Number 32
Vanessa is looking at her vows when Lucas enters. Chris isn't coming to the wedding tomorrow. Lucas asks if Vanessa if she still wants to go through with the wedding after everything that happened with her dad. She says that maybe he'll come around, but maybe he won't. It still means a lot to her mother and the rest of the family so the wedding will go on.

Francesca arrives and sees Lucas. She kicks up a big fuss about him being there, as the bride and groom shouldn't see each other the night before the wedding. Toadie is expecting him, so she shoos him out of the house.

Ramsay Street
It's the next morning. Lucas meets Toadie outside Number 30. Lucas thanks him for last night, and for taking the day off work. Lucas thinks it is going to be a good day.

Number 32
Francesca calls Vanessa from her room and is shocked she hasn't even gotten dressed yet. Francesca shows her the earrings she wants her to wear today for her 'Something Old'. They're the ones that she wore on her wedding day. Francesca says Vanessa is doing the right thing today, by herself, by her family and by her baby. It takes a world of worry of Francesca's shoulders, and she tells Vanessa she looks beautiful. They both start to tear up.

Number 26
Kyle straightens his tie, while Rhys enters eating breakfast. Kyle says the only reason he's going today is because Lucas is his mate, he's not picking sides. Rhys says he's working today, he asked to be rostered on so that the wedding wasn't on his mind.

Ramsay Street
Toadie tells Lucas that Sonya sends her love. Toadie asks Lucas if he's sure about going through with this, as marriage is meant to mean something (that's not the tune you were singing when you married Steph two years ago, Toadie!) Lucas says its important that their kid gets to know Vanessa's family. Kyle joins them, and Toadie offers him a lift to the chapel. Kyle tells Lucas that Rhys is working today, which will probably be good for everyone.

Number 26
Rhys watches from the window as Lucas and Toadie get into the car. He rushes to grab his suit and heads to his room to get changed.

Erinsborough High Exterior
Rani and Harley are sitting holding hands. Harley asks if Erinsborough High has an end of year social, it does but only for Year 12's. Harley says she should ask Priya for a school social. Rani doesn't want to, but he says he wants to take her somewhere as his girlfriend so he can show her off. Rani says she'll try.

Rani walks over to Priya and asks her for a year 9 social. Priya agrees and tells Rani to organise it with Kate, using a shoestring budget.

Church
Toadie and Lucas are sitting at the front on the groom's side (there are only 2 old ladies and Kyle on the groom's side, the rest are on Vanessa's) Lucas takes out his vow's and reads through them again. He tells Toadie he wrote his own. Toadie's surprised, it's not like this is a real wedding, it's not like Lucas loves Vanessa. Lucas sits nervously.

Father Guidotti arrives at the front and the organ starts playing. Francesca walks Vanessa down the aisle. Father Guidotti begins the service, when Rhys walks in, sitting beside Kyle. Vanessa looks shocked, and keeps looking back and forth at Rhys.

(Later)

Vanessa is still looking at Rhys, Lucas whispers at Vanessa to focus. Father Guidotti asks if anyone knows of any reason why they should not be wed. He then asks again, and again, and we pause and look around the room and focus on Rhys... who clears his throat. That is all. Father Guidotti continues.

Harold's Exterior
Sophie, Rani and Callum are asking Kate about the social, while she's sitting having coffee with Georgia. Rani wants a grand romantic theme, like fairytales or Bollywood. Kate tells them to lower their expectations as it would cost a lot to have a themed social. Georgia has a suggestion.

Men's Shed
Georgia shows the teens the shed, saying this will be the perfect place for a Bush Dance. The teens aren't keen on a Bush Dance but Kate thinks it's a great idea and decides to go for it, though none of the teens look particularly enthused.

Church
Father Guidotti asks Vanessa to give her vows, but she can't go through with it, and runs off. Francesca runs after her and promises Lucas that she'll bring Vanessa back.

Lucas angrily grapples Rhys, furious with what he's done, but Rhys tells him that Vanessa doesn't love him. Lucas pushes Rhys away.

Number 32
Francesca orders Vanessa to return the church. Vanessa says she can't marry Lucas because she doesn't love him, they were never a couple and only pretended to be together. She tells her mother that she had a one night stand with Lucas and got pregnant, and tells her that she was in love with Rhys. Francesca says she disgraced herself today, and her whole family. She says Vanessa's no longer a member of this family, and leaves.

Erinsborough High Exterior
Harley throws a wee girly tantrum because the Bush Dance sounds lame and pathetic. He tells Rani that the school social will be lame, but they'll just have to have a good after party. She suggests going to Callum's, but he wants somewhere away from everyone else, so they can have some fun. Ajay arrives to collect Rani.

Number 32
Lucas overhears Vanessa leaving a message to her mother, saying the baby needs the chance to know its grandparents. Lucas tells her not to worry; her mum will come around in time. Vanessa thinks she's lost her whole family.

Number 26
Kyle asks Rhys what all that was about. Rhys thinks he was right - Vanessa couldn't go through with her vows because she loves him. Kyle says he's reading too much into it, she probably just realised that it was wrong to marry Lucas. Rhys wants to go over and see Vanessa, Kyle tries to stop him.

Number 32
Lucas tells Vanessa that she'll always have his support. Vanessa tells him she's so sorry for putting him through all of this.

Number 26
Kyle tells Rhys to give Vanessa some time, but Rhys won't wait. He's going to get Vanessa to admit she loves him.

Ramsay Street
Vanessa is standing outside Number 32 when Rhys marches over.

RHYS: I couldn't wait. What you did today was brave, incredibly brave. I know what your family means to you but what we have is so much more. I knew you never stopped loving me, I knew you couldn't go through with it.
VANESSA: You wrecked my wedding to prove a point?
RHYS: I just showed up, you're the one who walked away. You walked away because you don't want to be with Lucas...
VANESSA: How dare you? How dare you make this all about you?
RHYS: Vanessa this is our chance...
VANESSA: I lost my family today, my mother disowned me, she disowned my baby. My father and brother never want to see me again and all you can think about is getting what you want.
RHYS: It's what we both want, you know it is.
VANESSA: For weeks all you've done is ignore me. Never once have you told me you love me.
RHYS: I shouldn't have had to.
VANESSA: How can you waltz in here and expect me to take you back when you never had the guts to tell me how you felt when things were hard. That's not love! You arrogant pathetic coward, Rhys! If that's what your love is, I don't want it.

Rhys walks away.
