Previously on Neighbours
- Feeling lonely after their respective relationships collapse, Kate and Kyle TITTNL
- Robbo and Mason's bungled robbery attempt at Lassiter's is witnessed by Sonya
- Amber leaves her phone in Clay's car after they argue, and runs into Robbo as she walks home
A road in Erinsborough
Amber backs off as Robbo walks towards her, convinced he's been following her. She wants him to leave her alone, but he says he won't let her walk back alone in the middle of the night. He offers to give her a lift, but she's not keen. He apologises to her for leaving without saying goodbye last time and says he owes her an explanation. Amber reveals she knows he was involved in the robberies at Mount Isa and at Lassiter's, and marches off into the night.
No 30
Georgia is doing some late- night songwriting when Kyle comes in, and asks when she's coming to bed. She's thinking of taking Karl up on his offer of performing some of her own songs as part of the band's set- list. When he asks what the song she's writing is about, she explains it's about 'a love gone wrong' - and that it's about her relationship with Scotty. She claims she's struggling and says they should go to bed, but Kyle looks worried.
A footpath in Erinsborough
Amber is walking home, and Robbo's still walking with her, trying to convince her of his good intentions. He begs her to let him explain why he was mixed up in the robberies.
AMBER: Will you leave me alone if I do?
ROBBO: Whatever you want. I just don't want you going to bed with the wrong idea about me.
AMBER: Yeah, well my house is just over there. So all I have to do is scream.
ROBBO: Okay, okay. I get it. Now believe it or not, the reason I got involved in that Lassiter's job was for you.
AMBER: Is that meant to impress me?
Robbo claims he needed the money to set himself up; he knew he'd need a job and a place to live if Amber's parents were ever to accept him. Amber demands to know why he lied about not being in contact with Mason when really he was pestering him for money; Robbo says he knows it was stupid, but he was desperate, adding that after he bungled the robbery, he left town because he knew Amber deserved better.
Robbo says that, now he and Mason are off the hook, he figures he and Amber can make a go of it again. He asks after Mason, and Amber coldly says he's fine - before telling Robbo to stop following her, and heading home. Robbo shouts after her that he's staying in the caravan park, and that they could catch up soon.
No 32
Amber comes in to find Matt and Mason watching Formula 1. She explains that Clay turned out to be a jerk and that she had to walk home, as she left her phone in his car - but doesn't mention seeing Robbo. However, once Matt's gone to bed, she tells Mason all about it. Mason's furious and asks if Robbo tried anything or threatened her; Amber says no, but adds that she suspects Robbo doesn't know there's a warrant out for his arrest, or about Mason being convicted of the Lassiter's robbery. The pair opt not to tell Matt, since he's already been demoted because of Robbo, but instead decide to make an anonymous call to the station and tell them Robbo's at the caravan park.
No 30
The next morning, Georgia is still writing her song - but becomes evasive when Kyle tries to have a look at her songbook, saying there's lots of emotional, personal stuff in there that she doesn't want him to read. He asks if there's stuff about Scotty in there, and she confirms there is - but says it's hardly surprising, given how long they were together. She goes to get changed for work, taking the songbook with her.
Harold's Store
Mason meets Kate in Harold's - he's messaged her about Robbo being back in town. Mason confirms he called the police from a public phone, disguising his voice. He says he's going to walk Amber to school, as he doesn't trust Robbo; he thinks he's back in town for money or revenge, not simply to see Amber as he's told her. Kate suddenly comes over all queasy, then buys chocolate, saying she's craving it. Mason looks worried, and encourages her to go outside for some fresh air.
Lassiter's Complex
Mason, Kate, Amber and Matt see Robbo being dragged out of a police car by cops. Matt says a colleague told him there'd been an anonymous tip- off, and Mason and Amber admit their involvement - saying they thought it would be cleaner that way, rather than getting Matt involved. Matt says they did the right thing to call the police, but that Amber should still have told him. Robbo gives them all slow- motion evil looks as he's dragged into the police station.
Harold's Store
Chris comes in, having just been told about Robbo by Mason. He takes a seat with Amber, who's decided to take some time out from school given the circumstances. While she's relieved that Robbo's been arrested, she's confused because he said he'd come back to town for her, and was very protective of her last night after Clay left her by the roadside. Amber says she won't be dating Clay again, but asks Chris if Robbo coming back for her might mean something. He asks her if she wants it to, and she says no - it's just stirring up old memories. Chris suggests that now Robbo's been arrested, it might provide the closure she needed.
Dial- A- Kyle
Chris drops by Kyle's yard, and Kyle explains that he's upset because Georgia won't write songs about him! Amused, Chris asks for an explanation: Kyle claims that she seems to have found inspiration in everything, including Scotty - but not Kyle. Chris suggests it might be a good thing: Kyle might just not be a big enough source of angst for Georgia!
CHRIS: Who cares if she wrote a song about Scotty? I guarantee it's not a love song or any kind of tribute to the guy.
