Number 30
Toadie arrives home while Harold is trying to work out how to turn off the violent Wii game he accidentally switched on.
HAROLD: Oh dear, what do I do? Oh I shot him, that's not very nice.
Toadie turns it off then confesses to Harold that he just gave Sonya his "blessing" to move on with Troy. Harold doesn't understand why he's not still fighting for her, but Toadie says that too much has happened to go back to what they were. Harold keeps trying to persuade Toadie to change his mind, but Toadie just wants to forget about Sonya and distract himself with Harold's wedding plans instead. They agree to have lunch and work through some ideas, but before they leave there's a knock at the door. Harold answers and is chuffed to see that Lou's back in town. "G'day, Jelly Belly!" he beams, swatting at Harold's stomach.
Charlie's Bar
Harold, Lou and Toadie have wandered in to meet up with Carolyn for lunch.
LOU: I still can't believe you conned some poor woman into marrying you. What did you do, bribe her?
HAROLD: It's called true love, Lou.
LOU: Yeah right. She's not a mail order bride is she?
HAROLD: Well you'd know all about that.
TOADIE: Will you two settle down? Anyone would think it was you two getting hitched.
When they reach Carolyn, Lou immediately grabs onto her hand and kisses it, trying to turn on the Carpenter charm. But it appears that Carolyn finds him more annoying than delightful and kindly asks for her hand back. Lou cracks a few jokes and tries to make some inroad with the wedding plans, but Carolyn barely smiles. When she goes to the bar for more tea, Lou mutters to Harold that she's up herself. Harold reminds Lou that he expects him to get along with his fiancée.
Number 26
Mark's trying to find his keys in the mess that was once the lounge. There's crap lying around everywhere, including Kyle who is lazing on the couch watching TV.
KYLE: Dude you're in my way.
MARK: Well I wouldn't be in your way if you guys left things in their proper places.
KYLE: Well TV's in its proper place and you're still in my way.
Jade walks in flicking through a magazine, but can't help with the key crisis either.
MARK: They were in the key bowl.
JADE: We have a key bowl?
MARK: Yeah on the kitchen bench, the blue and white one.
JADE: Oh, I thought that needed washing up. Sorry!
MARK: It's got 'keys' written on it.
JADE: Does it?
Kyle tries to shush them but Mark's had enough and switches off the TV. He tells his housemates that they need to set some rules if they're going to live harmoniously. It's decided that Mark will clean, Jade will garden and Kyle will cook, starting with a week's trial. Jade finds Mark's keys under a couch cushion but Mark's now preoccupied with Kyle's cooking skills - or lack thereof. Kyle promises he's a pro.
Later that day, Mark has the kitchen spick and span. Everything has a label and he informs Kyle that his protein powder is in the new supplements cupboard. Jade and Mark hand Kyle their food money and remind him it has to last the week, before going into the lounge for a private chat. Mark says that maybe they should do the shopping instead but Jade thinks they should give Kyle a chance.
Charlie's Bar
The wedding plans are underway but Lou's suggestions aren't going down all that well with Carolyn. They niggle at one another and try and prove that they know Harold best. Carolyn soon heads off to the nail salon and leaves the boys to it, but reminds them she's not keen on Harold having a bucks' night. When Harold walks her out, Lou calls her a "harpy" for ignoring all of his ideas. But it seems as though he's going to ignore her request in return and organise a bucks' for his best mate.
Lassiter's Complex
Toadie's on the phone to Callum, letting him know about the bucks' night tonight (it's tame so he's invited) when he sees Sonya and Troy walking and laughing together. They see Toadie too, so Sonya stops to chat to him and see if he's OK. Toadie apologises for staring but Sonya reminds him he told her to move on so that's what she's trying to do.
First Commercial Break
Ramsay Street
Jade's doing the gardening while Kyle catches some rays on a sun lounge. Jade spies on his shirtless bod from behind a tree, but Kyle catches her out. She pretends she's annoyed with him for not doing the food shopping already, so he sighs and puts his shirt on to head down the shops. He bumps into Kate, who's also on her way to the supermarket, and he explains his chef role to her. Kate offers to help him out but Kyle reckons he's got everything covered.
Charlie's Bar
Toadie sidles up to Troy for a chat while Sonya's in the bathroom. He knows the whole situation is weird but they need to be able to hang out with one another for Callum's sake. Toadie invites Troy along to Harold's surprise bucks' party. Troy's wary at first due to his run- in with Harold last week, but agrees to come because it would mean a lot to Callum.
