Tash, Summer and Chris are having breakfast.

TASH: Hey, you want another slice?
CHRIS: Oh, yeah, thanks.
SUMMER: Are you going for a record?!
CHRIS: Not officially!

Karl comes in from his jog and Tash asks if she and Ed can work on their maths theory in the men's shed today. He agrees. Tash and Chris head out. Summer rolls her eyes at being left to clean up again.

KARL: I'll have a word with her when she gets back.
SUMMER: No, you won't.
KARL: I beg your pardon?
SUMMER: I'm sorry, but you won't! She's got you wrapped around her little finger.
KARL: She has not!
SUMMER: Then how come she always gets away with leaving mess everywhere?
KARL: What's really going on here?
SUMMER: Nothing! I'm just sick of tidying up after her, that's all.

Garage
Chris tells Andrew that Tash is running a blackjack table at the Men's Shed. He looks interested and says he might wander down there. He tells him not to tell Lucas. Lucas overhears and gets suspicious, so they are forced to tell him. he says it's fine.

Over a musical montage (why?) Lucas works at the garage and thinks about the gambling at the Men's Shed. He finally takes out his phone and rings Gamblers' Anonymous to ask if there's a meeting on today.

Harold's Store
Rhys comes in for lunch and he sits down with Kyle. Kyle is surprised to see Rhys and Vanessa getting on well and thinks it's nice. Jade is apparently coming home this weekend.

KYLE: Don't worry about it getting to heavy with Vanessa. Once she finds out about the real you, she'll come to her senses(!)

Gamblers' Anonymous Meeting
Lucas is telling the meeting that he's fine, but today he realised how easy it would be to slip back into gambling.

Harold's Store
Vanessa and Rhys make smalltalk about food.

Rhys tells Vanessa a little about his dad - he was a property developer, obsessed with his work. Rhys thinks he's just as selfish.

Lucas explains he's freaked out at the prospect of becoming a parent.

Harold's Store
Rhys tells Vanessa that his father was seeing women on the side, and then when his mother got sick, he walked out on her. Vanessa doesn't think Rhys will turn out the same way.

RHYS: You're probably the first person who's ever thought that.
VANESSA: Maybe I bring out your good side.
RHYS: I wasn't aware I had one!

Lucas tells the meeting he's not sure how things will work out wtih vanessa - she doesn't even know about his gambling addiction.

Harold's Store
vanessa invites Rhys out to dinner tonight, and he agrees.

Lucas finishes his story and thanks the others for listening.

Men's Shed
Ed and Tash welcome a load of people to the blackjack game, ready to test out their maths theories. Andrew barges in and Tash protests that he's not invited. He is insistent, though, and says he could always dob them in to Lucas or Karl(!)

TASH: Remind me to kill my friend Chris when I see him next!

Outside the Community Centre
Lucas bumps into vanessa on his way out of the GA meeting. He doesn't tell her what he was doing, but she sees the schedule on the board.

Harold's Store, later
Kyle comes in for cake and Vanessa asks him how long it took for him to really open up to Jade. He says it took a while. She says she knows more about Rhys from two dates than she does about the father of her child. Kyle says that Lucas will probably tell her about his GA meetings if she asks him. Vanessa is quite shocked that Kyle already knows - does everyone know but her?

No.28
Summer is compiling some videos for the Erinsborough News website. Karl doesn't think they are particularly funny, however it has had 5 million hits on YouTube.

KARL: Paul actually pays you to do this?!
SUMMER: Yes!

Summer says it's all about driving traffic to the Erinsborough News website and Karl promises to look at her videos later.

Men's Shed
Tash is the dealer for the blackjack game, while Ed frantically takes notes of the proceedings. Andrew ends up winning most of the cash.

Ed reports to Tash that the bank always wins - they're on course to double their money.

As the game continues, Lucas bursts in and closes down the game. Although he said he was OK with the game earlier, he isn't happy with them using the Men's Shed as a venue. He's the owner and what he says goes - everyone gets their money back, and they all must leave immediately. Ed says it doesn't matter - they've got the stats they wanted.

Charlie's
Tash is moaning about Lucas closing down the game/maths experiment. She explains to Andrew that the house always wins and he looks interested.

Harold's Store
Rhys and another doctor come in moaning about kids at the hospital - Rhys says they could do with games consoles as an anaesthetic. Karl suggests they show them the videos on the Erinsborough New website. Rhys is surprised at Karl being so "cutting edge" and looks up the site on his phone.

Karl brings Summer chocolate cake to apologise for not being firmer with Tash about the tidiness of the house. Also he thanks her for drawing his attention to the videos on the Erinsborough News website.

Tash breezes in and tries to eat some of SUmmer's chocolate cake(!) Karl tells her firmly to go and clean up her mess. Summer looks pleased and tucks into her cake.

No.24
Vanessa is ironing when Lucas comes in. She asks him straight out about the gambling. He says he just didn't have reason to bring it up.

VANESSA: The fact that the father of my baby has a problem with gambling...
LUCAS: *Had* a problem.
VANESSA: How bad was it?
LUCAS: It was pretty bad. Got into debt with the wrong people, did some stupid things. But that's a long time ago now.
VANESSA: So how often do you go to the meetings?
LUCAS: When I need to.
VANESSA: And you needed to today?
LUCAS:(shortly) Yes.
VANESSA: You could have just told me, you know.
LUCAS: Yeah, that's a really easy conversation to start, 'Hi, nice to meet you, I'm a gambling addict!'
VANESSA: It's not as bad as, 'Hey, remember me? Guess what, I'm pregnant and you're the father!'

He laughs.

LUCAS: I don't know, reckon it's a draw.
VANESSA: So, today, the meeting, it helped?
LUCAS: Yeah.
VANESSA: If you want to talk about it...
LUCAS: No, you need to get ready.
VANESSA: Yeah, but I want to make sure you're OK.
LUCAS: I'm fine.
VANESSA: Lucas...
LUCAS: Seriously. I'm a pro at this.

Rhys is nearly ready to leave for his date with vanessa. But as he picks up some flowers he's bought for her, she calls to cancel. He is disappointed, but doesn't say anything.

No.24
Vanessa tells Lucas that she's decided to stay in tonight instead. She wants to spend the evening chatting with Lucas - not necessarily about GA, she just wants to get to know him better. Lucas tells her he went to GA today because Andrew and Chris were talking about an underground card game.

Rhys tells Kyle that Vanessa has cancelled their date. He is angry that Kyle has eaten the leftover chicken curry and stomps off.

- Kate and Rhys talk about his cancelled date with Vanessa.
