Jade trying to reassuring Kyle.
Toadie unsure about Sonya's plans.

Michael witnessing someone handing money to Tash.
Previously on Neighbours
- Michael withdrawing from parenting Tash in the aftermath of the graffiti incident to allow her to deal with it herself.
- Susan telling Jim what Karl read in his file - that chemo will no longer work, the cancer is too advanced.
PirateNet
Chris keeps Summer company while she waits for a record to finish so he can hear her slag off Paul. He can't believe she isn't scared of him!
Lassiters car park
Paul is surprised to see Andrew (and the car) waiting for him. Andrew explains it's so he can reach his 120 hour target and thus gets into the car.
PirateNet
Summer explains to Chris her rationale for what she is going to do and he asks if Andrew knows. "Andrew and I are on the same page," she replies.
Lassiters car park/PirateNet
Paul loses the battle with Andrew to keep the radio on and so they sit and listen to Summer although she doesn't actually name Paul/Erinsborough News - that may be Paul's style but not hers!
"She went easy on you," Andrew remarks to his dad and he thinks that is because she is soft! "Maybe a better person?!" Andrew suggests and his dad doesn't seem to like that one too much, indeed telling Andrew to drive!
Hospital
Jim digests Susan's news and wonders why it conflicts with what Dr. Lawson has said, so Susan is quick to add that Karl isn't an oncologist so he should ask Dr. Lawson again to get a second opinion so he's totally clear. He seems almost resigned that he's stuffed whichever way he looks at it and asks her to pass on his thanks to Karl.
Number 28
Karl is researching the Peru trip when he gets a call from Mal and instructions to come to the front door - the prodigal eldest Kennedy son is back in town! Both hug each other warmly and Mal asks where Susan is.
Hospital
And the answer is she is at the hospital and enters Jim's room as he is having a not- so- nice chat with Dr. Lawson! He isn't impressed at Jim stopping his chemo and at Susan interrupting their chat until Jim puts him right on that one.
Dr. Lawson asks him what's changed and Jim replies that earlier he thought he had years to live and then drops in it that Karl has read his chart and he's taken his slant on what it says I.e. not long to go compared to Dr. Lawson's stance of he's got years left. "You never give up hope, ever" he urges Jim and dangles the carrot that a new treatment may become known in the next month or the next year and Jim replies back with "what if its not?"
SUSAN: There's hope and there's being realistic.
DR. LAWSON: It's my job to exhaust every possibility alright.
JIM: See mate, that's the difference - I'm already exhausted.
DR. LAWSON: That's no reason to give up.
SUSAN: I think Jim's already made his decision.
Dr. Lawson again takes offence at her putting her tuppenceworth in and asks to know who her husband is and reluctantly, she reveals that she is Susan Kennedy thus the penny drops for the doctor.
DR. LAWSON: Jim, you're making a mistake.
Number 28
Karl ticks his son off for not calling so he could personally pick him up from the airport. He then gets onto more important topics like where is his wife and Mal replies busy working for the World Wildlife Fund (and hands over a rather cute koala bear) although she does send her love. Mal asks again about Susan and Karl replies that she's out and reassures Mal that everything is fine between them although Mal's face would suggest he doesn't believe his dad and to deflect attention tells Mal about the Peru trip. Their catch- up is interrupted though when Karl gets a call to come into the hospital now!
Hospital
Karl waits for Rhys to appear and when he does, he makes it clear he isn't impressed at Karl for Jim deciding to stop his chemo. "The man's not a lab rat," finally Karl tells him when Rhys goes on about possible new trials/treatments/drugs coming out all the time. Rhys isn't amused although more because a) Susan said the same thing to him and b) he isn't exactly keen on working at a 'backwater' hospital like Erinsborough!
KARL: No, you hang on. I don't see anyone twisting your arm to be here and what Susan and I have done has had no effect on that man's future because he does not have a future. You'd do well to think about that when you've got some experience in the real world.
Rotunda
Jim is enjoying sitting in the rotunda having some fresh air even if it is pouring of rain! When he spots Susan checking her phone, he asks if she's now debating whether she did the right thing or not but at her silence he reiterates that it was his decision to stop chemo after she gave him both sides of the story. He also says he'll sort things when Susan thinks she may have got Karl into trouble.
JIM: Knowing I'll never have to have chemo again is a huge load off... You know I thought not knowing how long I've got would freak me out... it doesn't.
Number 32
Tash gives up using her computer and tries to chat to her dad, offering to get him something to eat or drink but he is very cool with her. She asks if it's okay with him to go to PirateNet and hang out with Summer and he asks her instead why would he mind before she turns and exits the house.
PirateNet
Summer seems disappointed there isn't any talkback to her bit on Paul when she re- enters the studio. Tash arrives and Summer comes up with a brainwave and decides to talk about Tash's recent problems on- air, which Tash reluctantly consents to.
Number 28
Susan and Karl have a domestic when he returns home over Jim's diagnosis. As the arguing intensifies, Karl blurts out, "Jim Dolan is not Alex." Susan is gobsmacked and for a moment Karl can see he's overstepped the mark.
Karl wonders if that is why Mal has shown up and Susan replies that she doesn't know and when he quizzes her on what she said to Billy. "Nothing," she exclaims then reminds him that they hardly spoke at all when she was away.
SUSAN: The kids aren't stupid and they do speak to each other.
And just at that, Mal appears from his sleep and Karl can't get out of the house quick enough leaving mother and son to look at each other.
SUSAN: Welcome home!
Number 28
Susan tries to play down that there is anything wrong between Karl and herself, instead wanting to hear about what Mal has been up to. He isn't wearing it having spoken to his siblings but she puts on the smile and tells him that everything is fine.
Gym
Karl pounds the kilometres out on the treadmill.
Number 28
Mal again tries to push Susan but she manages to wriggle out of it and instead turns it round to his sudden appearance in Erinsborough. He does his best to deny the true reasons why he is back and instead replies that he doesn't need an excuse to visit his parents, so she reminds him that it's been a while!
MAL: Then that's why I am here.
SUSAN: You and your brother and sister talk way too much for your own good.
Gym
Karl is showing no sign of stopping his workout on the treadmill.
PirateNet/Ramsay Street
Summer interviews Tash about the graffiti attack on her house.
Michael stops waxing his surfboard and goes to re- tune his radio and eventually comes across PirateNet. He hears Summer interview and Tash her saying that they don't know who did the graffiti and has a little flashback to confronting Tash over spray painting the neighbourhood.
Tash tries to play down Summer's interpretation of her being victimised but does thank everyone for their comments when she posted the pictures on Facebook/Twitter.
Michael listening on the street isn't too impressed and switches off the radio.
Harold's Store
Paul praises Summer for her interview with Tash (after having a dig at her for the non- disclosure of his name) but it still doesn't mean she gets her internship back (Andrew asked). Summer and Paul then discuss journalism ethics and Tash slips out unnoticed from the store.
Lassiters Complex
Michael spots Tash as she leaves the store and he's again very cool towards her. He lets her know that he heard her on PirateNet and she is quick to tell him that Summer begged her to do it and that she couldn't think of anything else to say.
MICHAEL: I'm sure you're not the first person that's happened to. Catch you later.
Michael walks off and Tash calls him back.
TASH: I'm so sorry.
Michael ignores that and instead delves into his pocket and hands her the bill from Kyle for cleaning the graffiti and that he needs payment within seven days. Tash looks at the bill and its $203.50.
