Ajay and Priya unpack their possessions. Priya's concerned that it doesn't feel like home, but Ajay tells her it will do, and the important thing is that they and Rani are together. They kiss. Ajay suggests they throw a housewarming barbecue tomorrow, to get to know the neighbours. Priya says they've not even unpacked yet and is worried they'll make a bad impression, but Ajay tells her it would be a great idea.
(Next day)
Ramsay Street
Andrew is collecting the newspaper. Rani spies Callum from No 24 and runs down to meet him; Andrew is amused as Cal sprays breath freshener in his mouth and makes out he's exercising to impress her. He offers her a hand with all the heavy stuff as they move in, but she says it's mostly done. Rani invites him to the housewarming barbecue and he tries to play it cool, saying he'll come if he's not too busy. When she goes back inside, Callum does a celebratory jig in the road, and Andrew laughs.
No 24
Karl is the first to arrive for the barbecue. Ajay reassures Priya that it will all be fine, but she still has her reservations.
Later, in the back garden, Ajay sees Rani talking to Callum and asks her to go inside and help Priya. Andrew observes with interest, and he and Chris wander over to talk to Callum about his strategy with Rani: Andrew says he might be able to help, even if Chris doesn't have much experience! Callum admits he thought he was doing everything right, as Rani has been laughing at his jokes. But Andrew tells him he needs to concentrate on winning Ajay's respect before he'll ever have a chance with Rani.

Paul calls Sophie downstairs to talk to her. He tells her he doesn't want her getting her hopes up that he and Zoe will stay together long-term. Sophie thinks he's worried about Zoe leaving him, and tells him to stop stressing. Andrew comes in, and after Sophie leaves, Paul admits to Andrew he's breaking up with Zoe but is having trouble telling Sophie. Andrew isn't surprised and tells him he should have thought of that weeks ago when they first discussed it. Paul promises he will fix it and that he will 'phase Zoe out slowly' to give Sophie time to adjust.
Soon after, Zoe turns up with a bottle of wine. Paul is surprised as they hadn't arranged anything but Zoe says Sophie invited her to the Kapoors' barbecue. Paul has no intention of going over there because he hates Ajay so much, but Sophie says he should make the effort because Rani's her best friend.
PAUL: I thought Callum was your best friend?
SOPHIE: Well yeah, but you hate Toadie as well!
Despite his protestations, Sophie and Zoe talk Paul into going to the barbecue.

Paul, Zoe and Sophie arrive - Rani is a little surprised to see Paul. Toadie and Sonya turn up shortly afterwards.
TOADIE: Wow, wouldn't have put any money on that you would be here today.
PAUL: Letting bygones be bygones. That's what adults do, Jarrod.
TOADIE: That's why I didn't think you'd be here, Paul.
Sonya giggles and Paul walks off, as Zoe introduces herself to Sonya and Toadie. On learning she's Paul's girlfriend, Toadie offers her help from escaping his mind control! Rani comes back with a camera, and Paul grimaces as he's forced to pose with Zoe.
In the garden, Callum sidles over to Ajay for some barbecue-talk, advising him that steak retains its juice if it's turned every twenty seconds. Grateful for the tip, Ajay quickly hands his apron to Callum and asks him to take over the cooking!
Indoors, Priya and Ajay discuss Paul's surprise appearance, then make small-talk with Sonya. Karl comes in and complains about Andrew's choice of music, suggesting that a live performance by the Right Prescription might be preferable. Ajay's not sure because Paul's here, but Priya tells Ajay to play if he wants to.
Sure enough they shortly treat the guests to a rendition of 'Everybody Let's Get Happy' in the garden, during which Toadie tells Priya everyone's glad the Kapoors have moved into Ramsay Street. Priya thanks him and says she hopes there's no bad feeling over their beating Lucas in the auction, but Toadie reassures her it's fine. He tells her Ramsay Street is a great place to live, and Priya is beginning to agree.
Zoe and Sonya chat on the sofa, but Paul's eager to leave. On the way out, Priya speaks to him about Sophie and her schoolwork. Paul says he's handling it, but Zoe takes over and starts telling Priya how they've devised a time management programme for Sophie. Paul is visibly annoyed that she's interfering again, and insists they leave. Outside, he demands to know what Zoe's playing at.

Zoe says she's not going to apologise for taking an interest in Paul's family. But he's had enough, and tells her he's breaking up with her - it's not working. Slowly it dawns on Zoe that this isn't about her comments to Priya, but about the fact that she failed to get Paul his newspaper back, and now he's done using her. She's furious, telling him she wanted to keep work separate from their personal life but that he insisted on combining the two. Upset, Zoe leaves, asking Paul to say goodbye to Sophie for her.

In the garden, Callum is so keen to impress Ajay that he's even cleaned the barbecue. It seems to be working, and Ajay shakes his hand, thanking him for his help. Cal tells Andrew and Chris he's now going to take the opportunity to talk to Rani while he helps her clear up; but when he offers, Ajay tells him not to worry - he's helped enough already.
ANDREW: You could always ask Ajay out on a date.
CALLUM: Shut up!
Inside, once everyone has gone home, Priya admits Ajay was right and she's glad they went ahead with the housewarming. She also says that although she's been a bit tense, he was right about the house as well and she's glad they moved into Ramsay Street. Ajay's not listening though - he's fast asleep on the sofa.

Sophie comes in and Paul asks her to sit down. He explains he broke up with Zoe, because it wasn't working out. Sophie quickly assumes Paul's to blame and demands to know what he's done. He tells her it's been building up for a while but she's not buying it, and walks off, upset.
Later, Sophie is about to call Zoe and ask her what happened, but Paul stops her and says he'll explain. Paul lies and tells Sophie that Zoe's the one who broke it off. He makes out he's upset and, when Sophie offers to call her and talk her round, Paul says not to as Zoe was pretty adamant it was over. Sophie apologises and hugs Paul. When she leaves the room, he looks guilty.
