Recap
- Andrew working double time for his tattoo removal
- Jade having issues with the whole 'couple' concept
- Michael and Emilia enjoying hanging out together
Number 32
Michael's trying hard not to look too conflicted while Lucas and Emilia map out a travel route to Sydney on the computer. While Emilia's retrieving her diary from the car, the boys have a chat about her. Michael can't help asking if things are serious between Lucas and Emilia. Lucas admits they aren't at the moment, but all that could change after their Sydney trip.
Number 26
Jade arrives home from work to discover that Kyle has fixed her wonky bed. Instead of saying thank you, Jade gets fired up about Kyle helping her when she didn't ask for it. But Kyle just tells her to relax: "I fixed your bed. I didn't build you the Taj Mahal." Jade says she'll try to forget about it, but that's easier said than done.
Number 32
Emilia offers to make dinner for her and Michael since Tash is at the movies with Summer. But in an attempt to distance himself, Michael says he doesn't think he needs to be looked after anymore. He smiles and says he doesn't want to be a burden, but Emilia says she actually enjoyed herself. Michael admits he did too.
Number 22
All Andrew wants to do after a hard day's work is relax on the couch, which is hard to do when Sophie is playing her guitar along with extremely loud music. Sophie complains when he turns it off, wondering why her cousin can't find another avenue to make money - Robinson Entertainment for example. Andrew reminds her that Paul shut down his business until school was finished... It takes him a second or two to realise that he's no longer a high school student.
Charlie's Bar
Rhys is on the phone to the hospital trying to get information on Erin Salisbury's roster, his next victim in the surgery program. While Jade's getting drinks, Rhys tries to rile Kyle up about his relationship status. Rhys insists that he knows Jade's type and bets fifty bucks that she'll bail by Valentine's Day, but Kyle says his housemate is talking rubbish. Later on while they're playing pool, Kyle brings up the idea of having a weekend away with Jade. Visibly flinching, Jade takes a breath and agrees, but her alarm bells ring when Kyle then suggests they make it for Valentine's Day. Rhys rubs it in by saying they'll be lucky to get a hotel booking around that time since it's such a popular couples holiday. Panicking, Jade pretends she has to call a client and runs out. Kyle says she'll be back, but Rhys just smirks, "Hundred bucks says she won't."
First Commercial Break
Number 26
Kyle finds Jade at home and says he knows she wasn't ringing a client, but Rhys got in his ear and he pushed things too far. Kyle admits he just wants to look after her, but Jade smiles and says it isn't the 1950s. She knows he likes to play the white knight, which is sweet, but she can look after herself.
Lassiter's Complex
Andrew's trying to make some calls to book a DJ for Robinson Entertainment but everyone he knows is busy. Sophie suggests he try something different, like a live band. She's obsessed with a band called Red Cotton at the moment, but Andrew's not interested because he doesn't want to deal with newbies who haven't been signed. It's a massive gamble and there's no money in it if they flop.
Ramsay Street - Next Morning
While Michael's loading his surfboard into the back of his car he sees Lucas and Emilia kiss each other goodbye out the front of #24. After Lucas drives off to work, Emilia goes to chat with Michael, joking around about surfing on the grass. Despite his initial plan to distance himself, Michael can't help inviting Emilia along for the day to surf with him. Things have the chance to turn weird once they're sitting in the Sandman (and when Emilia discovers her phone number in Michael's old street directory), but they both decide to suck it up and just enjoy the day.
Second Commercial Break
Number 26
Jade's struggling to cut a pineapple with a blunt knife for the fruit salad, but refuses to ask for help. While Kyle's off unloading the washing, Jade manages to unload a heavy drawer full of crap onto her foot while looking for another knife. Hearing a ruckus, Kyle asks if she's OK, but Jade pretends she's fine. Later, Kyle's enjoying fruit salad in the lounge and tells Jade to join him. Jade tries to hide her limp, but when Kyle playfully pulls her down to sit with him, she yelps out in pain.
Number 22
Andrew gets home from a jog to find Sophie using his laptop. Annoyed, he kicks her off while she's in the middle of perusing Facebook. When Sophie heads upstairs, Andrew notices that Sophie was on Red Cotton's FB page and is surprised to see how many 'likes' the band has. He clicks on their home page and listens to a track, liking what he hears.
Erinsborough Hospital
Rhys tells Jade that she has a small fracture on her big toe. She won't have to have a cast, but she will have to get around all week on crutches wearing a moonboot. Jade says that's not acceptable, she has clients that are relying on her, but Rhys tells her she needs the rest. Kyle can't help but smile - looks like Jade's just going to have to get used to him helping her out after all.
Third Commercial Break
Number 22
Sophie's stoked to learn that Andrew's now interested in Red Cotton for a Robinson Entertainment gig. He warns her that they're still only in the talking stage, but Sophie excitedly says that he has to make it an all- ages event so she can go. Andrew owes her for suggesting the band in the first place. But Andrew agrees because he needs Sophie's help promoting the potential gig.
Number 24
Jade's pretty zonked from her painkillers and ends up napping on the couch while the boys are in the kitchen. Kyle looks worried but Rhys says it's only a fracture and that she'll be fine. Kyle nods, "She will be when she stops being so fricking stubborn". Kyle returns to find Jade sleeping, and in his head he somehow thinks carrying her to her room would be awesome... great idea there, Sir Limps- A- Lot. He doesn't get very far, however, when Jade wakes in fright and yells at Kyle to get off her. Realising she was dreaming, Jade says sorry, but refuses any help to get to her room, telling Kyle to leave her alone. Kyle and Rhys swap concerned glances.