KYLE: Yeah, but if I was to write a song, I'd write it about her. And if she doesn't write songs about me, it obviously means she doesn't feel the same way.
CHRIS: If it really bothers you that much, there is someone you can talk to, you know. And guess what - it's not me.
KYLE: You're right!
Kyle leaps in his ute and drives off to see Georgia.
CHRIS: No worries, Kyle, any time!
No 30
Kyle relays his feelings to Georgia, demanding to know why she doesn't write songs about him. She says it's easier to write about painful things she's been through in the past, rather than about him; when she's writing music she has to bare her soul, and she's scared to do that about Kyle.
KYLE: I don't know whether that's a good thing or a bad thing.
GEORGIA: You really don't get what I'm talking about, do you?
KYLE: No, I really don't.
GEORGIA: I'm talking about L- O- V- E.
KYLE: Love?
GEORGIA: Yes.
KYLE: You mean...
GEORGIA: Look, I think that I'm in love with you, and I can't write a song about you without admitting that.
KYLE: That's what scares you?
GEORGIA: Yeah. Especially as I don't know if anything like that is on your radar.
KYLE: Well, it is, actually. It's all over the radar.
GEORGIA: You don't have to say that if you don't mean it.
KYLE: I'm not. I'm in love with you too. I'd put it in a song, but I'm a pretty lousy singer.
GEORGIA: Yeah. You are pretty bad.
They kiss.
Fitzgerald Motors
Mason is underneath Hermione the car fixing it, while delivering some crucial exposition to Kate on the phone; he's explaining that Lucas said he can come to the garage any time to work on it, even though he no longer works there. Robbo approaches, revealing he's been released on bail, and that he's told the police he had nothing to do with the Lassiter's robbery; he's not going to jail for Mason, or anyone. He asks Mason how it feels, having betrayed a mate to the cops.
MASON: You really think we're still mates?
ROBBO: Not anymore. You might have rolled over to save your own skin, but not me. I'm not going down without a fight.
MASON: That's not what happened.
ROBBO: I'm never going to forget what you did.
MASON: I was identified by the witness, Robbo; I had no choice. I had to tell the truth.
ROBBO: You chose to be a gutless little coward.
MASON: I already did time for you once, I'm not doing it again.
ROBBO: You screwed me over, so from now on you'd better grow eyes in the back of your head. Because I'm going to be everywhere.
No 32
Bailey has had a text from Rani, who's arrived in India safely - but is having technical difficulties with his phone so can't speak to her. Lauren says she's sure Rani will call when she's settled in.
Mason comes in, looking desperately for Amber; he tells Matt, Lauren and Bailey that Robbo is out on bail. Lauren says Amber's at school and will be safe there, while Matt adds that if Robbo comes near any of them, he'll get his bail revoked. Lauren tells Mason not to risk his good behaviour bond, and Matt goes to check on Amber at school.
Harold's Store
Still looking for a way out of buying the Eclipse apartment Lucas won at auction, Vanessa jokingly tries to get Kate to buy it instead - but Kate's not ready for that sort of responsibility. Kate again mentions that she's craving sweet stuff, and adds that she feels weird. Vanessa has to attend to a customer, but Kate starts looking at the calendar on her phone, and begins to worry.
Power Road
Amber is sitting outside Grease Monkeys, when Robbo emerges from the Bric- a- Brac Shop (hopefully not as a result of having just sold Susan's new watch!) Robbo tells Amber he can't go to jail as he's seen what it does to people, and begs for her support. Walking away, she tells him that if he pleads guilty, he could get a good behaviour bond like Mason, but he insists he's changed, and needs her - she's the only reason he returned. Robbo points out that Mason made mistakes too, and everyone's forgiven him; doesn't he deserve a second chance too?
ROBBO: You're the only thing that makes sense in my life anymore. If you feel anything for me, like you used to - please, help me.
AMBER: I told you to leave me alone.
He chases after her, but Mason sees them, and runs across to intervene. Robbo and Mason start to get aggressive, with Mason telling him to stay away from Amber. Mason pushes Robbo up against a fence, at which point Robbo whispers: "Amber's still hot for me." This causes Mason to lose it and punch Robbo in the eye, which makes Robbo's day. Amber shouts at Mason, reminding him of his good behaviour bond - but the damage is already done.
No 26 (back garden)
Kyle is on the phone to Georgia, who is coming round shortly, but not to see him apparently. He's about to get in the hot- tub when Kate comes out of the house, looking upset. She admits there's something wrong, and Kyle asks if she wants to talk about it.
KATE: I'm late.
KYLE: Late for what?
KATE: No - I - I'm late.
KYLE: Okay. So...?
KATE: So I think I might be pregnant.
Tomorrow on Neighbours
- Kate doesn't want to get in the way of Georgia and Kyle's happiness, but Kyle is concerned
- Mason is angry at himself for giving Robbo the opportunity to report him
- Matt warns Sonya that Robbo's back in town; then warns Robbo to stay away from his family
- Robbo asks Toadie if he'll represent him, saying he's been wrongly identified!
