This week on Neighbours
- Toadie and Sonya being given the chance to find out the sex of Jellyfish.
- Chris deciding he's going to stand up for himself.
- Rhys coming across an accident.
Previously on Neighbours
- Andrew selling the app.
- Lou telling Lucas to tell Vanessa how he feels.
- Lucas finding an engagement ring in Rhys' bag.
Charlie's
Lou is surprised to see Lucas in the bar as he's been avoiding home all day so he could spend time with Vanessa. Lucas explains that he discovered an engagement ring in Rhys' bag so he didn't declare his love to her; he saw no point in doing so. Lou sees it as not a barrier, but giving her an alternative, telling Lucas that Vanessa won't be pushed into doing anything.
LOU: Go tell her that you love her.
Lucas doesn't want to because he feels if he says something and she turns him down, and she comes back engaged from Japan, things are going to be very uncomfortable. He admits that the only way he will ask her is if he knows for certain that she won't marry Rhys, and Lou has an idea on how he can find that out - he will subtly find out.
LUCAS: You don't know the meaning of the word subtle!
LOU: You just leave it to Uncle Lou eh!
LUCAS: ...
LOU: It's not as though you've got any other options!
Number 22 (next day)
Its Andrew's birthday and Paul hands over his pressie (some type of groovy bag) before Chris comes calling not just to wish him happy birthday but to scrounge brekkie too (his parents are away and he's already cleared the fridge out). Tash calls but Andrew doesn't take the call, he wants to wait instead until he gets the cheque (it's due today) before talking to her.
Harold's Store
Lou enters and heads straight to the counter to chat with Vanessa. Subtly he does ask her but when he goes to re-confirm her answer (she seems to be saying no to getting engaged when she's only know the guy for a few months) she sends him outside to wait for his order.
Lassiters Complex
Lucas approaches Lou to find out how it went and between them they end up confused over what Vanessa would do! "I should have handled this myself in the first place," Lucas tells Lou!
Number 22
Sophie is still anti-Paul and still anti-schoolwork too so gets another lecture from him, which she totally ignores and instead buys herself a ticket for some concert (The Jezabels) online. Just as she's finished the transaction, Paul discovers what she's done and lays the law down to her - no gig tonight and no more bands until she starts turning in decent grades, plus she's got to stay in today to study.
Lassiters Complex
Andrew goes to check his mailbox and is happy to find the cheques for the sale of the app.
Lassiters Complex/Number 28[/b]
Andrew calls to tell Tash about the cheque but before he can do so, she tells him that the government are going to buy it off them. He decides to meet her instead to tell her, so he's going to head to #28.
Number 28
Chris and Summer enter with the birthday cake for the luncheon the teens have planned for Andrew.
(Later)
Commercial break later and Andrew arrives for his talk with Tash but is persuaded to talk after lunch since its all ready. They also give him his pressie - tickets for The Jezables that they are all going to go to tonight. Andrew is chuffed with the tickets although when he goes to get drinks from the kitchen, admits to Chris that he can't tell Tash about the sale of the app so not to spoil his birthday (Chris could sense what Andrew wanted to talk to Tash about). "What's one more day?" he asks Chris as the ladies dish lunch up.
Number 22
Sophie eventually persuades Rani to cover for her so that she can go to the gig.
Paul enters the house and spots Sophie with her bag packed and she lies saying she's off to study history with Rani. He doesn't believe her and eventually when he raids her bag, discovers that she was planning on going to the gig and reaffirms that she isn't getting because she is grounded.
Andrew comes home as Paul is laying down the law (again) to her and as if to rub salts in her wounds, mentions that he is going to the gig.
Ramsay Street
Chris is trying to persuade Tash that she doesn't need to take a massive bag full of stuff with her to the gig but she is insistent and asks Chris to open the boot. Andrew isn't amused to see Ed rock up with Summer too (Tash invited him) and while they discuss the app (or in Andrew's case refusing to talk about it now), Sophie manages to sneak out of the house and into the boot of Chris' car unseen by them all.
Lassiters Complex
Its Lucas' turn to have a subtle word with Vanessa but it fails miserably as it becomes quite clear that she wants to be with Rhys despite the complication of her having his child. When she checks if it's still okay for him to take them to the airport, he lies saying that he has stuff to do at the garage but she doesn't pick up a reason behind his sudden change of mind.
Road somewhere
The teens are travelling towards the gig when someone's phone goes off but they can't work out whose ringtone it is. Ed thinks it could be coming from the boot, so Chris pulls over and they discover their stowaway. They aren't impressed at what Sophie's done but reluctantly (and against Chris' wishes and the fact it's illegal since she'll have to sit on Sum's lap/have no seatbelt) they are forced to take her because they can't leave her/take her home/get alternative transport organised.
They eventually get going and talking about when The Jezabels will be on and Andrew mentions he wrote it down on his ticket which is in his wallet, inside Sum's bag. As sum goes into Andrew's wallet, she discovers the cheque for Tash and asks him about it. He wants her to hand it over when she then discovers his cheque and how much each is for!
TASH: What have you done?
ANDREW: ...
(Later)
Commercial break later and Tash and Andrew are arguing over him selling the app against her wishes. Ed pipes up to ask how he could sell it without Tash given she's a signatory to any sale. This then leads to an escalation in the arguing between Andrew/Tash. Sum suggests to Chris that he pulls over but instead pleads for them to calm down, which totally falls on deaf ears.
TASH: What did you do, forge my signature?
Andrew's silence says it all and the others can't believe it. Tash tells Chris to stop the car immediately and is told to calm down by Andrew and in turn he yells at Chris to carry on. "Will you guys settle down," Chris shouts back but it again falls on deaf ears as Tash announces she's going to call the police. Andrew reaches back to prevent her from doing so but his actions cause Chris to lose control of the car and ultimately it runs off the road. The car crashes through a road sign and some shrubbery before it rolls over a few times and comes to a rest upside down.
Tomorrow on Neighbours
- The aftermath of the crash.
- Rhys coming across the accident and summoning assistance.
- Paul finding out about the accident.
