Recap
- Zeke trying to let Sophie down gently about her crush
- Sophie feeling mortified that everyone knows
- Lucas discovering Garland's cronies trashed #24
- Lucas losing a race to pay back his debt - but vowing to win next time
Garage
Lucas pesters Billy on the phone to let him know when the next big race is. He hangs up when Mark rides in on his bike, looking for a spanner to fix the clutch. Lucas is impressed that Mark knows how to repair it himself, but Mark just says he read about it online. He then asks Lucas to keep an eye on Kate the next few days because he's going to be busy. Lucas agrees but looks suspicious when Mark takes a phone call away from his prying ears.
Number 24
Sophie finds her diary covered with Pirate Net stickers and dumps it in the bin. Kate wonders what she's up to, but when Sophie says that yesterday was the worst day ever, Kate just thinks she's talking about the break- in. Kate reassures her sister that there'll be a patrol car outside the next couple of days so they'll be safe. This doesn't really cheer Sophie up - unless the patrol car accidentally runs over Zeke.
Charlie's Bar
Kate's leaving a voicemail reminder for Mark about their brunch date when Lucas walks in. He's concerned when Mark rings her back and reschedules their date for later. Lucas wonders if Kate ever gets sick of Mark being so busy, but Kate says it's fine and looks forward to him making it up to her.
Number 24
When Kate returns home, Sophie quickly hides the notebook she was scribbling over (erasing any mentions of Zeke). It doesn't take long for Kate to realise her sister's upset and gently coaxes out the basic points - Sophie had a crush on a guy, he found out and proceeded to embarrass her. Sophie doesn't want to say who it is, but when she goes to wash her face Kate takes a peek at her notebook and sees the initials 'ZK' on the front.
Ramsay Street
Zeke is just randomly standing in the middle of the street staring at #26 when Kate storms down her driveway to tell him off. He tries to protest that he was letting Sophie down gently, but Kate isn't impressed that he blabbed to so many people about it. Jade jogs past and listens in while Zeke says he'll go and apologise to Sophie for making her cry, but Kate snipes that he's already done enough damage. Jade follows Kate back into her house to make sure Sophie's OK.
Number 24
Jade and Kate watch as Sophie and Callum play a video game. Talk soon turns to Mark and Kate admits to Jade that it's tough he works so many hours and takes a lot of "mysterious" phone calls, but she trusts him. Lucas eavesdrops in the background while he sorts out the washing (must be his once- weekly underwear washing day). Kate's stoked when a delivery guy brings some flowers to her from Mark and Jade jokes that he should stand her up more often. Lucas continues to look suss - or maybe his clothes just smell ripe.
Erinsborough Police Station
Lucas lurks around a corner while Mark waits for a cop car to show up. Lucas is concerned when his racing buddy from yesterday, Jezza, is escorted into the station.
First Commercial Break
Charlie's Bar
Lucas hangs at the bar while Kate meets Mark for their lunch date. When Kate heads off to the bathroom, a blonde woman goes over to have a cosy chat with Mark, making Lucas a little uneasy. When Mark heads back to work later, Lucas lets Kate know what he saw but Kate reiterates that she trusts Mark and she's not about to get worked up over nothing.
Harold's Store
Jade and Kate find Sophie eating away her feelings in the form of ice- cream. Kate tells her there's a better way to deal with things, but Sophie just gives her an eyebrow raise.
SOPHIE: The last time you and Mark had a big fight you ate a family block of chocolate and didn't get out of your pyjamas all day.
Jade gets the girl power going and tells Sophie she can either sit here and work her way through the entire dessert menu or release her anger another way.
Lassiter's Park
Jade shows Sophie and Kate a punching bag she's stuck a photo of Zeke's face to. Sophie throws some tentative punches at first, but with Jade and Kate cheering her on she's soon walloping the crap out of it.
