Summer and Andrew decide to take a break from their relationship.
Tash discovers her father has moved out and decides to organise a house party.
Elaine is upset when Rhys doesn't introduce her to his friends.
Rowanoaks Special Care Facility
Rhys follows his mum back to her room. Elaine asks her son for an explanation of his earlier behaviour outside. He pretends he doesn't get on with his housemates and claims the house is a mess that he doesn't want her to see, but Elaine doesn't believe him. She accuses him of being ashamed of her just as his father was when he left them.
RHYS (angry): That is not true. I am nothing like him.
Rowanoaks Special Care Facility - Outside
Rhys takes a stroll through the gardens, pondering over his situation.
Number 22
Sophie gives Paul a call and convinces him to let her stay the night at Rani's. She heads upstairs to pack, but not before informing her cousin that he looks terrible.
Summer pops by to drop a work assignment off to Paul. There is a moments silence before Andrew politely asks how she's been. They agree to go to Tash's party as friends, and Summer heads off.
Number 32 - Tash's bedroom
Tash attempts to get Summer excited about the upcoming party by picking clothes out the wardrobe, but it's clear it's not working. Summer admits she's thinking of her relationship and reckons things might be easier if she was to avoid Andrew for a while. Tash refuses to let her back out of the party and Summer agrees to come.
Charlie's
Arriving to pick up some beer, Andrew reassures Chris that he's still going to go to the party and he and Summer have agreed to go as friends, so it will be fine.
Number 32 - Tash's bedroom
Summer however isn't convinced and feels it's going to be awkward seeing Andrew at the party. Tash can't see the difference between them taking a break and breaking up, but Summer believes it's a chance for them to both figure out what they want.
SUMMER: Once we get back together, we'll be stronger than ever.
Tash isn't convinced.
Charlie's
Chris knows that his mate isn't coping, even though he won't admit it. Chris reminds him that he doesn't have to pretend to him; he knows how much her cares about Summer.
ANDREW: Yeah, okay. Having a break sucks.
Number 32 - Tash's bedroom
Summer agrees not to let her emotions ruin Tash's party so decides she'll keep her distance from Andrew at the party.
Charlie's
Andrew believes they need to be spending more time together, not less, to sort out their issues. As they head off the bar, Andrew admits to his mate that he can't keep waiting for her.
Number 32
The boys arrive with the beer and are surprised to see Tash hasn't done anything about moving the furniture yet. Tash explains that she had to sort her outfit first and now she's done that is off to get a manicure. The boys are shocked, but are quickly put to work. She sends Chris off to get supplies and instructs Andrew and Summer to move the furniture out to the car port whilst she's gone. Summer protests that they should wait for Chris to return, but Tash tells her they don't have time.
Number 32 Drive
With most of the furniture outside, Summer appears trying to move a table on her own. Andrew rushes over to help her and tries to start a conversation but only gets one word answers in return. Trying to get her to open up he explains how he doesn't like the weirdness that's crept between them. She slowly looks up at him and gives him a small smile. Finally relaxing again, Summer informs him he can carry the desk out on his own.
Erinsborough Hospital
Rhys brings Elaine down to the hospital to meet his colleagues. They bump into Martin Chambers in the corridor and Rhys manages to persuade him to join them for a coffee.
Number 24
Rani and Sophie arrive to get ready for the party; however Kate arrives home earlier than expected. Sophie explains that they just wanted some space to chill out and grab something to eat. Kate seems happy enough with her sister's reason for popping by and heads of to her room to leave the youngsters to themselves.
Erinsborough Hospital
Martin happily chats through the surgical programme with Elaine, and explains how determined Rhys was to get on the programme. He inadvertently reveals how Rhys failed his initial exam but was enough of a mongrel to get himself back on the course. Elaine is shocked at her son's behaviour, but it is clear Martin is impressed by Rhys.
Martin finishes his coffee and heads back to work. Rhys wonders why his mother has gone quiet and she admits that she is ashamed of him and the way he has behaved. She worries about how many more lies he has been telling her, and why he just used her the way he did to show off to his senior doctors. Rhys admits to doing some lousy things. She advises her son to fix the problems he created.
Number 24
Rani worries that with Kate in the house they'll run out of time to change for the party. As Sophie reassures her friend, Kate appears, and quickly susses out what the two girls are up to. Seeing it as a way to build her relationship back with her sister, she agrees not to inform Paul and Ajay what they are up to and instead helps them get ready to party.
Number 32
Chris returns to find Tash finishing her make up. He tries to advise her not to spend the money so quickly, but she refuses to listen. Giving up, he asks after the others....
Ramsay Street
... who are busy collecting the amp from Paul's house to bring over from the party. It would appear Andrew and Summer are beginning to get on again as they joke about becoming roadies.
Number 32
Chris feels hopeful that their friends will reunite at the party, but Tash reveals that Summer is keen for a break. Chris senses that there could be trouble at the party.
Ramsay Street
Andrew asks if Summer has any music requests, but she jokes that she'd be the only one dancing to her choice of Aqua. Andrew admits he'd dance with her.
Number 32
Chris continues to worry that Andrew might mess things up with Summer and wonders if he should intervene. Tash asks him to stop talking about their friends and focus on her and her night.
Charlie's
Jade buys Kyle an Easter egg as a thank you for spending Easter with her. Rhys arrives and Kyle goes to get another round of drinks. Rhys apologises to Jade for messing her and Kyle around, but Jade isn't fussed about his apology.
JADE: That's great, but I don't care, Rhys. You and all your opinions mean nothing to me anymore.
Kyle returns with the drinks, and Rhys heads off.
Andrew and Chris arrive, Andrew is sure that Summer wants to get back together with him, but . Chris isn't sure, and warns his friend about getting hurt again.
ANDREW: All the signs are there, unless you know something I don't.
Chris reveals that Tash told him Summer wanted a break. Poor Andrew is totally confused and has no idea what's going on. He figures the only way to find out is to ask Summer once and for all.
Number 32
The boys arrive back with the ice. Andrew informs Summer he's hating the break, he wants to be able to sort it out together, but Summer doesn't agree. She feels their differences and problems are still there, and she needs time to be alone and to think.
SUMMER: I need you to understand.
ANDREW: I don't understand, but if that's what you want then I don't really have a choice do I?
Summer can say no more and leaves. Andrew lashes out on a chair, throwing it across the room.
