Recap
- Summer and Andrew fighting again
- Jade sticking up for Sonya against Toadie
- Toadie hiding Callum's parcel from Robyn
Number 30
Toadie rearranges the boxes in the garage so that the parcel from Robyn is buried underneath a pile of junk. He quickly throws a blanket over everything and leaves.
Lassiter's Complex
Michael sees that Tash is trying to mend fences with Summer, but things are still icy between them. So he gives Tash leeway on her punishment for the day in the hopes of getting the girls' friendship back on track. Tash smiles and thanks her dad.
Number 26 - Summer's Bedroom
Lyn brings Chris and Tash to Summer's room and makes a show of being nice to Chris and ignoring Tash. Summer's not thrilled when the teens show her some photographs they want to decorate her room with (mainly because a lot of them feature Andrew). Tash acknowledges that Summer made an effort with her last week so now she's trying to return the favour, so Summer relents and says they can redecorate.
Charlie's Bar
Susan finds Toadie having a coffee by himself and commiserates on the rough few weeks he and Callum have had. Toadie confesses to her about the parcel from Robyn and says he feels awful hiding it from Cal, but that he's scared of losing him to Sonya. Susan has sympathy for him but says he should do the right thing.
Number 30
Toadie interrupts Callum and Sophie's video game to show him the parcel. He admits that it arrived yesterday but he didn't know how to deal with it. Callum takes this in his stride and opens the box. The first thing he sees is a photo of Sonya and Jade from when they were younger. Cal then unwraps an old cup and tells Toadie he has no idea what it means. Sophie pipes up and says there's someone who might.
Number 24
Sonya's surprised and happy to see Toadie on her doorstep and listens to his story about the parcel. But her hopes are crushed when he says he wants Jade to come over and explain the history to Callum. Jade's still hostile with Toadie and says she's only coming if Sonya's allowed to, but Toadie says no and alludes to the fact that she's only letting Callum down with her stubbornness.
Number 30
Callum sees Toadie return with Jade and asks where Sonya is, but soon realises Jade is the only Mitchell sister his dad can deal with right now. Jade's thrilled to see some of her Gran's belongings, especially her Pop's war medals, but it turns out she's nearly as clueless about the items as Callum. There's only one person who'll have all the answers.
First Commercial Break
Harold's Store
Paul teases Andrew for having the music up too loud on his iPad just as Tash arrives on a chocolate run. She sees the Robinson men and tries to strike up a friendly conversation with Andrew, offering to tutor him in maths, but Andrew doesn't have any time for her. He thinks that anything that comes out of her mouth will probably be a lie so he's better off not dealing with her. The Robinsons leave just as Michael walks in. He sees that his daughter is down in the dumps and says that if her friendships mean that much to her she has to keep at it.
Number 26 - Summer's Bedroom
Chris notes that no photos of Andrew made it on the wall and how it's a shame that they can't all hang out together. Summer looks sad and says that she can't forgive Andrew, and she hates that she has feelings for someone who is constantly going to let her down. Chris puts a comforting arm around her shoulder.
Number 30
The kids and Jade are looking at an old Bible when Sonya arrives (after a phone call from Toadie). She's hesitant to tread on any toes, but Toadie makes it clear that Callum was the one who wanted her there. Sonya delights in being able to be near Cal again and looks through the items with fondness. Toadie grows more and more weary of the family moment, especially when Sonya tells Cal that their Gran kept a family tree record in the Bible. He quietly slips out while they're looking at the war medals.
Second Commercial Break
Ramsay Street
Toadie approaches Susan while she's gardening, but it hasn't gone unnoticed by her that he's got some visitors. She's surprised he's taken himself out of the picture and is hiding outside when he should be a part of things.
SUSAN: You're his family too.
TOADIE: I've only had Callum for three years. Sonya is his mother, I can't compete with that.
SUSAN: Toadie it's not a competition.
TOADIE: That's not what I mean. She is his mother.
SUSAN: Not really. Well yes, alright, she is by birth. But has she been a mother to him? Having a child is one thing, being a parent, that's much harder.
Toadie says he's sick of all the drama and just wanted to spare Callum from more hurt, but Susan says that's not how it works. She tells him to go back home because Callum needs his dad around.
Number 26 - Summer's Bedroom
Summer and Chris put the finishing touches on her room so that it looks more liveable and less jail cell chic. Tash returns with the chocolate and compliments them on the decorating - she's just got one change in mind. Summer gets extremely agitated when Tash starts to take some photos down and replace them with ones of Summer and Andrew.
TASH: I know Andrew's being a tool, I get it. But sooner or later he'll say sorry and you'll forgive him. You always do. So can we just skip to that part?
Summer doesn't like Tash's way of thinking and demands she get out of her house. She rips down the photos of herself and Andrew when Tash goes.
Harold's Store
Lyn swoops in and nearly takes Tash's drink away before she's finished with it. Chris appears and sits next to Tash, letting her know she's still not making things easy on Summer. Tash doesn't get what else she's supposed to do, so Chris tells her she has to seek atonement (conveniently the name of the book they were studying yesterday - nice to see you again plot anvils!). Tash soon realises this means working on getting Summer and Andrew back together - the most horrific idea ever to her.
Number 30
Callum's relieved when Toadie eventually returns home and asks Sonya more questions about their Pop. Everything's going hunky dory, and there's smiles all around (or grimaces in Toadie's case), until Sophie finds another item in the box. Callum's face falls when he realises it's his old piggy bank, the very one Sonya stole money from all those years ago. His face clouds over and he yells at Sonya to get out of the house. Sonya and Jade leave while Toadie looks on in concern at his son.
Third Commercial Break
Number 30
Callum explains to Toadie and Sophie that he was saving up for a scooter but all Sonya left him was one lousy coin. He sadly hands the piggy bank to Toadie and tells him to get rid of it.
Number 24
Jade's angry that their Gran kept the piggy bank but Sonya says it's not her fault. Jade then adds that Toadie was enjoying her sister's pain, but Sonya says Toadie was just looking out for Callum. Sophie returns and lets them know that Cal's upset but then lets rip at Sonya and says it's all her fault for making matters worse.
SOPHIE: Why can't you just leave him alone?
JADE: Because she loves him.
SOPHIE: Yeah? Well Toadie loves him too but he doesn't hurt him.
JADE: OK you don't know what you're talking about.
SOPHIE: Yes I do. Everyone else is just too nice to say it. (to Sonya) You're no good for Callum, I know it. Sooner or later everyone else will see it too.
Sophie dashes off to her room leaving Sonya looking stung.

(Tomorrow on Neighbours)
MARK: Cal could always come with me.
CALLUM: To the police station?
(Cal sits at Mark's desk wearing a police hat)
CALLUM: So where do you keep your handcuffs? Are you sure that you don't have a taser? What about pepper spray? Grenades?
(Mark and Kate agree to catch up for a coffee)
(Kyle somehow ends up involved as well)
(Sophie takes her Sonya issues out on Kate)
SOPHIE: I don't want her living with us.
KATE: Soph...
SOPHIE: It's my house too, I don't want her here.
(Sonya overhears - Toadie has a chat to her later)
TOADIE: Every time you talk to him he just gets more and more hurt and more confused. I think he's been through enough.
(Jade arrives home to see Sonya with suitcases packed)
JADE: Are you leaving?
