Lassiters complex
Rani is in shock at what she's witnessed and walks around in a daze until she runs into her dad who is asking her about planting the pressies for Priya. Ajay then spots his wife and hands over her first anniversary pressie and a kiss to go with it.

Number 32 (next day)
Sonya drops by to talk to Lucas about the wedding but he's trying to avoid it by keeping busy plus its Vanessa who is doing it tougher as he explains to Sonya about her parents totally cutting her off. Eventually he does open up to confess that he had an inkling they might not wed and that yes, it did feel crap on the day but reassures her he is fine now. He then spots the ring Sonya has on her finger and when he finds out, offers his congratulations immediately and offers to shout her and Toadie lunch as way of celebrating the good news.

Number 24
Rani has flashbacks to what she saw the night before while she plays with her cornflakes and trying not to watch her parents be very friendly with each other! Ajay heads out and Rani confronts her mum over what she saw (them hugging) and she passes it off as simply comforting Paul because he was upset over the news about Andrew.

PRIYA: That's all it was Rani, just talking and a hug, nothing else and certainly nothing for you to worry about okay.

Rani looks like she's not sure whether to believe her mum or not and eventually says "yip" but it's very tense between mother and daughter!

Harold's Store
Lucas comes in to tell Vanessa about Toadie proposing and to invite her to their celebration lunch at Charlie's. She rejects the offer to go, citing she needs to rest once her shift finishes but he's not taking no for an answer and she agrees to think about it .

Number 22
Rani drops by to tempt Sophie into a break from studying to head to Grease Monkey's but she rejects the offer as Andrew is due back soon and wants to get him lunch. Rani does some subtle questioning of Sophie about Paul/Andrew and his condition and if Paul had anyone he was unloading to. Sophie is a bit vague with some of her answers but does say that everyone needs someone to talk to.

Charlie's
The trio wait to see if Vanessa is going to appear when she eventually does and immediately gives Toadie and Sonya her congratulations when she does enter. Lucas gives Sonya/Toadie a toast but with a subtle undertone that together is better than separate.

(Later)

Commercial break later and Vanessa compliments Lucas for his speech when she joins him at that bar. She apologises for how she's been lately too and for putting him through the sham wedding/hurting him. Rhys makes an appearance and Lucas offers that they should leave but she refuses to - Rhys can leave if he feels uncomfortable!

Lassiters Lake
Cal runs into Rani at the lake to give him the good news about his parents but she's still in la la land and eventually unloads on him about her parents being weird lately. He replies that he's not noticed anything and she wonders if they are trying too hard because things are falling apart. Cal tells her not to stress and mentions his own experience around the time when Sonya got pregnant.

Charlie's veranda
Rhys has taken refuse outside, although he denies it when Kyle quizzes him, and instead says he's moved outside because he fancies some lassie who is sitting nearby.

Number 24
Priya thanks her daughter for the help in the treasure hunt by buying her a pressie (or is that to buy her silence?!) - a jacket she was after... with instructions to keep it quiet from her dad! She suggests that her daughter wears it to the movie they are all about to go and see.

While Priya goes off to see Ajay about the cinema, Rani thinks back again to what she witnessed last night.

Charlie's
Vanessa wants to contribute to the lunch bill but Lucas won't hear a word about it from her.

Charlie's veranda
Kyle returns with more beers and delivers news about Toadie/Sonya being engaged. He also rubs his drinking buddy up on the fact he hasn't made a move on the lassie and thinks it's due to Vanessa still being in the pub. Rhys replies that wasn't the case, he was just waiting for her friend to leave...who has just conveniently moved! With the coast clear, Rhys says bye to his housemate as he's got a woman to trap!

Number 32
Vanessa makes herself comfy on the sofa and invites Lucas to keep her company while they watch some programme on beauty pageants.

Charlie's
Rhys and Monica (the lassie he fancied) are getting to know each other over some wine.

Number 32
Lucas and Vanessa discuss the pageant show they've been watching. Sounds familiar!

Charlie's
Despite getting on like a house on fire with Monica, Rhys backs out of them spending longer together because he's still hung up about Vanessa.

Number 32
Vanessa calls a night to their TV viewing because she is tired but she pauses momentarily to look at Lucas before retreating into her room.

(Later)

Lucas is dosing on the couch when Rhys comes calling wanting to talk to Vanessa. He isn't too amused at his late night visitor and tells Rhys to let it go, he blew his chance with her.

Tomorrow on Neighbours
- Vanessa confused about Lucas.
- Sophie wanting to celebrate being able to walk unaided by getting a job.
