Summer tries to pay off Andrew's debt, but he finds it patronising
Summer suggests she and Andrew take a break.
Lassiters
Andrew greets a guest to the hotel at the front of Lassiters. As he takes the customer's bag, he's clearly still thinking about what happened with Summer.
Harold's
Susan finds Summer sitting on her own, working. Summer tells Susan that she's struggling to concentrate on work, and tells her about Andrew.
Lassiters
Paul tells Andrew that he doesn't have to be working; he could use Summer's money. Andrew insists he will pay his own debts off. Paul asks for Andrew's help to set up a facebook page.
Harold's
Summer is surprised that Andrew agreed to a break, she says she only suggested it because they seemed to be having the same arguments over and over again.
SUSAN: A break doesn't have to be a bad thing. Maybe you could use this time apart to work out what you want and who you are. You don't want to get to my age and realise you haven't done that. And it doesn't have to mean it's the end.
SUMMER: Yeah, we can make it through this, maybe even stronger than ever.
Lassiter's
Paul asks Andrew again if he's able to help him with his facebook page (if he wanted to know so badly, why did he walk off at the end of the last scene without an answer?) Andrew says he's too busy working just now to think about it.
Number 30
Sonya arrives in the kitchen, putting a pregnancy test on the counter and starts a timer. She waits patiently, doing a bit of tidying and when the time is up she grabs the pregnancy test to see the results, but unfortunately she's not pregnant.
Simmons and Colbert Law Firm
Charlotte asks when Toadie's heading off home. He says he's got a few more things to do. Charlotte jokes that he's making her look bad by doing more overtime than her.
Number 30
Sonya is ready to phone Toadie but then decides against it.
Harold's
Summer is worried about seeing Andrew at Tash's party, as it'll be very awkward. Susan says it'll be fine as it the break gives them time to work this stuff out.
Susan goes to get some food from the counter, meeting Toadie who is buying chocolates for Sonya. Susan says they're a standard apology but they should help. Toadie's confused as to what he should be apologising for. Susan tells him that Sonya found out he had asked for more work, and didn't understand why he would do that. Susan encourages Toadie to talk to Sonya.
Number 30
Sonya's preparing dinner when Toadie returns. He apologises for asking for the extra work. As they're talking he does he sees the pregnancy test in the bin, he looks to Sonya who shakes her head sadly. Toadie explains at work he can get things done and people are happy with him, but at home, no matter what he does, they can't get pregnant and he's reminded he's a failure. Achieving at work is keeping him going at home, Sonya says this is back to front.
Callum starts overhearing this conversation. Sonya says he should have explained this to her earlier, and that this is not just affecting them but Callum too, as he's disappointed that Toadie isn't spending more time with him. Toadie says he misses being able to watch the footy and hang out with Callum, Callum overhears this and looks pleased.
Number 22
Paul is flipping through the contact details of students from Erinsborough High, while he is on his computer. He hears Andrew come in, so he quickly turns over the documents, and hides the webpage he's on (which is a facebook page for Conrad Jackson - with only one wall post: 'Tash's Party - Friday, April 6, 2012 at 8.00pm), and changes to his own facebook page.
Paul asks Andrew if he's going to Tash's party, he says he will but the party won't get out of hand. Andrew hands Paul more money to go towards paying off his tattoo which will be paid off after a couple more shifts. Paul takes the money and invites him and Summer would to dinner tonight, but Andrew says she can't make it as she's having dinner with Karl. Paul tells Andrew that Summer had the best intentions in offering to pay his debt, but he's proud of Andrew for doing it himself.
Paul shows Andrew his facebook profile and asks if there's an easy way to send an event notification to people by their email address, Andrew says he needs to be friends with the people to invite them. As Andrew leaves, Paul puts Conrad Jackson's page up again and clicks on add school.
