School
Kate sits and contemplating what Andrew said while the students work away quietly. When the bell goes she dismisses the kids but asks Noah to stay behind where she informs him that given what has happened, she plans on finding him a new tutor, as she thinks it's for the best. Noah isn't happy and tries pleads for her to change her mind but Kate stands firm.
Summer than catches Kate in the corridor to show her the latest workings on the history wall and Kate is thrilled that others seem just as keen as she is!
Kate spots Michael and asks if he knows anyone that can tutor Noah. Naturally he wants to know the reason behind it and she uses the excuse that she's bitten off too much and no longer has the time to tutor him. Michael accepts Kate's explanation and agrees to come up with a name for her.
Michael then notices Summer working on the history wall and warns her she needs to make sure she keeps her studying up but she reassures him its of great benefit to her career. She even subtly gets in about finding out info on fellow students family for them, but he doesn't really get the gist of what she is really getting at.
Number 22
Kyle and Paul are trying to come up with an idea to stop the development from happening and it looks like Kyle may have come up with something after rambling on about Honger watching a Batman DVD. However, the best part of the scene is Paul being insulted with Kyle calling him 'dude'.
PAUL: Never call me dude!
School
Summer enters Michael's office wanting a word with him about Tash and the fact she's been talking to her about her mum. As soon as Michael hears that, he tells her its family business and doesn't wants the chat curtailed but she tells him that her mum died when she was young too and talking about Claire helped her and feels it would benefit Tash too. Michael makes it clear he isn't interested in her suggestion one little bit and reminds her it's a private matter before ordering Sum out of his office!
Sum exits and walks round the corner and joins Noah who is working on the history wall. Seconds later, Tash approaches them and remarks how she thinks they are wasting their time working on the history wall especially since it doesn't even count towards their grades!
(Later)
Michael approaches Tash when he spots her at her locker to see if she is interested in having a coffee during her free period but she has to turn the offer down as she has an extra study session now scheduled, which she isn't too amused to be attending! So he decides to have the chat with her (about her mum) instead in the corridor but as soon as she hears the topic of conversation, she stops him and apologises for bringing it up.
School playground
Noah approaches Kate who is sitting at a table and forces her to look at the song Andrew was referring to in his songbook. He tells her it's about a girl, but not her, someone in his class... and then looks directly at Summer and Andrew - it looks like Noah has got the idea to make it about Summer after Tash joked at them being lovebirds for working with each other on the history wall. Kate has well and truly fallen for his excuse so much so that she informs him that she will continue to tutor him!
School
Kate approaches Andrew to tell him that the whole thing with Noah was just some big mix up and she isn't the girl he has a crush on but for obvious reasons doesn't tell Andrew who it is! She orders him to leave Noah alone and also suggests he watches how he comes across because at times it could be classed as bullying.
Simmons & Colberts/Development site
Toadie gets a call from Paul asking about the environmental impact study but is told it isn't ready yet. Toad is a bit surprised at Paul's sudden love of the environment and reminds him about getting Dylan to poison the wetlands! "I don't know what you are talking about!" Paul replies - mmm wiped from his memory thanks to the convenient brain tumour or is he deliberately forgetting he asked Dylan to do that?! Paul is told he'll get a copy of the report when its ready but Toadie is confident nothing sinister will show up to stop the builders from beginning work.
School playground
Sophie is all starry- eyed because she's spotted Noah walking (with Summer) in the playground and then almost goes into delirious mode when he comes over to hand her a consent form (on Summer's behalf for her to use interviews as part of the doco she is doing). She thanks him before Kate (who arrived moments before Noah) signals its time to leave.
Number 24
Kate and Sophie arrive home and Kate wants the pair of them to hang out although Sophie would rather head to her room and practice. They chat generally about school and Kate remarks that she is surprised at Noah taking part in the doco since he's normally a private person and drops in that he has a crush on some Year 12 girl (she doesn't say whom). And from the look on Sophie's face, her world has just ended and tells Kate she is off to her room!
Number 24 (later)
Commercial break later and Sophie enters the livingroom with her guitar. She retrieves her songbook journal from her bag and in her distraught state, initially scribbles all over the pages where she is declaring her love for Noah but as there are loads of pages, she gives up on the scribbling and after failing to rip the pages out, throws the journal into the bin instead.
Development site
Paul explains to Kyle why he summoned him when he appears - he is having the whole of the development area checked by conservationists to see if there is some reason why it can't go ahead. Kyle suggests planting something but surprisingly Paul knocks back his suggestion, he wants it to remain completely above board... which is a first for Paul Robinson! Paul orders Kyle to stay to make sure they cover the whole area despite his protestations that he has work lined up because he's going back to the office to do some more digging.
School
Michael is getting ready to leave for the day when he spots an article about Helena (the one Summer discovered) up on the history wall. He isn't amused and pulls the piece of paper off the wall.
Number 28
Summer answers the door and Michael barges right in and asks what she is playing at? She doesn't have a clue what he is on about so he pulls the paper from the wall out of his jacket pocket and slams it onto the dining table. "Where did you get this?" she asks but he doesn't reply and instead has a right go at her for sticking her nose in. When she pleads she knows nothing about it, he yells at her why it was on the noticeboard.
MICHAEL: WHAT GIVES YOU THE RIGHT TO PRY INTO MY FAMILY'S PRIVATE BUISNESS? TO PUT IT ON DISPLAY?
SUMMER: I didn't mean to get it up there. I don't know how it got there.
MICHAEL: (really yelling) DON'T YOU DARE LIE TO ME.
SUMMER: I'm not. I thought I'd find something to show Tash and she'd want to see it and you said to stay out of it so I put it away.
MICHAEL: (still yelling) THEN HOW DID IT GET ON THE BOARD?
SUMMER: It must have got mixed up with other articles. Noah put them there.
MICHAEL: You are just a teenager playing at being a journalist with no respect for anyone's privacy.
SUMMER: I'm sorry.
MICHAEL: NO, YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHAT HAPPENS IN THE REAL WORLD, YOU HAVE NO RESPECT FOR ANYONE BUT YOURSELF. YOU ARE LUCKY THAT I DON'T KICK YOU OUT OF SCHOOL RIGHT NOW. YOU DARE MENTION THIS TO ME OR TASH EVER AGAIN AND I WON'T BE SO LENIENT. WE CLEAR?
Summer nods her head and quietly says "yip" before Michael picks up the piece of paper and leaves the house after reminding her to "stay out of it."
When Michael leaves, Summer breaks down crying which she has been struggling to contain throughout Michael yelling at her.
Lassiters Complex
Michael sits down and pulls the article out of his pocket and as he looks up he sees the ghostly figure of Helena standing on the jetty over Lassiters Lake. He re- looks at the picture in the article but this time when he looks up, ghostly Helena is gone.
