Tash is having breakfast, and wishes Karl "good afternoon" when he appears, as he's normally up first. He said he had a late night, but she points out he was in bed when she got in. He replies that he didn't get much sleep (and he looks exhausted). He wonders if she ought to be at work, or properly dressed... or something... and she deduces that he's trying to get rid of her. She asks if he has a girl in his bedroom he's trying to smuggle out. He tells her not to be ridiculous, but she says she was joking. He frowns.

Chris is on the phone arranging for a car to be picked up. Lucas arrives, and Chris says it's been busy. Lucas says he can stay: Patrick is stable at the moment. Ralphie turns up and asks for a word with Chris. Lucas takes Chris aside and says he knows they're busy, but they don't deal with Ralphie. Chris says he thought Lucas had used him previously. Lucas said that was before he knew what he was like: dodgy. Chris promises to get rid of him, and nervously goes outside. Ralphie has changed his mind about the payment plan and wants $600 today. Chris says he'll call when he has it, and Ralphie says threateningly that he'll be back later.
No 30 - back yard
Kyle is installing a new watering system. Georgia comes out with a towel. They chat a bit awkwardly about Scotty and Jana. Georgia tells him she's happy it's working out for him. He says he is too, but neither looks that happy. They sneak glances at each other.
Outside Harold's
Sarah is having a drink when Paul strolls up and asks her why she's not at the paper: has she had a run- in with Susan? She sighs: she wishes she'd just flown in, made the deal and left. Paul points out that she must have realised she would meet Karl and Susan. He reckons something looks unfinished. She says ruefully it's not going to work now...
PAUL: What have you done now?
SARAH: The very thing that Susan's been accusing me of.

Tash comes in, looking for her phone. She asks if he's got rid of the girl. He denies there was one.
TASH: Either there was a girl, or you've taken up drag.
KARL: What?
TASH: (shows him a glass) Lipstick, Karl.
KARL: All right, thank you, Miss Marple.
She asks if it was Susan or Sarah and says she's barracking for Susan. She leaves before Karl can respond. Karl remembers the kiss from the previous night. He'd pulled away and Sarah agreed you couldn't recapture the past.
Charlie's
Chris tells Andrew he's desperate for $600. Andrew says he hasn't got it, but then decides to take it out of the till. Tash arrives and thinks something is suspicious, but they brush it off as Chris being nervous about getting his licence back. She tells him he'll be fine, but not to drive illegally in the meantime.
No 30 - back yard
Kyle takes his shirt off and catches Georgia watching him. She decides to spray on some sunscreen. He asks if he can have some, and then asks for her help as he can't do his back by himself. She tells him to sit on the sun lounger and starts with his shoulders, when Angie comes out and sees them. She tells Georgia that Sonya wants her inside, now. Georgia leaves, reluctantly. Kyle starts to get up, but Angie stops him
ANGIE: Stay there sunshine. Aunty Angie's going to take care of you.
Angie enjoys applying the sunscreen - apparently Georgia "missed a bit" - but Kyle scowls.

Karl comes in and Susan tells him she's only got two hours to finish the final edition so he'll have to wait. He says it can't wait. She strops into the reception area with him. He tells her it's about him and Sarah. She says she's sick of it.
KARL: I told you that we had only kissed. And I lied. We slept together.
He explains that he lied to stop her walking away. He doesn't deserve forgiveness or even a reply, but he needs her to know the truth.
SUSAN: I do know. I've always known.
She says that she wanted to believe him: and everything they've been through since has been piled on top of a lie. He looks rueful and asks what they're going to do. She says they should get on with their lives. They papered over the cracks, but 14 years is long enough. He nods and leaves. She looks deflated.
No 30
Sheila comes in with some lunch for Kyle. She introduces herself to Angie, who is very offhand. They start arguing. Angie claims Kyle is out the back doing a strip show to tempt Georgia, while Sheila says Georgia is always sniffing around Kyle. Sonya comes in and tells them she's trying to get Nell to sleep. Angie says she'll get Sheila to pipe down. An annoyed Sheila raises her voice, which wakes up Nell! Angie tells Sheila that Georgia and Scotty are going through a rough patch and need support. Kyle overhears and asks what's happened. Sheila says it's none of their business, and hustles him out when he says he was going to lunch with Georgia.
Charlie's
Sheila apologises for being late. Tash reminds her she still has to count the till before she goes. Sheila says she'll do it, since she was late. Tash insists on doing it - it's procedure - but Andrew comes over and tells her to leave it. Paul wants a word with him about the final edition. Andrew tries to fob him off, but it's too late as Tash discovers the $600 shortfall. Andrew says she's miscounted, but Tash says Sheila's stolen: that's why she didn't want Tash to count it. Andrew insists Sheila wouldn't do that. Paul says it must be Tash then, but Tash asks why she would have told them if it was. So Paul saunters off to confront Sheila, saying he'll fire her if she can't explain. Sheila is offended by his accusation. Paul (generously) offers not to press charges if she replaces the money, but she says she'll press charges for defamation. Paul is just about to call the police, when Andrew stops him and confesses that he took it to pay a credit card bill. Paul calls over to Sheila, to say it was Andrew's fault. Sheila is not impressed by his apology! Paul tells Andrew he wants the money back today.
Garage
Andrew tells Chris that Paul found out about the money and he needs it back. Chris asks what he's going to do about Ralphie, and Andrew tells him to tell Lucas. Chris reluctantly hands over the money. Lucas drives off to pick up some parts.
Harold's
Kyle asks Georgia if she's OK, as he heard about her and Scotty from Angie. Georgia says she should mind her own business, adding that they had broken up. Long distance relationships don't work. Kyle sympathises. They exchange smouldering looks, while she says that she's glad it's working out for him, and she's happy to be single. He looks disappointed.
Garage.
Ralphie tells Chris it's not good enough. Chris apologises and offers to pay interest. Ralphie refuses, saying Chris owes him for the work he's done. He suggests Chris could do $600 worth of work for him. Chris doesn't want to do anything dodgy. Ralphie looks at him and says Chris has three options: pay up, accept that Ralphie could make the garage's name mud... Chris begs him not to do this as Lucas is a mate... or option 3: do a job for him: rework a few problem vehicles. It would be an easy way to pay his debt. Chris decides he has no choice.
Erinsborough News
Susan is photocopying when Karl comes in. Susan groans, saying she doesn't want to talk. Karl doesn't want to talk either: he gives her the signed divorce papers. He apologises - for everything, and she says it doesn't matter. The both look emotional, and Karl leaves, saying he'll see her around. Susan sits at her desk and looks at the headline of the final edition. "THE END" She frowns sadly.