Toadie then crosses over to the other side of the bar where Lou has been working on some bucks' night ideas. But they're a little too overzealous an un- Harold- like (karaoke on a bus and a pub crawl just to name a couple). When Harold finds them and reads the list he's not too pleased either.
Lassiter's Complex
Harold buries his face in his hands while Lou and Carolyn argue about the bucks' night. Carolyn is against the idea because she thinks it's sexist and outdated, but Lou retorts that he wants his best friend to have one night of fun before his freedom is revoked. Harold tries to quieten them down and says he sees both sides of the coin, so Carolyn says they can compromise and have a small party all together. Lou's not keen on the idea but agrees for Harold's sake.
Number 26
Mark and Jade whisper to one another about Kyle's cooking prowess while he's putting the finishing touches on dinner.
JADE: What do you reckon it is?
MARK: Salmonella pie? E. coli hot pot?
Kyle brings them over a roast lamb dish with fancy trimmings worthy of being on MasterChef. Jade and Mark are amazed when the food actually tastes good. Really good in fact. Kyle then informs them that he's made extra meals and frozen them for the week, as well as making a chocolate pudding for dessert.
MARK: Where did you learn to do this?
KYLE: Mum says cooking is an art, it can't be taught. I'll tell you what my secret ingredient is, though.
JADE: What?
KYLE: Love.
He leaps up to get the gravy while Mark and Jade keep feeding their faces.
Second Commercial Break
Number 26
The gang finish up their pudding but Jade is feeling suspicious of Kyle's skills now the food high has worn off. She questions him about where his recipes come from (his Gran), then accuses him of making his Gran cook today, but Kyle says that his Gran has been dead for five years. Jade's not placated, though, and hunts through the fridge when Kyle goes off to watch TV. She shows Mark all of the Tupperware in the freezer and gets out the spag bol one.
JADE: What do you make of this, detective?
MARK: Tupperware.
JADE: Yeah, labelled Tupperware.
MARK: Good. Love a label.
But Jade tells him to take a closer look at the handwriting on the label - it's not Kyle's. They immediately head into the lounge room to give him the third degree. Kyle is hit with question after question about recipes and food preparation as Jade and Mark try to trip him up. Kyle does pretty well but falls at the final hurdle when he mispronounces thyme and has no clue how to spell bolognaise. He eventually admits that his Gran is still alive and she did all the cooking along with his mum. Jade and Mark are outraged to learn that he spent all the grocery money on DVDs and force him to do their chores while they relax as punishment for lying to them. While Kyle heads outside to do some night- time gardening, Jade and Mark clink their beer bottles together in glee.
MARK: Nice work, Detective Mitchell.
JADE: Oh why thank you, Detective Brennan.
Third Commercial Break
Charlie's Bar
Harold, Carolyn and Toadie are having fun playing darts (while Lou's in the loo) but Callum is starting to get bored. He perks up when Troy arrives, though, and Harold and Carolyn share uneasy hellos with him. Harold heads to the bar with Troy to help him with the next round of drinks. Troy wants to put things behind them and shake hands, but Harold can't help feeling wary around him and tells Troy that he thinks he's trying to upset Toadie. Things turn nasty when Troy clamps a hand down on a pressure point on Harold's shoulder and makes him yelp in pain.
TROY: Now tonight, you and me are going to be mates, but as of tomorrow you stay the hell out of my way, yeah?
Harold grimaces and quietly nods before Troy will let go. Troy sneers at him and says he's glad they had this little chat.

(Tomorrow on Neighbours)
(Summer and Andrew are glued at the hip and Tash feels left out)
TASH: So guys, plans for tonight?
ANDREW: Yeah I was kind of hoping it would just be me and Summer.
(Chris tries to be there for Tash)
CHRIS: A movie then? Gold class, we could see if Summer and Andrew want to come.
TASH: Yeah they're busy.
(Harold lets Toadie know what happened)
TOADIE: Hey what's up?
HAROLD: Troy and I had an altercation that turned physical.
(Harold finds a note from Cal at home and shows Toadie)
TOADIE: Squid hasn't turned up for school. He's gone to Puckapunyal with Troy! That little...
HAROLD: Do you really think this was Callum's idea?
(Toadie takes his frustration out on Sonya)
TOADIE: Our son is out there with a stranger!
SONYA: He's with his father!
TOADIE: I am his father and what I say goes.
