Number 24
Kate's clearing the kitchen - noisily. Sophie offers to do it instead, and tells her big sister to call Mark and apologise, and try and work it out. Kate says she has to go to the shops and strops out.
Harold's Store
Kate arrives - with Sophie in tow because she wanted a walk. Kate does some shopping whilst Sophie joins Toadie, Sonya and Cal at their breakfast table. She asks them for some relationship advice because Kate's broken up with Mark. Toadie thinks perhaps Sophie should leave it alone, but Sonya offers to have a chat with Kate, woman to woman. Sophie's thrilled.
CALLUM: No, she needs to talk to the expert. (turning to Toadie) You should do it.
TOAD: ...
CALLUM: You've be dumped plenty of times.
Sonya catches up with Kate at the counter and offers her apologies and a listening ear. She tells Kate not to be hard on Sophie - she's just worried about her.
Number 22
Tash comes over, and asks Andrew how his dad is, but Andrew doesn't want to discuss his father, or Rebecca. Instead, he brings out a pregnancy book. Tash whinges that that the books are really old- fashioned, and she's not interested in them. But Andrew's stuck in, and reading about what happens in week eleven. Apparently, the baby's like a peanut with eyes. Tash is disgusted.
Andrew announces that he's booked them in for a 12 week scan next week, and he can't wait to see their baby. Tash is fuming - he should have consulted her, but Andrew insists.
Ramsay Street
Sonya, Callum, Toadie and Sophie return from the shop, and Callum invites Sophie over, but she says she has to spend some time with Kate. Cal and Toad go home, and Sophie confides in Sonya that at least if Mark was with Kate, then there would something good in her life, and she might not have to go to jail.
Sonya reminds Sophie that Kate has her - but Sophie thinks that Kate needs someone to take care of her for a change.
Number 24
Kate unpacks the shopping loudly when Sonya comes in with Sophie, and tells Kate that Soph needs to understand the legal stuff. Kate tells her little sister that this is her mess, but Sophie wants to know everything. Sonya makes tea whilst the Ramsay kids sit down.
Sophie wants to know if Kate might go to jail; Kate says it's possible, but Toadie thinks it's more likely she'll get a fine for a few thousand dollars, and a good behaviour bond. Sophie says she's sick of people leaving her. Kate gives her a hug.
Number 22
Andrew is now talking about 3D sonograms, and Tash announces that she wants to go to the appointment alone; pregnancy's not a spectator sport! Andrew really, really wants to be there to see the baby on the screen, and he says that's the way it'll be. Tash is screwed.
Number 24
Sophie asks if she can have Kate's room if she goes to jail! But Toadie comes over to give Kate an update: he's trying to get a hearing ASAP. He also adds that if she gets a conviction, she can say goodbye to her teaching career.
Cut to later and Kate is clearing up loudly, again. Sophie tries to reassure her sister about the conviction - hopefully she won't get one. Toadie's a good lawyer, after all. She also tells Kate to call Mark again, but Kate refuses - she's already tried that.
Number 32
Tash strops in and sits down next to Cat. She declares that her life is a disaster before googling 'reasons not to get a pregnancy ultrasound'.
Number 24
Kate is hovering when Callum comes over to see Sophie. He sees Kate cleaning the sofa with the long, thin hoover attachment. She has her MP3 player on and can't hear them.
CALLUM: Oh, that's what those things are for. We never use them.
He realises that Kate is a hardcore cleaner.
SOPHIE: If she touches my room, she's a dead woman.
Callum drops chips on the floor to see if Kate will notice. She does. She hoovers them up without a word. Cal realises that they could have Kate cleaning for hours. He takes some flowers out of a vase, and sweeps magazines onto the floor. His theory is that the longer Kate cleans, the more time she'll have to think, and the happier she'll be. Cal continues to make a real mess. Sophie thinks there must be a better way they can help her. He starts taking pasta out of the fridge and dropping it on the kitchen counter.
Kate spots them and flips out. She orders them to leave.
Harold's Store
Sonya and Toadie are discussing Kate and Sonya declares that just because people screw up it doesn't mean they can't be good teachers - or mothers.
Andrew and Summer are talking; Andrew had a message from Rebecca apologising again for leaving. Tash turns up with information on how bad scans are for babies. Andrew is surprised, and Tash says she won't be taking any risks at all. Summer watches, suspicious.
Cut to later when Tash has left and Andrew tells Summer about Tash's worries. Toadie and Sonya walk by and the kids ask Toadie what he thinks about ultrasounds. Sonya awkwardly goes to wait outside. Toadie says he went with Steph to hers, and it was intense. When he leaves, Summer adds that the stuff Tash has printed off sounds like internet chatter and nothing more.
Lassiter's
Outside the store Andrew begs Summer to help him convince Tash to have the scan. Summer doesn't want to be involved in it, but Tash flips out at them both, and Summer is once again left suspicious about Tash's refusal.
Number 32
Callum and Sophie are talking about Kate, when she comes over. Sonya answers the door to her and apologises that Callum was acting up at her house. But Kate comes into the lounge and Sonya subtly takes Cal out so that Kate can talk to Sophie. Sophie tells her big sister that she needs to know what's going on, and that she needs Kate to talk to her. They hug. Again.
Number 22
Tash comes over and plonks herself on the sofa. She says that Andrew can now apologise to her. He says sorry for involving Summer, but insists that she has to have the scan, regardless of her fears. Tash admits that she has this mother's instinct. And it's telling her the scan's a bad idea - so Andrew says they have to see a doctor. He demands to have his say, they start arguing, and Tash accuses him of stressing the baby out.
Tash wants her own way, but Andrew puts his foot down - he has to put the baby first, and they're having the scan.
Number 32
Tash is looking through the baby book Andrew bought her, and there's a page for the first scan picture.
She picks up her laptop and googles (or poodles) '12 week pregnancy ultrasound photos'. She goes to a website and calls the number. She asks for a 12- week ultrasound photo, express delivery to Australia. She doesn't care how much it will cost - she wants it NOW.
