Harold's Store
Imogen is interested in buying a car despite Amber trying to put her off doing that. Eventually she finds a car online that she does like and that is within her price range, a 1982 Ford Capri XR2 for $1800 and contacts the seller.
Number 32
Lauren is clearing up the house after their day of babysitting. Matt remarks he's glad those days are behind them and puts his teenage parenting skills into action by not letting Mason borrow the car to take Kate on a date. Lauren tempts him into letting Mason have the car so they can have the house to themselves kid free, hint hint!!
MATT: You've twisted my arm!
Number 22
The Willis' try to work out how to handle Don but Brad tells Josh that he needs to carry on as normal and keep going training even if he thinks otherwise and has majorly blown his chances of competing in Glasgow. In among the discussion about Don, Imogen comes downstairs to announce she is off to buy a car! Eventually her parents turn their attention to her and try to talk her out of it but she's made her mind off and leaves to go buy it.
Number 26
Kate tries to hide the pictures of the wedding photo shoot from Mason when he comes round but he sees them and the funny side of it before they depart on their date.
Lassiters car park
The girls return from a test drive in the car and despite Amber saying the car needs work and that they should get Mason/Chris to look at it, Imogen buys the car especially when the seller agrees to knock the price of a service off the selling price.
Ramsay Street
Imogen shows her new car off to her parents and Brad's initial comments are what has she done! He isn't happy at her buying the car but Imogen doesn't care and has even thought of a name for the car - Herminie.
Dingo's gym
Hudson is angry that Chris didn't tell him about knowing Josh/spilling the beans. Chris explains his rationale and that it's just Don giving him the leg up and puts the idea to him that perhaps some time in the future Don may do the same to him. Hudson is aghast at that suggestion and is more worried about Don dumping him if he thinks that he is bad mouthing him because Don has always been there for him.
HUDSON: I'm closer to him than I am my own father.
Hudson then starts having some chest pains and when Chris shows concern/wants to get help, puts him off and says it was down to pushing himself earlier. He ends up storming out of the changing room, telling Chris to back off, when he goes over to try and tend to him.
Ramsay Street
Mason and Kate come back from their date and see Herminie. Their initial good comments about it (unlike her parents) are soon forgotten though when Mason tries to start her and discovers she won't start. Mason checks out the engine/the car and does give her hope - everything can be fixed!
Number 32
Matt isn't happy to find out that Mason didn't fill the car with petrol and rejects his offer of giving him cash (and for Matt to fill up) and instead ordering Mason to go fill it up.
Amber comes looking for her brother wanting news on the car as Imogen is getting worked up. He isn't surprised as he describes the car as "a piece of junk" and wonders what she was thinking!
AMBER: When she wants something she wants it and there is no way of talking her out of it.
MASON: Well she is going to be paying for it!
Number 22
Mason gives Imogen the bad news that it's going to cost a bit to put everything right with the car and she can't return the car to the seller either.
IMOGEN: So I have no money and a broken car? Brilliant! Just brilliant!
Mason offers to work on the car for mate's rates in his spare time but she could be waiting a while as he doesn't have much spare time. He then has a brainwave and suggests they do an arrangement with each other...
Number 26
And that arrangement is they are going to share the car - a win win situation for all he tells Kate. Kate thinks things might get awkward given Imogen is one of her students but he reassures her it will be fine.
Harold's Store
Chris has confided in Amber about Hudson/Josh when he gets a text from Hudson asking to meet up. She suggests not meeting and her tuppenceworth is that Don could be dodgy too, which Chris immediately rejects instead saying it's just the pressure Hudson under. Amber hopes that Chris' big heart isn't being taken advantage of and quizzes him if Hudson is the right person he should be with?
Charlie's
Chris reluctantly shows up to meet Hudson. They immediately begin talking about Don and Chris' feelings are that Hudson shouldn't have anything to do with him but he sees it in another light that Don simply wants him to win. Both decide to move the conversation onto something else and Hudson tells him that the Doc checked him out and he is fine, it was down to stress and has been told to try yoga/meditation to relax. Both scoff at the thought of him doing that and Chris suggests something else - dinner at his place, which Hudson agrees to.
Harold's Store
Vanessa hands over some cupcakes to Lauren as payment for babysitting. They then start talking about Lauren wanting another baby but she feels Matt won't be won round with the views he is holding.
Number 22
Lauren/Matt are round for dinner with Brad/Terese and first topic is the car sharing with Imogen/Mason - all bar Terese seem to be against the idea but nobody seems to know how to handle it and instead agree to follow Terese's suggestion of letting it see how it plays out.
Number 26
Chris and Hudson are relaxing after their meal and agree not to tell anyone about the meal/Hudson having a beer - he's not supposed to have any when training although Chris then points out that he's always training!
HUDSON: Yip, tell me about it!
Chris asks if he gets any down time and Hudson replies that he can't afford that especially just now as Don is on his back because his times aren't good. "I wish that wasn't the only thing he was doing," Hudson nonchalantly remarks while rubbing his chest at the same time, but refuses to expand on it when Chris asks.
As Chris talks more to him, the pain Hudson is experiencing (holding his chest like he's having a heart attack) seems to be getting worse and Chris decides to call for an ambulance.
(Later)
The ambo's have been and tell Hudson to get checked out by his GP tomorrow since the pain seems to have gone. As he's showing them out, Chris mentions to one of the ambo's about Hudson visiting his doctor today and being diagnosed with stress and asks if there is anything else that can be done. The ambo's reply is for Hudson to see a drug counsellor! Chris is stunned by this suggestion.
AMBO: He said he wasn't taking any medication but I doubt that is true. He's got the classic symptoms.
Chris lets the penny drop before closing the door and confronting Hudson by asking if he's taking enhancing drugs. "No," is Hudson's immediate reply but Chris doesn't believe him and goes raking in his bag and finding a bottle of tablets. "What's this?" Chris asks and Hudson's reply is that they are vitamins. Chris doesn't believe him because the bottle has no label, so Hudson now says its supplements.
CHRIS: Did Don put you up to this? Is that what you meant before?
HUDSON: No.
CHRIS: What are you taking?
HUDSON: It's no big deal.
CHRIS: You're taking performance enhancing meds and you think that's no bid deal?!
HUDSON: It was just once... today.
CHRIS: And look at what it's done to you!
HUDSON: I must have mixed up the dose.
Chris then wants to know if it was Don's idea but Hudson's reply doesn't satisfy Chris' yes/no option, saying Don has put so much effort into him that he feels he can't let him down.
CHRIS: This stuff could kill you.
HUDSON: You don't know what you are taking about. Just promise me you won't say anything... to anyone.
