us.
SHEILA: Alright, alright I will get it repaired.
GEORGIA: (trying to keep a straight face) No, I'm sorry but I don't think that I could look at that lamp ever again.
KYLE: Yes. Yes, me neither not now, not after these revelations.

"What do you mean?" Sheila asks them and Kyle replies back that it's going to take them a long time to get over it and adds in that they won't be helping her with the waitering either! Georgia backs her husband up too before they quickly head inside the house.

SHEILA (to Bossy): Are you happy now Witch dog!

Sheila then gets a text from G asking for her help and rolls her eyes upon reading it.

Number 22
Toadie arrives for the meeting with the Willises and reports that the hospital say there is no new updates for Chris except that he is doing fine and awaiting test results but they aren't likely to be in until after the hearing. This news means it's a big unknown that they are going into court with and his suggestion is that they delay the hearing. Terese wonders if that won't look bad and his reply is no and it's not ideal going to trial when the victim is still in the hospital.

JOSH: The victim?! How can you talk about him like that, I thought you were his friend?
TOADIE: Yes Josh, Chris is my friend and I'm also your lawyer and as such it's my job to put my personal feelings aside to get the best possible outcome for you. So, if that means pushing back the hearing until we actually know what we're dealing with well that's then what we should do.

"No," Josh replies he doesn't want a delay because it's been torture waiting this long and doesn't want it to drag out any more. "We're talking about your future," Brad reminds his son adding that it could be the difference between going to jail or walking away. Josh's stance is he could go to jail whether they wait or not and asks what the difference is. Brad replies that they should wait and see as Chris' condition could have a bearing on his sentence. Imogen also interjects to say that everyone is entitled to defend himself and that he shouldn't feel bad about doing that. Brad sees it as being the responsible thing to do.

JOSH: I am being responsible.
BRAD: What by putting your hand up and going to jail?
JOSH: No, by facing up to the consequences of what I did.

Toad cuts in to say they want to minimise those consequences if they can and Brad orders his son to stop being pig headed.

JOSH: You can call it what you like but we're not delaying it.
BRAD: Yes we are.

Terese calls for them both to calm down but Brad doesn't want to stand by and watch is son make another mistake. "It's my decision," Josh yells out and Toadie confirms that it is.

JOSH: It's my life, it's my case and its time I copped my punishment. Not later, now! I'll be at the sentencing hearing as planned.

(Later)

"I don't think he's going to change his mind," Imogen says to her dad when he explains why Terese won't be joining them for a cuppa (she's out walking with Josh). He agrees with her and wonders if they can come up with something to stop the hearing from going ahead. Imogen reminds him that Josh doesn't want that to happen so he asks if there is anything hypothetically that could lead to an adjournment.

Illness is the first one Imogen comes up with and Brad can't see that happening, then adds a change or lawyer or if a key piece of information went missing but thinks it's pointless as none of these reasons apply.

IMOGEN: The best chance we had at requesting a delay was based on the fact that Chris was in hospital.
BRAD: Which Josh nipped in the bud.
IMOGEN: Exactly. So even if we wanted to delay now we couldn't because Josh has already instructed Toadie not to.

"I think we need to respect his decision," she tells her dad after he shook his head at her last sentence.

BRAD: I'm his father, I'm not going to stand back and watch him go to jail.
IMOGEN: We don't know if that's going to happen. I'm worried about Josh too but a part of me is really proud of him taking responsibility for his actions. Takes a lot of guts especially when everyone is telling you not to.

Imogen's phone starts to ring (it's Toadie) and she walks away from her dad to talk to him. While her back is turned, Brad looks through the file of evidence/notes and removes one of them (something from Erinsborough Hospital).
