No.30
Sonya is folding laundry when Toadie comes in. He knows he's in the dog-house.
TOADIE: Sonya...babe.
She does not look up.
TOADIE: I know I should have told you. I just...I wanted to wait until we cleared the air. I felt like such a loser!
SONYA: Is that why you told Charlotte?
TOADIE: I didn't tell her, she just wouldn't let up.
SONYA: Well, neither did I, but you didn't tell me.
He sighs.
SONYA: Rhys knew the result...
TOADIE: He's our doctor!
SONYA: Oh and Charlotte is...?! This is private. Personal. I don't want her knowing this stuff about me, about us.
TOADIE: Yes, I know, and I'm sorry...
SONYA: We are supposed to be in this together!
TOADIE: Yes, we are, we're a team!
There's a knock at the door and Sonya says it'll be Kyle. She calls him in.
KYLE: G'day!
SONYA: Hi.
KYLE: This a good time?
SONYA, Yeah, yeah!
KYLE: Well, we've got a list of things to talk about, I was thinking maybe Moroccan tiles?
SONYA: Yeah, OK, I'll tell Jarrod about it later when, I um...well, when I feel like it!
There is a bit of an awkward silence. She takes Kyle off to the kitchen.
Coffee Shop
Lou is on the phone, desperate trying to organise an overdraft for $8,000 with the bank, with no success. Kyle comes in and shows Lou a picture of the tiles he wants to get for Toadie and Sonya. He's got a supplier lined up, but it won't be cheap ($10,000!) Kyle wants to look at the account, but Lou says they're very complicated. Lou says he'll talk to the supplier and see if he can make a better deal.
(Later)
Lou is on the phone to various different suppliers and talks them down to $5,500. Finally he talks to a guy called Simon who says he can have a cheaper version for $2,000.
Charlie's
Karl gets a phone-call from an old friend called John. It's not good news. Susan is also there buying a bottle of wine and he tells her that his friend Jimmy Edwards has died - he was the drummer in The Right Prescription back in the day. The funeral is tomorrow, and Susan says she'll go with him. Karl thanks her.
As Susan is leaving, Jessica comes in and Karl tells her about Jimmy. She sympathises and offers to come along to the funeral, but he tells her he'll be fine. They agree to still have dinner tomorrow night.
Funeral (next day)
Karl and Susan have arrived. There are various old friends there, including Jimmy's wife, Valerie. She tells them it's wonderful to see them again.
VALERIE: Jimmy always wanted us to be just like you two. So much in love. he's be so glad to know that you came.
SUSAN: well, we're just happy that we could be there.
(Later)
SUSAN: Did they really think we were like that? Some sort of supercouple?
KARL: I never knew. I suppose we should be flattered.
Valerie calls Karl over and asks him to play the guitar (apparently Karl didn't get the message). Karl says he'll do it - he'd be honoured.
Coffee Shop

Lou takes a tile out of the box, gives it a little tap, and it breaks in his hand(!) He gets straight back on the phone to Simon. He looks at the price again and tells Simon he'll place the order(!)
No.30
Sonya is ignoring Toadie calling her on the phone. She angrily tosses a mug into a box, breaking the handle off it. This is the last straw for poor Sonya and her face crumples. Toadie comes in.
TOADIE: Hey, I've been trying to call you! What's up.
She silently shows him the mug.
TOADIE: Aw, babe, don't worry about it, it was just an accident.
SONYA: No, it wasn't an accident, I was angry. I hate us fighting.
TOADIE: Yeah, well, you have been so good about the fact that I'm low on ammo...
SONYA: But that's not your fault...
TOADIE: And then I go and tell Charlotte the test results, so *I'm* sorry.
SONYA: I'm sorry about your mug.
TOADIE: Ah, it's from 2010, we were rubbish that year, anyway!
She smiles, wryly.
TOADIE: You know what? I'm going to take you to Darlsford. I mean, if I'm going to get stressed out doing this job, I might as well get some benefits, right?!
SONYA: What about Callum and the nursery?
TOADIE: Someone will help out. Come on, say you'll come with me. Or I'm going to be very lonely.
SONYA: I will!
They laugh and kiss.
