Lassiter's

In his office, Paul is bombarded by phone calls.
No.32
Chris tells Tash that she must start opening the mail, in case it's a bill. She is totally uninterested.
The phone rings and it's the West Waratah Star wanting to do an article about the party! She hangs up.
Chris meanwhile has opened the mail - Tash has a fine for $611 from the police for the party. Chris offers to pay half, but Tash despairs.
No.22
Sophie is reading her apology letter to Priya aloud. Callum thinks it's a very boring letter and says she'll have to be more convincing. He suggests she joins the school working bee to show Priya that she's serious.
Paul stomps in and goes straight to his room.
Harold's Store, the following morning
Tash has read the morning paper in which Paul is front page headlines. She's not amused that Paul caused the damaged at her party.
Susan and Summer come in and tell them that Paul has fired Susan. Toadie tells her she has every right to file for unlawful dismissal. Andrew takes a different tack though, his face is set and he quietly walks out of the shop. Susan suggests that they all let things play out.
No.22
Sophie asks Paul for help with her apology letter to the school. Paul initially says he hasn't got time, but then has a look.
Andrew storms in and rants at Paul for sacking Summer. Sophie is shocked to hear that Paul set up the party fiasco and stomps off. Andrew rips up the cheque Paul gave him and throws the pieces on the ground, saying he doesn't need it!
Ramsay Street
Tash storms over to rant at Paul. She thrusts the fine for the party into his hand and says it's his responsibility to pay it. He refuses, saying Tash could have called the police herself.

Andrew is still fuming. Sophie asks him for help with her apology to the school. Maybe Red Cotton could come and play at their working bee. (Er, sorry?) Andrew doesn't think it's a goer. Sophie says she's desperate - she'll talk to Griffin herself.
Harold's Store
Griffin has come to meet Andrew and Sophie. Sophie explains about the working bee. Griffin is incredulous that they want them to play for free. Sophie says it's a way to pay them back for letting them film at the school, and it would be a good way to try out new material. Griffin eventually agrees (as if!) and Sophie looks pleased.
No.32 (Tash's room)
Tash and Chris are discussing Paul's involvement in the party fiasco.
CHRIS: I just didn't think he'd be so...
TASH: Evil?
CHRIS: Yeah!
tash's phone rings and it's the West Waratah Star again. She puts the phone down.
Tash is selling her clothes on eBay to pay the fine(!) Chris says that she'll have bills to deal with soon. She tells him she's applying for Youth Allowance which will cover it, but Chris is doubtful.
School
Sophie approaches Priya and tells her she's there for the working bee. She also apologises about smashing up the bathroom. Priya is rather surprised, however, that Sophie has organised for Red Cotton to play without asking her first.
Just then, Paul turns up. Ajay tells him to get lost. Paul says he's on the School Board. Sophie bleats at him for gate-crashing her apology. He slinks off.
(Later)
Erinsborough News
Susan tells Paul that he can't stop burying his head in the sand - the Erinsborough News's advertisers are pulling out. They're also being investigated by the Australian Press Council! If he doesn't do something, everyone will lose their jobs.
SUSAN: You've ruined the reputation of your own newspaper! If you don't do something, it *will* go under.
School
Red Cotton are playing. Oddly enough, everyone is dancing and not doing any work(!) Griffin invites Sophie up to play guitar for a song with them. Priya does not look amused.
No.32
Tash is shocked at the amount she'll get for Youth Allowance (not very much). Chris points out calmly that it's only meant to supplement income, not pay fines for noisy parties(!)
TASH: So what am I supposed to eat? Roadkill?!
Chris advises her to talk to Michael, but Tash insists that she won't. Chris says she'll have to get herself a job then.
TASH: Maybe I could cut down on how much water I use?
CHRIS: Or, you could face reality!
School
Priya sends some kids off to do jobs. Sophie comes in and asks Priya what she thought of the gig. Priya thought it was a distraction.
SOPHIE: I was just trying to say sorry for what I did to the bathroom.
PRIYA: I asked for an apology. Not another stunt where you get to be centre of attention. And until I get that, you're just not welcome at Erinsborough High.
She walks off.
Harold's Store
Paul shows Susan a special afternoon edition of the Erinsborough News with the headline, "Editor Stands Down". Susan thinks it's the right move.
PAUL: Problem is, we need a new editor now. Someone with the sort of image that the advertisers want. Someone who ticks all the right boxes. Fine, upstanding community member. Absolute stickler for the truth. Somebody who *never* gives up. General, annoying busybody.
Susan looks up.
PAUL: Yes, I'm offering the job to you, Susan.
Susan is stunned.
SUSAN: ...I'd love the job. Thank you.
PAUL: Why are you still here? You've got a paper to put out.
She gathers up her things and starts to leave.
PAUL: Oh, Susan? You might be the new editor, but it's still my paper.
SUSAN: Of course!
Erinsborough News
Susan has reinstated Summer and now is bustling around the office. Paul has packed his desk into a box and is just leaving.
SUSAN: I can take it from here, thanks, Paul.
He slinks out. Summer allows herself a little smile.
