Ramsay Street
Jade greets Kate enthusiastically, while Kate looks uncomfortable. They chat briefly, then Jade asks if she wants to catch up. Kate says yes, so Jade says to give her ten minutes. When she discovers Kyle will be there, Kate says she's working, so Jade says she'll come and see Kate at her work to get a drink. Kate agrees and says she'll call. She looks concerned.

No 24
Lucas and Vanessa are talking about his gambling. Kate comes in and clearly feeling like the third wheel, says she has to get ready for work. Lucas says he's got it under control as long as he avoids his triggers: money trouble, cup weekend, family.

LUCAS: Mine, not ours. Not that we're family.
VANESSA: We are absolutely. You're part of the baby's life.

Lucas wonders if she still wants that now she knows the truth, but she says she likes that he's honest. Lucas asks what her deepest, darkest secrets are, now she knows his. She says her life's an open book, but when Lucas presses her, she confesses she hasn't been in a relationship for more than three months. Her other secret: she needs something sweet at least once a day. Lucas laughs...

Harold's
...and he and Vanessa are eating dessert. She tells Lucas she wanted to be a nun, but that would have meant not kissing boys and chocolate once a week! A woman comes in. Vanessa recognises her from yoga class, and asks Lucas if he wants an introduction. He reminds her that the last time he brought a girl home, it was a disaster. Vanessa says that was her fault, and she promises that this time she won't even be there if he wants to bring someone home.

Charlie's
Kate looks at her phone, debating whether to call Kyle. She cancels and puts the phone down. She asks Tash to take an order. Troy is sitting by the bar. He greets her as she passes, but she ignores him and he tuts. Rhys orders another drink, and asks Kate if she has a sarcastic comment about him being alone. Kate asks if he was stood up, or she had a better offer. Rhys replies that she is having a quiet night in. Kate thinks that's better than being out with Rhys. He reminds her that Vanessa is pregnant so Kate says that's why she's spending so much time with Lucas. Rhys says it's just the two of them then.

KATE: Ooh, lucky me(!)

Troy watches Kate as she sorts out the till.

No 28
Karl scoffs at a book he finds: "Women are from earth, men are from space". Summer says it's research. There's a knock at the door, and he complains that it's dinner time. It's Chris, which Karl says is perfect timing! Karl has done enough for everyone. He answers the phone to Mal, while Summer dishes out the meal.

SUMMER: (to Chris) You need to eat fast.
CHRIS: Why, so that I can have seconds before Karl comes back?

Summer explains that she needs help with her Dear Sally column. Chris says he's been at work, but Summer says she has a deadline, and she's stuck. She gives him her "wounded puppy" look. Summer says she's freaking out and it's due tomorrow morning. She begs him to look at her first draft. Chris sighs and says that's the only reason she invited him.

SUMMER: Did I mention there's cake?

That appears to be sufficient to persuade Chris, and Summer is happy.

Charlie's
Rhys asks Kate what's wrong. First she says everything is fine, but when she starts telling him, his phone rings. It's obviously Vanessa and he says he will come round and pick her up. He tells Kate that his night is looking up.

Troy is at a table and twice tries to attract Tash's attention, but she ignores him again. Kate asks if she's going to take his order. Tash says he gets a kick out of intimidating people and she's going to serve another table outside. She tells Kate to serve him. Kate goes over and Troy is pleased that someone is speaking to him. He orders a meal and they smile each other as EvilMusic™ plays.

(After the break) Kate brings his meal over, and Troy thanks her for before.

KATE: I'm just doing my job.
TROY: Unlike Tash.
KATE: She's been busy.
TROY: Happens a lot around here. Everyone's busy as soon as they lay eyes on me.

Kate goes back behind the bar. Tash approaches and says Kate must be desperate for conversation. Kate tells her Troy is a customer, and Tash should try being polite sometimes. Tash says that she won't serve him. Kate says he hasn't done anything wrong and Tash says to ask Sonya. Troy is listening in. Kate says she can't refuse to serve someone for personal reasons. Tash says that she thought that Jade was Kate's best friend and asks if she even cares about their family. Kate protests that she does and before walking off, Tash retorts that they have different ideas about friendship. Troy frowns as he hears what she says.

No 24
Sara (the woman from yoga class) and Lucas are having a glass of wine. She wants to see Lucas's camera. She wants to know what he takes pictures of, and he says whatever he wants. She wants to see them [the modern version of etchings, obviously] and Lucas says maybe on the second date. She says that he's confident, before kissing him. Vanessa walks into something, dressed in just a towel. She apologises, saying she was looking for an earring. Sara wants to know what she's doing there. Lucas says they live together.

