Toadie and Connor drink beer and watch video games, while Sonya gives Toadie a look. The pair of them try to convince Connor that he ought to go to Lori's wedding for Maddy's sake, but he isn't interested - saying he has better things to do than sit around with Maddy and her 'new dad' Cameron. Toadie and Sonya are slightly taken aback at his lack of responsibility, but he doesn't want to discuss it further - and seems more interested in the video game.

Andrew is hanging about the house, and is pleased to receive a visit from Tash, Chris and Summer, who have come to check how he's feeling. He says he's okay now he's on the right dosage, but is really bored.
CHRIS: Why don't you do a crossword?
TASH: What are you, fifty?
But Andrew is desperate to be back at work; Summer suggests he talk to his dad again, but he says it's a waste of time. Tash, however, says she has devised a way that Andrew can manage the bar from home...

Connor is playing a zombie video game, but Toadie turns it off so they can talk. Connor turns it back on again; he doesn't want a lecture.
TOADIE: You have a daughter, mate. And she needs a dad, not some idiot who won't grow up.
CONNOR: Yeah, 'cause that's really mature. You know, I don't know if I like this new Toadie. He's a bit of a party-killer.
TOADIE: Why are you so scared?
CONNOR: I've told you. I'm not going to the stupid wedding, alright? End of story.
TOADIE: Why, because Cameron the engineer might make you feel a little insecure?
Connor tells Toadie it's alright for him; he has a good job, a fancy car, a family. Connor has nothing. Toadie tells him he could have all that if he put in a bit of commitment. When Connor basically admits that he's given up on being part of Maddy's life, Toadie yells at him angrily, telling him that's not good enough - he needs to do whatever it takes to be there for his daughter.
CONNOR: Is the lecture finished?
TOADIE: I don't think I like this new Connor. He seems pretty tragic to me.
Connor looks gutted.
Lassiter's Complex
Priya is having a coffee outside Charlie's when Paul saunters up and asks her if she's made a decision.
PRIYA: It's my wedding anniversary.
PAUL: Oh, that's nice symmetry. A marriage beginning and ending on the same day.
Rattled, Priya tells Paul she's spending the evening with Ajay, and he threatens again to tell him everything. Priya says she's deleted all Paul's texts and emails and that Ajay will never believe him - but Paul has copies on his own phone. Priya lunges for the phone but Paul puts it back in his pocket, and tells her the entire lot can be sent to Ajay with just one click.

Toadie is struggling to concentrate on his work, as Connor heads out the back for a swim. He's still sore at Toadie for shouting at him earlier; Toadie says he was just trying to make him see sense. Connor starts having a go at Toadie, saying the whole hotshot lawyer routine isn't 'the real Toadie' he used to know.
TOADIE: Mate, I grew up.
CONNOR: Deep down, you're just the bloke who wants to move the furniture out of the way and wrestle on the carpet. That's the real you, not the bloke in the suit.
TOADIE: No mate, you're wrong.
CONNOR: Alright, okay. Well if you've gone all Mr Suburbia, why haven't you married Sonya?
TOADIE: ... Because we don't need to get married.
CONNOR: No. No - you haven't married her because you know that once that paper's signed, that you're stuck here. You're trapped in the suit forever. Isn't that right? Aren't I right?
TOADIE: No. No you're not right. I love Sonya. The reason we're not married is because I've had bad experiences in the past. You remember Dee? Steph?
CONNOR: Hmm. Well maybe that's the universe trying to tell you something. Maybe you're not cut out for all this. You see I reckon that deep down, you know that once you're married, the old Toadie's history. And that's why you can't do it.
Connor goes out to the pool, and Toadie angrily starts tidying up. Amidst the mess he finds Harold's Ramsay Street history book, and begins looking through it. He finds pictures of himself and Connor, young and carefree, with the caption: "Jarrod and Connor. The boys who will never, ever grow up." Turning the page he finds an invitation to his marriage to Dione, and photographs from the wedding day - together with the newspaper obituary he wrote for Dee.
Charlie's/No 22
Tash has affixed a webcam to the ceiling in Charlie's, and is wearing a headset, so that Andrew can see and hear everything that goes on in the bar without leaving home! Before long she's regretting it, as he begins remotely ordering her about!
TASH: I have done this before, you know.
ANDREW: Is that sass that you're giving me?
TASH: Watch it, or I will!
Paul comes in and demands to know who she's talking to on the headset. Andrew feeds her excuses from afar, and she manages to convince Paul that it's a new system that allows her to multitask by taking phone calls while she's away from the bar. Paul doesn't like it but grudgingly accepts it, while a grinning Andrew congratulates himself for his ingenuity. Only half-smiling, Tash threatens to turn him off!

