Previously on Neighbours
- Vanessa tells Sonya that she had thought about having kids at some point, when she was in her 30s.
- Lucas tells Sonya that Vanessa is happy he's staying away
- Kate tells Lucas to deal with the consequences.
- Tash encourages Summer to go to Red Cotton's gig, to show that she's moving on from Andrew
- Griffin and Summer kiss at the gig.
Andrew passes on the earnings from the gig to Griffin. Paul is impressed with how much money they made. As Paul leaves, Chris enters. Andrew says he knows Chris was dancing on a podium last night, as Tash sent him the photos.
Tash is frustrated as more visitors walk through the house to view the property. Summer comes in to chat to Tash. Summer tells Tash that Andrew saw her kissing Griffin. Tash says it's a good thing that she's moving on.
Andrew tells Chris the gig went well but doesn't say anything about Summer. Griffin asks Andrew if they're cool about last night, Andrew says it's all water under the bridge.
Vanessa has morning sickness, and the mere offer of food from Kate starts to turn her stomach. Lucas comes in, but decides to get a coffee elsewhere when he sees Vanessa, despite Kate's efforts to get him to talk to her. Kate tells Vanessa that she's welcome to stay with them until she finds a job. Vanessa is thankful, and enquires about the resume she left last week. Kate says she hasn't heard anything but she can do something about it.
Vanessa is now working at Harold's as casual staff. Kate talks her through working in a kitchen, but soon realises Vanessa is an expert. As Kate leaves, Vanessa is put off by the box of salami
Tash and Chris are discussing last night, Tash says her feet are killing her, and she's glad that she and Aidan managed to drag Chris up on the dance floor, although Chris isn't happy about Tash sending the photos to everyone as they're up on facebook already. Tash bans Chris from checking his phone while they're talking, Chris is waiting for Andrew to call him as he was acting weird this morning. Tash tells Chris that Andrew saw Summer and Griffin kissing, Chris is surprised that Andrew didn't tell him. They note that Andrew would normally be doing something to make Summer jealous. Chris leaves to talk to Andrew.
Vanessa serves Rhys a sandwich, he's pleasantly surprised with how big the sandwich is. Vanessa says it tastes as good as it looks and she'll be offended if he doesn't eat it. While Vanessa cleans up other tables, picking up a pair of plates with left over bacon on them, Sonya comes by to chat. Vanessa tells Sonya how wonderful Kate is being, letting her stay with her. Vanessa soon feels nauseous, and tells Sonya she's going to throw up, running around the back of Harold's.
Sonya comes home, and picks up some pregnancy books from the shelves, looking thoughtfully.
Sonya brings Vanessa the pregnancy books, giving her some advice about morning sickness.
VANESSA: Well I'll think of you every time I don't throw up on someone.
Sonya leaves looking a bit upset as Lucas enters. He questions Vanessa about what she said to Sonya, she says morning sickness, and Lucas tells Vanessa to stay away from her. He explains that Sonya has been trying for a baby for ages, and she doesn't need Vanessa rubbing it in her face.
Sonya is resting on a bench, as Vanessa joins her. Vanessa apologises, and they begin chatting about babies and joking about all the difficulties of being pregnant. Vanessa tells Sonya to go put on a party dress and do all the things that she can't. Sonya thanks her for the pep talk.
Lucas gets off the phone with Sonya who says she's alright now. Lucas joins Chris who's working on a car. Chris thinks its great that Lucas is letting Vanessa stay with him, as it'll be good for the two of them to spend time together under one roof, but soon realises that Lucas wants him to stop talking about it.
Andrew arrives, Chris asks why Andrew didn't say anything about Summer and Griffin. Andrew explains he doesn't have the right to be upset because he hooked up with another girl at Tash's party. Chris encourages Andrew to tell Summer how he feels about seeing Griffin, but Andrew says he won't.
CHRIS: If you want to be friends with Summer, you guys have got to be honest with each other.
Summer sees Andrew sitting in Charlies, and goes to him to explain that she didn't plan the kiss last night, and wasn't doing it to get back at him. Andrew says he understands, and jokes that she shouldn't do a Yoko Ono on him, taking Griffin away from the band. Summer goes back to work.
The other members of Red Cotton, who I don't think have names so I shall call them Beardy, Shades and Baseball cap. Beardy says that Griffin is running late, and Shades says they should wait for him. At that moment Griffin enters, apologising that he had trouble finding parking. Andrew decides to talk about the gig last night and think of ways to drum up business.
Summer is working when Griffin texts her, 'hope the boss is behaving herself today '.
Griffin gets a call from Summer. She flirts with him on the phone, talking about calling rather than texting (I don't want to go into more detail on this because the entire conversation is making me nauseous.) As Griffin organises another date with Summer, Andrew sits listening angrily.
Sonya picks out a red dress from her dry-cleaning, and calls a restaurant to make a booking for dinner tonight, something with a romantic view.
Paul sees Vanessa's working behind the counter, he calls Lyn a soft-touch for hiring a pregnant woman, but Vanessa says she's the best chef he'll ever have passed up. Tash comes in to praise the lemon tart that Vanessa made, but Paul notices that Vanessa isn't looking well and tells her to sit down. Kate and Tash rush to Vanessa's aid, as she stumbles a little and has to sit down. Kate suggests calling a taxi for the hospital and Tash offers to help her.
Kate calls Lucas, telling him that Vanessa's gone to the hospital and she could use some support right now. Lucas wanders back and forth thinking, but soon joins Chris working on a car.
Rhys takes care of Vanessa when she gets to the hospital. He asks her some questions about her condition, and asks if she has a husband or boyfriend to call, but she says there's just her.
Tomorrow on Neighbours
- Vanessa tells Rhys that Lucas is the father of the baby
- Rhys talks to Kyle about a pregnant woman who is doing it by herself, knowing that Lucas is in earshot (standing in a bin for some reason)
- Jade is annoyed that Sonya and Toadie are hitting the town while they're at home with the dog like an old couple.
- Toadie and Sonya leave Callum alone while they head out for the night. He invites Rani and Sophie around, but Rani's worried he'll make a move on her.