Harold's Store
Sophie approaches Callum and tells him how sorry she is about accusing him of crushing on her when this whole Zeke thing first started. She knows how awful it is to be on the other side of the coin, especially when Cal was just trying to be a good friend. Callum notices her sweaty forehead and Sophie smiles and says she found a way to deal with her trauma. Cal hugs Sophie and tells her that, "Just for the record, Zeke was never good enough for you". Cute.
Lassiter's Complex
Lucas does a Declan and lurks around like a creeper when he sees Mark and the blonde from earlier laughing and smiling in Lassiter's. Lucas gets Mark's attention and reads him the riot act for apparently cheating on Kate, but Mark sternly tells Lucas that he and Officer Megan Phillips are working undercover. He tetchily informs Lucas that he's obstructing police business, but he knows this isn't all about 'protecting' Kate's honour. Mark can see that Lucas is still dark on him for giving him the third degree about Billy and just wants to get one over on him. When Mark finds out Lucas has been filling Kate's head with the wrong idea he calls him an idiot.
Second Commercial Break
Harold's Store
Kate and Jade are telling Sophie all about their embarrassing crush stories from when they were in high school to cheer her up. Callum, who was only there for the free milkshake, quickly escapes the girl talk before he falls into a long- term boredom coma. Mark slips in to have a quick word with Kate and reassures her that he would never cheat on her and that he truly is busy with work. Kate smiles and says she knows.
Number 28
Sophie has summoned up enough courage to face Zeke. She blurts out an angry speech to him before he can get in an apology.
SOPHIE: You're a real idiot, you know that? I may be a few years younger than you but I'm not stupid. I knew that nothing was ever going to happen between us, I just liked you. But it turns out you're not as cool or as smart as I thought you were. So I just wanted to tell you that you suck and I'm officially over you [she storms out].
Zeke looks impressed and relieved all at once - "Go Soph!".
Charlie's Bar/Erinsborough Police Station
Lucas sidles up to Jezza at the dartboard and asks what the police wanted earlier. Jezza says they wanted to know about the races, but they didn't seem to have any solid information on anyone.
Mark and Megan are going through casefile photos, focusing on one of Jezza on his bike. Mark asks if Jezza gave up anything in the interview, but Megan says no.
Lucas tells Jezza that if they keep their heads down and their mouths shut they should be right. When Jezza leaves, Kate finds Lucas and gives him the angry eyes about interfering in her relationship. Lucas apologises to her and agrees to shout her and Sophie dinner to make up for everything. Three meals at Charlie's in one day, Kate? Why don't you just move into the kitchen?
Number 24
When Mark calls by, Lucas says he feels like a tool for accusing him of cheating today. Mark says he knows how Lucas can make up for it - he's booked some track time at Sandown and asks Lucas to have a ride with him. They banter about who's going to beat who, but don't ask me what they said... Mark was wearing some pretty distractingly tight jeans.
Third Commercial Break
Erinsborough Police Station/Charlie's Bar
Mark asks if Megan's got any info on when the next race will go down. Megan says that her source reckons it will be soon, so Mark replies he better start clocking up the road hours so he doesn't look like an amateur. Meanwhile, Lucas is back in the bar sending Billy another text - 'Any word on the next race? Sooner would be good.'

(Tomorrow on Neighbours)
SUSAN: A nude calendar!
KARL: The shed is at risk.
LUCAS: How about you have another think about doing the calendar?
MARK: Mate...
(Tash has Summer and Andrew at her beck and call)
TASH: When I'm like this, peppermint tea is the only thing that settles me. [to Andrew on the phone] I have to have a lemon tart, now.
(Andrew has more serious things on his mind, though)
ANDREW: We've got to tell our parents. How long do you reckon we can keep it a secret?
(Looks as though Andrew has confessed the baby news to Rebecca)
REBECCA: You cannot do it on your own. Neither can Tash.
(Summer tries to get through to Tash)
SUMMER: You're going to have to tell your dad at some point.
TASH: Stop pushing me.
ANDREW: If you don't tell him I will.
TASH: You can't do that.
(The last shot is of Michael, looking quite stunned/murderous)