Harold's
Toadie has asked Callum to come and meet him, and asks him to sit down. Toadie says he's been thinking about the family, and that there's something serious he wants to talk to him about: he wants to make a few changes.
No 30 / Harold's
Still reticent, Connor starts packing his bag, and simply tells Sonya that he thinks she should find Toadie. She calls him. At Harold's, Callum bursts out of the door, shocked at what Toadie has said to him. Toadie answers his phone and asks Sonya to come and meet him.
The Men's Shed
Sonya meets Toadie, demanding to know what they're doing here. He explains Connor got him thinking about their relationship and the baby. Sonya starts to worry, but Toadie asks Callum to 'hit it' and the shed lights up like a fairy garden.
TOADIE: I've realised that I'm actually really proud of who I've become. And I'm proud of the choices that I've made, that have got me standing here - with you - asking you to marry me.
He goes down on one knee and tells Sonya he wants to build a future with her.
TOADIE: I want us to live happily ever after. So will you? Will you marry me?
CALLUM: Get out the ring, Dad!
TOADIE: Oh yeah. Sorry, this is the best I could do on such short notice. It's out of a machine.
SONYA: No kidding.
TOADIE: Yeah. It squirts water, so it's really useful too.
SONYA: Yeah.
TOADIE: What do you reckon?
SONYA: Are you sure?
TOADIE: Yeah.
SONYA: No, but are you really sure?
TOADIE: Shut up, I'm sure!
SONYA: Shut up, I'm sure. I'm sure! I'm sure I love you.
TOADIE: That's really good, babe. What do you reckon about the wedding?
SONYA: I do, I do! Of course I do!
Callum lights up a big neon heart on the shed floor beneath them, as they hug joyously.
Charlie's
Summer and Chris are at the bar, as Tash explains her webcam management system to them, which she says has cheered Andrew up. If proof were needed, a delivery guy, Sam, comes in with a huge bunch of flowers for Tash. The note on them reads: "Thanks for everything. Now get back to work - Andrew x" - but when Summer asks who they're from, Tash makes out they're from Paul!
CHRIS: Paul Robinson sent you flowers?
SUMMER: That's creepy.
Tash says it's to buy her off for all the extra shifts she's been doing, but when she walks away from the others, Andrew asks over the headset why she didn't say the flowers were from him.
TASH: Because I didn't want to ruin your reputation. People will start thinking you're nice.
ANDREW: I am nice!
TASH: Would you stop it?
They both smile.
Priya comes in and takes a table, before calling Paul and asking to meet him.

Connor comes in and asks Toadie if everything's okay. He reveals he's asked Sonya to marry him. Connor apologises for what he said, but Toadie says it made him realise he needed to let go of the past. Connor's also been thinking, and has decided to go to Lori's wedding for Maddy after all. He thanks Toadie for having him, and apologises for overstaying his welcome. But Toadie wants him to come back after the wedding and stay for a bit longer.
CONNOR: Are you sure?
TOADIE: Wouldn't have it any other way.
CONNOR: Man-hug?
TOADIE: Thought you'd never ask.
They hug, and Toadie offers him a lift to the train station.
Lassiter's Complex
It's dark as Priya and Paul meet in an alleyway - Paul asks Priya what her decision is. At that moment, Rani and Ajay arrive at the complex with the bags of presents, and start looking for hiding-places...
PAUL: It's a simple enough question, Priya.
PRIYA: I know why you're behaving like this. You're not trying to ruin my life - you really do care for me.
PAUL: I did tell you.
Paul tries to convince her that they can make it work, but Priya spots Ajay around the corner and darts back behind the wall. Once Ajay's gone, Priya tells Paul their relationship has to stop.
PRIYA: I know you have feelings for me; I get that. But this isn't the real me. You only know the woman that you sneak around with, and that excites you. But you said it before: you like the thrill, you like the chase. You don't want to be in a relationship.
PAUL: I don't want to lose you.
PRIYA: I know. But you're better than this.
PAUL: Alright, go on then. You go and have your anniversary.
Priya gives Paul a final goodbye kiss, then a hug - just as Rani walks around the corner! Neither of them see her, and Rani darts back out of sight, horrified and confused by what she's seen...
