Hospital
Doug continues to dish out medical instructions to the other medical staff in the room.
Number 28
Ooh spooky, the candle Donna suddenly goes out just as Karl and Susan enter the house.
Hospital
Whoever Doug and the others are working on has flatlined and CPR is began.
Meanwhile out in the corridor, Lyn rushes in and finds Libby who informs her that there is been no news. Lyn is relived to see that Kate is okay as she and Declan return to the waiting area. She then catches the passing Jodie to ask about Steph but Jodie brushes her off (she's busy) and Libby reassures her that they are both going to be okay. Toadie arrives at the hospital too and Libby brings him up to speed.
Number 28
Donna doesn't seem to realised the urgency to get to the hospital as she goes around the house gathering things for Ringo, almost telling the K's off that they are worrying over nothing.
Hospital
Zeke now arrives to join the waiting and Lib tells everyone that her parents are bringing Donna in. Lyn tries again to get news out of Jodie but she doesn't know anything more. However she then spots Doug and asks him if her daughter is alright but he doesn't say anything and instead we cut to Steph lying in a hospital bed.
Jodie shows a relieved Lyn (and Toadie) into Steph's room and both tell her that she will be fine. "What happened?" she groggily asks.
Donna, Susan and Karl finally arrive at the hospital but there is no news on Ringo. Karl spots Doug and it's like rewinding back to 2002 when he is the first to know that Ringo hasn't made it before Doug goes over to tell Donna.
DOUG: We did everything we could but Ringo didn't make it. Sorry.
Doug isn't sure if Donna has taken the news in or not as she seems rather shell- shocked but she confirms that she did understand what he said.
Back in Steph's room, Lyn is fussing over her daughter as a way of avoiding talking about what happened, but Steph begins to tell them what she can remember. Lyn tries to tell Steph that they don't need to do this, they can talk later, and leaves her to go and update everyone but before she can leave the room, Steph recalls that she hit something with her bike. It then dawns on Steph what happened, that she hit someone.
And out in the corridor, Doug approaches Donna to seek her permission to go ahead with Ringo's request that his organs be used for donation however she is shell- shocked and talks instead of what was planned at home for their anniversary and the notes Ringo left for her. Karl can sense he's going to be the one to get through to Donna and takes the permission form from Doug and sits next to Donna.
It's now all coming back to Steph and she can clearly remember hitting someone and coming off the bike. Toadie is the one to tell her about hitting Ringo after Lyn tried to avoid saying, even though Steph wants to be told. She asks Toadie to go and find out how Ringo is and threatens to get out of bed when neither of them seems to be going to get the information she desperately seeks.
Toadie exits Steph's room to see Karl asking Donna for the permission to remove Ringo's organs. He's standing listening in disbelief as Lyn helps Steph to the door where the three of them witness Donna breaking down. Its Steph's turn now to be shell- shocked, as she realises the consequences of the accident.
And today's trip down memory lane is to 1993 and a pic of Annalise Hartman.
Number 28
"Everything feels like its spinning, like its happening to someone else" Donna remarks to Libby and Susan when she gets home. Libby offers her words of wisdom, having of course been in a similar position herself, with Susan adding in a few words too. Their attention though is drawn to the TV when Zeke accidentally pressed play on the DVD player (he was sent to tidy up the livingroom when they got home) and Ringo appearing onscreen. Donna though seeks comfort in it and instead of taking the disc out, wants Zeke to press play again to watch it.
Hospital
Doug gives Steph an update on her condition - nothing broken, just superficial bruising and he wants her to stay overnight to monitor her. He leaves them to it and Steph is still trying to piece together what happened and after seeing Kate looking through the window, remembers her being there.
Jodie pops in to tell Toadie and Lyn that visiting time is almost over but Steph begs not to be left alone, so Jodie leaves to arrange something.
Number 28
Donna finishes talking to her dad on the phone (he's out of town) and Karl fills Nick in with more info about Ringo (from a medical perspective). Susan's phone begins ringing - its Prue and she heads outside to talk to her, after rejecting Karl's offer of taking the call.
Donna asks Zeke for the notes Ringo left and heads to her room where of course it's full of photos and memories of them as well as Ringo's belongings. As she is breathing in the scent of him from his robe, his phone starts ringing (it's in the bag of his possessions she took from the hospital) - its Christian looking for Ringo and she takes the message from him as if Ringo will be home soon. Finally he twigs something isn't right but despite the tears flowing down her face, she doesn't say anything except to quickly end the call before lying down on their bed with their wedding photo propped up on Ringo's pillow lying on top of his robe.
Number 28 (next day)
Donna is sound asleep in her bed.
Hospital
Lyn is asleep too, her head resting on the bed of the wide awake Steph. She gets hold of her mobile phone and finds Donna's number before calling it however it goes straight through to voicemail so she hangs up. Steph then notices that she has some messages and listens to the one from Lyn where she is literally begging Steph to come home.
Number 28
Donna wakes up and bashes the wedding photo as she turns in the bed.
Hospital
Lyn wakes up after hearing Steph break down crying, the realisation hitting her over what she has done, and quickly goes to comfort her daughter.
Number 28
Donna repeatedly calls Ringo's phone just to hear his voice on his voicemail greeting.
Meanwhile the rest of the house is up and about and Libby wonders whether to go in and talk to Donna but Susan vetoes that for now. Karl comes off the phone from talking to Prue to tell everyone that the funeral is going to be in Muttatang as soon as Rosie and Frazer have flown in. Zeke volunteers to go with Karl (he's going into the hospital to do the paperwork) and as the ladies sit down at the table, Libby reminisces that this time yesterday Ringo was sitting too at the table.
Libby then goes to try and call Steph again, unimagining what her friend is going through and feeling guilty that she couldn't stop Steph. "How do you live with this?" she asks her mum and for once Susan doesn't have an answer.
Hospital
Lyn helps Steph gingerly get dressed, trying to reassure Steph that they'll deal with everything later. Doug arrives and Steph questions if she is fit to be released yet but he confirms that she is and Lyn adds that hiding out at the hospital isn't going to help. Jodie arrives at the back of Toadie, wanting a word with Doug and he leaves them to it.
Toadie confirms that the kids are okay and that they send their love too. She asks how Kate is doing and Lyn immediately answers that she is find and tells Steph its time to go.
Just as they are about to leave, Doug comes back in to say there is going to be a delay to them leaving because the police want a word with Steph. Toadie thinks its just routine and is about to go and see if they can do the interview later when Doug breaks the news to them that its more serious than that as we head into the final commercial break.
Commercial break later and Karl wants to send the waiting Zeke home as there is lots of paperwork to get sorted out but he is happy to wait, remarking that they can both be done with the company before they share a father/son moment with each other.
An apologetic Steph comes out of her room (with the police accompanying her) and Karl wonders what she is going on about. He then asks Toadie what is going on and it's broken to them that there was alcohol in Steph's blood at the time of the accident. "Was she over the limit?" Karl asks and Toadie confirms that she was.
As the credits begin, Ringo's name has been removed although he was still in the opening titles.
Tomorrow on Neighbours

Steph admitting she has to pay for what she did.
Toadie asking Steph if she wants to go to jail.
Karl snubbing Lyn.
Susan supporting Donna.
Rebecca asking Kate to open up to her if she can't to Donna.
