Emilia brings Michael a drink. Michael looks at it strangely

EMILIA: It's a soft drink, not everything I make is a potion
MICHAEL: (laughs) I know

Tash arrives and offers to cook for them tonight.

TASH: Come on dad, I haven't cooked since... since you collapsed
MICHAEL: Yeah, there's a reason for that.

Michael tells Tash she can't cook. Tash suggests trying a barbecue - Emilia agrees that it's the safest option.

Charlie's
Sonya and Toadie eagerly await Toadie's test results from the hospital. Sonya goes over to see Lucas who's collecting some take-away. Lucas is planning a beer and nachos night alone at home. He tells Sonya he doesn't need any pity and he's fine. Sonya reminds him that she and Toadie are there for him if he needs.

The All New Number 30
Sonya tells Toadie that Lucas is her friend and she's his sponsor and she wants to look out for him, but Toadie tells her to leave him alone. Despite Toadie's warnings, Sonya invites Lucas over.

(Later)
Sonya has left out a plate of healthy snacks out as Lucas arrives, she shows Lucas the new lounge, Lucas is impressed and says Kyle's done a good job. Sonya insists she wanted to invite Lucas over to show off the lounge, but he says he's going to head home. Sonya gives a quick look to Toadie who reluctantly asks for Lucas to stay for a beer.

LUCAS: So you can pat me on the head and say there there?
SONYA: That's not what this is
LUCAS: I told you I was okay
TOADIE: I know. I thought that...
LUCAS: You thought you were doing the right thing. I wish people would stop trying to do the right thing. I thought you of all people would have known better mate
TOADIE: Sorry mate
LUCAS: If I want to spill my guts, yours will be the first door I knock on, I promise. Lounge looks great.

Lucas leaves. Sonya gives a sneering look to Toadie and leaves the room, Toadie is appalled at the nerve of Sonya. He gets a phone call from the hospital saying his test results are back. He goes to the hospital immediately to get the results, leaving the house without saying a word to Sonya.

Number 32 Backyard
Tash and Michael take out supplies for Tash's barbecue.

MICHAEL: Don't worry, you can do the cooking. Just thought you could use a hand lighting the barbie
TASH: Why, because I've never used a box of matches before?
MICHAEL: No, because you've never used the barbie before.

They look around for the barbie (suspense), Michael says Emilia used it last (suspense), they head down to the barbecue and lift up the lid (suspense) camera zooms in to reveal nothing out of the ordinary.

Number 32 Frontyard
Emilia takes rubbish out to the bins, as Rhys walks past and gives Emilia some of her mail that got mixed up, unaware that the purple note with Emilia's confession on it has blown from under the garden fence (suspense!) and the note begins creeping up towards them... (okay, it's 'the wind')

Number 32 Backyard
Tash is impressed that she hasn't set fire to the deck after lighting the barbecue. Michael thanks Tash for being okay with him and Emilia, and they hug (all this schmaltz just adds to the suspense)

Number 32 Frontyard
The purple note is still lying still on the ground. Emilia asks Rhys how much he likes Ramsay Street. He says it's a bit claustrophobic, but he's able to keep to himself when he needs to. Rhys heads to work, while Emilia heads in as the purple note flutters a bit on the ground.

Erinsborough Hospital
Rhys brings Toadie in to give him his results. Rhys tells Toadie the results aren't what they were hoping for, the mobility rate is the same and the volume hasn't increased enough to be significant. Rhys is optimistic as it's still early days and tells him not to give up. He suggests scheduling another meeting in 2 weeks, but Toadie is visibly disappointed by the news.

Rhys asks if Toadie is okay, Toadie says he's fine. Rhys says it's usually better for partners to be with them for the results, which means they don't have to tell the news twice. Toadie just says that they caught them off guard with the timing. Rhys offers to talk to Sonya but Toadie says its fine.

Number 32
Tash serves up her burgers, but they find the meat is raw inside. Tash is disappointed.

MICHAEL: On the bright side it's a step up from your vegetable soup.

Michael goes to get take-away leaflets, while Tash insists on clearing up the dishes.

Number 32 Backyard
Tash takes a bin bag outside to the bins, but while out there she finds the purple note saying 'it's my fault Helena died.'

Number 32
Tash runs inside and demands to know what the note means. Both Michael and Emilia are stunned to be confronted by it.

TASH: What's this? Who's responsible for what happened to mum? What's going on? Did you write this?
EMILIA: It was part of a ritual
TASH: Why would you write something like that? Did you know she did this?
MICHAEL: No
TASH: But you know what it means? Dad!
MICHAEL: Yeah
TASH: What does it mean? Answer me! What does it mean?

They all sit down. Michael tells Tash that on the day Helena died they had been surfing and were packing away their boards into the sandman.

TASH: And that's when I wandered off into the water?
MICHAEL: No we were still up at the car.
TASH: (to Emilia) You were there? If you were there, why didn't you come and help?
MICHAEL: It wasn't Emilia's fault. We were...
EMILIA: Don't
MICHAEL: We were together in the sandman. Tash I'm so sorry (Tash leaps to her feet)
TASH: You... you make me sick. You could have saved her. You let her drown!

Tash runs out

Charlie's
Michael tries to call Tash on her phone, leaving a message. Emilia looks around but she's not there, she says she's tried everyone she can think of and no one's seen Tash.

Number 32 Backyard
Tash is in her back garden, ignoring her ringing phone.

Charlie's
Emilia tells Michael that Tash needs some space.

MICHAEL: How do you know? How do we know anything unless we talk to her? We should be working through this with her.
EMILIA: She is going to calm down, and when she's ready she'll come to us.

Number 32 Driveway
Tash leaves the garden and walks past the sandman. Michael's words about being with Emilia in the sandman flash through her mind. She grabs the keys from under the wheel and gets in the car.

Charlie's
Michael's angry at Emilia for leaving that note. Emilia says he's the one that told Tash, but he insists he didn't have a choice. He accuses her of wanting Tash to find out, and she suggests he did too.

MICHAEL: I'm not worried about how we deal with it, I'm worried about what Tash is going to do.

Number 32 Driveway
Tash finds the photo of Michael, Helena and baby Tash in the sandman. She slams it down beside her and speeds out of the driveway, driving down Ramsay Street.

Lassiters Car Park
It's night time, Tash drives the sandman into the car park. She leaves the car and tears up the photo, putting half of it in her pocket and setting alight the half with her dad on it.

(Later)

Michael's leaving Charlie's, on the phone to Emilia who is at the uni, looking for Tash. He apologises to her for what he said earlier, Emilia says they'll get through this. He notices people running past and runs to join them. He finds the sandman on fire and as he does, the car explodes. Tash stands in front of the car and looks at Michael. After a moment she turns and walks away, while Michael stays still, and looks over to the flames.

Tomorrow on Neighbours
Michael and Emilia stand beside the remains of the sandman while Lucas looks on.
Tash is furious at Emilia.
Charlotte tells Toadie that she knows that she and Sonya are having troubles.
Michael wants Tash to come home.