VANESSA: Not like that! I'm... his sister.

Lucas looks a bit taken aback.

No 28
Chris and Summer are working on a letter to "Wistful in Waratah" for the Dear Sally column. Chris is out of ideas.

SUMMER: What's the first thing that comes to mind?
CHRIS: Cake.

Summer tries Chris with a problem about her, but he comes up with an answer which she says is boring. They agree the problems are too bland, and they need some dating disasters. She asks who has the worst love life of anyone they know.

No 24
Vanessa comes into the kitchen area, and Lucas challenges her about telling Sara she was his sister. Vanessa says it was the first thing she thought of - she just wanted to make it clear they weren't together. She explains that she had only come back to change before she went out with Rhys. There's a knock on the door. Vanessa goes to get her bag, but it's Chris, not Rhys. Lucas says he needs to talk to Vanessa . Sara says she should go, but Chris says no, and they chat about how they know Lucas. Meanwhile Lucas tells Vanessa to tell the truth, which she says would be too compicated and that Lucas should make things up if Sara asks about their childhood. Chris tells Sara that Lucas and Vanessa are probably talking about the baby. Sara is shocked and Chris says it's kind of weird. Sara says they're family, and Chris says that they're not a couple. She gets up and leaves, and Lucas looks over at Chris, looking puzzled.

Charlie's
Kate comes to clear Troy's table. He thanks her and says the dish was "spot on". She doesn't answer, and he asks if he's offended her. She says he hasn't, and he says he doesn't want to cause trouble, he just wants to spend time with his son. Kate tells him that Cal is a great kid, which Troy agrees with, and Sophie's best friend, which Troy says he has no intention of getting in the way of. Kate says that after what happened with Toadie... Troy interrupts and says that Toadie hit him, but somehow he's still the bad guy. Kate says that if he let Toadie come home, people might be more open, but Troy says he only cares about Cal's opinion and that Cal knows he loves him. Kate replies that loving someone is not a "get out of jail free" card. Troy wonders if Kate still means him.

No 24
Lucas slaps Chris over on the back of his head and Chris apologises, but says he had no idea. Vanessa admits that posing as Lucas's sister may not have been a good idea(!) Lucas agrees, so Vanessa promises to tell the truth. Lucas is not sure about that either: maybe he just repels women.

VANESSA: It's me who's caused most of the problem.
LUCAS: It's almost as if you've done it deliberately.
CHRIS: It doesn't sound as if you needed any help!
LUCAS: Weren't you just going?

As Chris leaves, Rhys arrives and he and Vanessa leave.

No 28
Chris has told Summer about Lucas, who was freaked out by what happened. Summer thinks it is fantastic and perfect for the column. Chris says would kill him if they put it in, but Summer says he doesn't have to know. Lucas would never read the advice column. Anyway, he sounds like he needs some help. Chris protests some more, but Summer decides to go ahead, changing his name to Kevin.

Charlie's
Tash says her shift is over, and refuses to help Kate pack up unless she gets extra pay. Troy comes over and asks if he's missed last drinks. Kate says he has, and sighs over a mistake she's made with the float. He asks if she's always so hard on herself, and she replies that someone else will be if not her. They chat a while longer and she finds that the accounts balance after all. She tells Troy he's not what she expected: army guys are usually the silent type. He asks if she wants to talk. She tells him that there was a man: and she put herself out there when she shouldn't have. She adds that she has to tidy up. He offers to help with the heavy lifting. She refuses at first but then agrees. They carry on talking, and Troy says that he has to try to be part of Callum's life or he'll regret it. There's a knock at the door. Kate tells Troy they often get people wanting to come in after the doors are locked. It's Jade, who wants to catch up for the drink. She asks Troy what he's doing there. Kate says he's helping her. Jade says if he doesn't leave, she'll call the police. Troy leaves. Kate asks Jade what's going on. Jade asks if Troy had hurt her. Kate says that she's fine: Troy was just talking and helping - he seemed really nice. Jade tells her that Troy seems all charming and then you end up in hospital. She goes on to say that she used to be Troy's girlfriend and that he had convinced her that what happened with Sonya was her fault. Jade apologises for not telling Kate earlier. They hug.

Tomorrow on Neighbours
- Kate throws Troy out of Charlie's
- Jade tells Troy that the reason he got rid of Toadie was that Callum doesn't want anything to do with him
- Callum decides to spend time with Troy to try to get Toadie home
- Jade reminds Sonya that Troy is manipulative.
- Jade is distressed
