Josh comes in to find Brad already at home.
BRAD: How was training?
JOSH: You tell me!
Querying why Brad was secretly watching him at the pool, Josh tells his dad that Don's a good coach, and that he can't keep checking up like that. But Brad tells Josh that Don's timing measurements seem always to be faster than Brad's; Josh puts it down to a different stopwatch, but Brad thinks there's no way Josh could be swimming that fast, as he's only just started on middle- distance.
Brad thinks that Don is deliberately undertiming Josh, but Josh questions what his motivation would be to do so, saying Don's only agenda is to get him to the Olympics. He adds that it's sad Brad would go to these lengths to turn Josh against Don, and tells Brad not to come to his training anymore.
Dingoes Gym
Josh fills in Chris about his row with Brad whilst on the running machines; he's convinced Brad is just jealous that Don's a better coach. Chris pipes up and tells Josh what he knows: namely, that Don deliberately switched him to middle- distance to leave Hudson unrivalled as sprinter. Chris adds that Brad asked him to keep quiet until he'd found proof. Josh is surprised.

Matt is surprised to find that Lauren is babysitting Nell for Sonya and Toadie - and also Patrick for Lucas and Vanessa. When Vanessa comes round to drop Patrick off, Matt says (but doesn't look like) he's thrilled to be looking after the kids, and jokes that if they're any trouble he'll take them to the station and lock them up.

Karl comes in to tell Susan about his latest artistic dispute with Ajay at Harold's earlier - but Susan explains she's had her own visit from Ajay after he found out she took Rani to the doctor, to tell her to stop interfering with his parenting. She moans that she was only trying to help.
Harold's Store
Vanessa messes up Bailey's drinks order, because she's too busy looking at photos of Nell and Patrick that Lauren has texted her. Ajay comes in.
AJAY: Hey Bailey, I've been looking for you.
BAILEY: Hey Mr Ka-
AJAY: Listen, I want to tell you something, so listen to me carefully, alright? You'd better not be thinking what I think you're thinking - because if you are, you get it out of your head, understand?
BAILEY: I'm not, I promise. I'm not thinking anything.
AJAY: Good. Keep it that way.
Ajay departs, and Bailey asks Vanessa what that was all about.
VANESSA: You're dating his daughter. It's not that hard to work out.
Bailey looks embarrassed.
Lassiter's Complex
Karl rushes to catch up with Ajay, telling him he shouldn't go off at people like he did to Susan, or he'll end up pushing them away. Ajay apologises, but says he's worried about Rani; he wasn't expecting 'this' to happen so soon, and had always thought Priya would be around to help. Karl says he'll have to learn to trust Rani, and to tell her how he feels about her keeping things from him. That way, she might end up trusting him.

Matt reads 'Diary of a Wombat' to Nell and Patrick, in a funny voice - but they don't look impressed. Lauren comes in and comments on how natural a father Matt is; he admits he's enjoyed looking after the babies, but says it's hard work and that he's ready for a nap!
LAUREN: Er, no you don't. It's feeding time.
MATT: Thanks, but I couldn't eat another thing. Nellie and I just shared a rusk, didn't we?
Lauren gets a whiff of something and decides that one of the babies' nappies needs changing.
Dingoes Gym (changing room)
Hudson comes in to find Josh getting changed. Josh confronts Hudson about what Chris told him, but Hudson denies all knowledge, saying Chris must have misunderstood what he told him. He admits he's benefited from Josh moving to middle- distance, but says Don is just trying to get Josh to work to his strengths - and that he should be happy about that.

Josh gazes nostalgically at a photo of him and Brad. There's a knock at the door; it's Don. Josh immediately confronts him, asking if his times are really improving, or if Don is undertiming him. Don says if Brad has a problem with him he should say so to his face, not get Josh to do it for him. Don adds that he put Josh in middle- distance because it's where he belongs, not to make things easier for Hudson. Don says he wouldn't waste time on Josh if he didn't think he had talent, and asks him to decide whether he's in or out. Josh says he's in, and they head off to train.
Harold's Store
Vanessa serves drinks for Bailey and Rani, and the pair take a table. Bailey tells Rani about Ajay having a go at him earlier, and asks if something's happened to set him off. Rani claims it's just because of his band differences with Karl.
BAILEY: At least your dad's into music. Mine thinks Mumford and Sons is a funeral home.
Ajay comes in, and Bailey makes excuses to leave - so Rani asks her dad what he's said to freak him out. Ajay says he's sorry and that he was going to apologise to Bailey, and asks if Rani will give him another chance to explain why she's going on the pill. She admits it's because she's being having period cramps. Ajay's relieved, but Rani takes that to mean that he would still have freaked out if she'd gone to the doctor's for another reason.
RANI: You say you want us to be able to talk, but you only want me to tell you stuff you want to hear. You don't want me to grow up or to be my own person.
AJAY: No, that's not what I meant - Rani...
RANI: I've got to go. I've got to make sure that my boyfriend hasn't decided to dump me because of my overprotective, lunatic dad!
Ajay tells Vanessa that this is what she has to look forward to, but she says boys are way less trouble.

Ajay comes round with a bunch of flowers. Karl jokingly tells him he shouldn't have, but they're for Susan - and Ajay apologises for losing the plot with her earlier, saying he was too proud to listen. They hug, and Karl puts the kettle on. The Kennedys reassure Ajay that he's a good dad, and if he needs any help with Rani they will always be there. Ajay tells them that if he ever fails to listen to them again, they should bash him over the head - and this gets Karl thinking...

Karl goes to see Georgia, saying that he wants her in the band after all. He says that she was amazing at the gig last week and that he therefore hopes she'll reconsider about joining The Right Prescription. Georgia hesistantly says she's in - and Karl immediately passes her all his song sheets. Georgia says she was doing covers, but Karl says that now she's a permanent fixture, she'll have to learn all his songs instead! Karl goes to let Ajay know, leaving Georgia looking less than thrilled.

Matt's just heading out as Vanessa comes in to collect Patrick - Sonya has already picked up Nell, and Lauren is a bit sad to see the babies go. She says it's made her realise how much she'd like another baby, and Vanessa says she ought to! Lauren says she's too old, but Vanessa points out that lots of women are just starting families at her age. Lauren admits it would be nice to do it all again.
Charlie's
Matt calls in for a drink, and Brad's already at the bar. Matt explains that he's been babysitting all day, and that he's exhausted. He says teenagers are much easier work than babies, and that he's glad those days are behind him!
Swimming Pool
Josh is training while Don times him. Afterwards, Don says Josh has scored another personal best. Josh says he thought he was slow on the last two turns, but Don insists he's mistaken - and tells him to finish up so they can go through his notes. Josh looks suspicious.
Harold's Store
Rani comes in and sits down with Ajay for a third attempt at their chat. She says he's not the only one who overreacted; and that he might not be the world's most embarrassing dad after all.
AJAY: But I'm still on the list, huh?
RANI: Oh, definitely.
Rani says that, if she's honest, she doesn't like talking to Ajay about 'private girls' stuff', and Ajay admits he's not that comfortable with it either. In future, he says she should talk to Susan or Sonya - but if it's something major, she's got to let him know.
AJAY: I love you so much. And I trust you - it's just - you know, it's hard for me. Because you're all I've got in this world. You're my baby.
He also has some other news for her, and shows her a cheque for $350,000. It's from the gas bottle company, as compensation for Priya's death.
