Harold's
Priya and Ajay discuss the Simmons and Colbert job situation. Ajay is thinking of calling Charlotte and dropping out of the process, as Toadie's a mate and he doesn't want to screw him over - but at the same time, he knows he'd be missing out on a great opportunity. At this point Toadie comes in. He wants to talk to Ajay and Priya about how Callum and Rani are dealing with Sophie's injuries. Both are apparently very upset, and Toadie suggests they all get together and do something to take the kids' minds off it.
Ramsay Street
Toadie and Callum meet with the Kapoors to play some cricket in the street. Toadie tells Ajay he's sure the job at Simmons and Colbert is in the bag, and that he's looking forward to working with him. Feeling guilty, Ajay tells Toadie the truth: that he's applying for Charlotte's job too. But Toadie isn't concerned: he tells Ajay that they have to have some external candidates, but that he's confident Charlotte will give Toadie the job.

Rhys reports for duty, to Karl's surprise. He tells Rhys he should be at home recuperating, but Rhys begs him for something to do. Karl says he can run clinic if he wants, and Rhys unenthusiastically agrees.

Sonya and Susan go all mushy over a pile of pink baby-clothes, as Susan expresses her desire for onesies to be made for adults. Jade comes in and bluntly dismisses the clothes as frilly and ridiculous, saying that just because Sonya's having a girl, it doesn't mean she has to dress her up as a stereotypical girly Barbie doll. Jade adds that she didn't think Sonya would be that kind of mum. Sonya acts offended and Susan makes a swift exit.
SONYA: Good one.
JADE: What?
SONYA: You're scaring away my guests.
JADE: Well if she supports you on this, then good, I'm glad!
SONYA: Oh, you're just so rude!
JADE: I'm sorry Son, but you are conditioning your child to conform to a certain type of image before she's even born. I mean, that's not right!
SONYA: And you coming in here and telling me how to dress my own kid - that's alright, is it?
JADE: Oh, just turn my niece into a Stepford baby, see if I care.
Jade goes to play cricket, leaving Sonya fuming.
Ramsay Street
Jade joins Toadie, Cal, Ajay, Priya and Rani in the cricket game. While the others play, Ajay takes a call on his mobile from Charlotte: she's offered him the job! Priya congratulates him, but when he tells Toadie, he doesn't look so happy. Ajay wants to know they'll be okay with him working as Toadie's boss; Toadie says they will, but his face tells a different story. Toadie starts taking ultra-fast power-bowls at Ajay's wicket, and Ajay adds insult to injury by batting the third ball straight through Toadie's car windscreen!

Toadie takes out his anger on his insurance company over the phone, but admits to Sonya he's furious about Ajay getting the job - especially as it was he who introduced Ajay to Charlotte. Ajay comes round to offer to pay for the windscreen, telling Toadie he feels bad about the job. But Toadie follows Sonya's advice and suggests they just move on. Charlotte calls, to ask if they can both go into the office to discuss the handover. Ajay offers to drive Toadie in.
Lassiter's Lake
The cricket game has relocated, and Kyle has joined in too. When the ball goes in the lake and Rani is unwilling to wade in and get it, Jade opines that she's surprised Rani was playing cricket at all. Priya knows what she means, and says Rani's a bit of a princess. Priya says it's ironic, because when Rani was growing up she wouldn't give her dolls, or toy kitchens, or read her fairy stories. Instead, she gave her building blocks and overalls, but Priya says it made no difference: kids will only be themselves, no matter what you do. Jade starts to feel guilty for laying into Sonya.
Erinsborough Hospital
Since Rhys has been running clinic, Karl tells him that, according to the pathology and radiology departments, he's ordered up a week's worth of various scans and tests within about an hour and a half, most of which are completely unnecessary. Rhys admits he's overdoing it and says he's frustrated and wants to be back in surgery, but has to wait a week for the test on his hand. Karl says he'll pull some strings, and see if they can get the test done today instead.
Simmons and Colbert
Toadie gives Ajay a rundown of how things work at the firm, and Ajay thanks him for being so helpful. He says he'll be relying on Toadie's expertise for the first few weeks - but then proves otherwise by starting to make immediate changes to how things are run.
No 30
Toadie complains to Sonya that Ajay is making changes before he's even started work, and that he wishes he was the one implementing it all. Jade comes in, and Toadie heads down to the men's shed. Jade has been shopping and bought Sonya a pair of sparkly pink bootees for the baby. It's her way of saying she may have overreacted about the clothes before; she tells Sonya that Jellyfish will be whoever she wants to be. Sonya admits she's bought as many blue clothes as pink anyway, and all is resolved.
Charlie's
Rhys calls by to see Vanessa and tells her about the test on his hand being brought forward. He asks if she wants to come with him, but Margie hasn't shown up for her shift so she can't. He admits he's worried that he could be out of surgery for another six months if the test results don't go his way, but Vanessa says even if he is, he'll catch up. They agree to meet up later.
Erinsborough Hospital
Karl has Rhys's test results, but it's not good news. He tells Rhys he has severe nerve damage, and that surgery isn't a viable option. All three specialists who have reviewed the results agree: there is only a five per cent chance of a full recovery. Rhys is devastated, and convinced his career is over. Karl reminds him there is still a chance he'll recover but Rhys doesn't want to hear any more, and leaves.

A furious Rhys throws a pile of surgery books off the desk in the front room, and flings his 'Dr Rhys Lawson' nameplate onto the floor.