Ramsay Street
Callum is playing football in the street as Lucas arrives in his van. Callum tells Lucas that he's preparing for the 'Saints v. Bombers' match at the weekend. He asks Lucas if he's going to the game as he's a member of the Saints club, and as Lucas is working at the weekend Callum asks if he could use Lucas's membership card. He tells Lucas he wants to get tickets for the game as a surprise for Toadie. Lucas agrees.
Harold's
Lucas hands Callum the membership cards. Lucas greets Susan and Summer as he leaves. Susan tells Summer that she needs a distraction and invites her to the book group tonight to discuss 'The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo.' Paul arrives and asks Susan how the article is going on, Susan refuses to chase the police merger story as there isn't anything in it. When he asks Summer how her piece is getting on, Susan tells Paul that Summer is going to the book club with her tonight. Paul says he heard that Summer was having dinner with Karl, Susan suggests that Andrew must have gotten the nights mixed up.
Number 22
When Paul quizzes Andrew about Summer, Andrew admits to Paul that he and Summer are on a break, but he doesn't want to think about it.
PAUL: Is there anything I can do?
SUMMER: Why, because you've always been such a big fan of Summer's?
PAUL: My track record in relationships has been fairly consistent. You know sometimes all you need is a bit of space.
Ramsay Street
Summer frets about why Andrew didn't tell Paul about the break. Susan says that everyone handle's things in their own way. Paul arrives and asks to speak to Susan, so Summer heads inside. Paul wants to know how to help Andrew. Susan suggests just keeping him busy, as it worked for her when she and Karl broke up.
Number 22
It's night time, Andrew looks as his phone, displaying a photo of him and Summer together (also displaying the date/time as 19.15 on Sunday 8th April: but don't worry we haven't jumped ahead 4 days and missed the party, it's just a huge continuity error.)
Number 30
Summer looks at her phone (and apparently its 19.05 on Monday 9th April: what the flip?) Sonya and Susan sit down with Summer for the book group.
Number 22
Paul shows Andrew the latest budgeting software that he got for Lassiters, and asks Andrew to have a look at it in case it could be used for Red Cotton.
Number 30
Summer talks about 'The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo' - which apparently is about two people who wanted to be together but they had a twisted history and they were different. (I've not read the book so have no idea if that is a valid interpretation or not - but my mind flashes back to when Donna and Ringo compared Shakespeare's Macbeth to their own trivial love lives.) Susan and Sonya look blankly at her, and admit they haven't finished reading the book.
Number 22
Paul asks Andrew if he can get something done with the program by tomorrow, Andrew agrees to have it done by tomorrow.
Number 30
Sonya and Susan put post-it notes on their heads, and ask Summer if she wants to play 'Celebrity Heads' with them. Summer says she should go home, and says goodnight, the two of them look disappointed and take off the post-it notes.
Number 30 (next morning)
Callum tells Sonya that he's going to the game with Toadie, but Sonya breaks it to him that Toadie is working. Callum walks off upset. (Just to sum up the massive continuity errors in this episode so far: yesterday was apparently Sunday, even though Tash's party is on the Friday before and that hasn't happened yet, but today is Saturday? Of all the people involved in making Neighbours, you'd think one would notice stupid continuity errors like this.)
Simmons and Colbert Law Firm
Charlotte and Toadie are preparing for a meeting, when Anna comes in and tells Toadie that he has a visitor. Charlotte and Toadie think the clients must have arrived early, and psyche themselves up to see them. They go into the waiting room and find Callum waiting there.
CALLUM: It's only me. I'm not important.
TOADIE: Why would you think that?
CALLUM: Why wouldn't I think that? You're never at home, you're always here. You don't even care about us anymore
TOADIE: That is not true.
Callum then tells Toadie that he had planned to take him to the footy because he overheard Toadie saying it would help him de-stress. Callum tells Toadie to stay at work where he is happy and he walks off. Toadie goes back into the board room with Charlotte and asks her for the afternoon off. Charlotte tells him that it's too late to back out now
CHARLOTTE: You knew what you were taking on when you wanted these clients
TOADIE: I'm going after my son.
Tomorrow on Neighbours
