Number 22
Paul is demanding info on Toadie from the PI yet it's only been 2 hours!
Lassiters Complex
Toadie tells Steph he's working late again tonight and they banter about him getting out of the cooking for the 3rd time this week.
Number 22
Paul lays it on the line that he wants miracles from the PI despite him pointing out again that it's only been a couple of hours!
Lassiters Complex
Steph spots Libby arriving and she invites Libby to sit with her while Toadie gets his takeaway and orders Libby's at the same time. Lib asks how married life is going and Steph correctly interprets this as has Toadie seen Sonya, which she's happy to report that he hasn't, and hasn't seen her since sorting out the lease for her. She doesn't quite believe Steph so grabs Toadie's mobile to check his call history but Steph manages to wrestle the phone back and tells her friend that she has to trust Toadie otherwise they don't have a marriage.
Number 22
The PI reports that his police check is clear but Paul wants him to dig deeper to find Toadie's secrets.
School
Andrew and Summer banter about the mechanics course as they wait for classes to begin. Chris changes the topic of conversation by showing them pics of Harry's of Harry's new place on his mobile. The boys head off to look at the pics and Sum asks Tash how things are going with Andrew (fine) before adding that she was wrong - he is interested in her for more than one thing!
Lassiters Complex
Michael catches his daughter skiving school but she replies that she's just reading in the store instead of the library as it's too noisy there with rowdy boys. He teases her by suggesting that she'll never find a boy who matches up to her.
NATASHA: So what am I supposed to do?
MICHAEL: Ah go for the one that wants to share things with you. Andrew brings out the best in you. Either that or ah declare yourself a radical celibate and join a nunnery!
NATASHA: You are so off sometimes!
MICHAEL: Well that's what dads are for!
Number 22
Paul is still on the back of the PI as Tash comes round to hang out with Andrew but Paul is on his back too (once he comes off the phone) - he wants them to put on a united professional front (with no stuff ups or distractions) at Lassiters for Diana.
Lassiters Complex
Sum teases Tash about being lost without Andrew as she waits to give him a sandwich (Lucas ate the last of the bread so he wasn't able to get anything to eat at home before heading to work) but when she gets a chance to talk to him, Paul is immediately at him to get back to work as Diana is moaning.
Meanwhile a bunch of lassies lost on their hen night ask Tash where a particular pub is but she doesn't know it however does know a better venue for them...
Lassiters foyer
... And the very rowdy ladies pile into the foyer trying to distract Andrew from his duties but he's being loyal and ignoring them whilst working. Paul turns up and isn't impressed at the ladies and wants them out of the foyer now! Tash tries to be the hero but Andrew sends her packing.
Lassiters Complex
Diana is chatting with Toadie about the complex when Paul approaches to see if he can help. He can't and when she continues on her way, Paul warns Toadie to keep away from Diana. Naturally Toadie doesn't like that and rubs it into Paul's face that there is nothing he can do to stop him talking to Diana. With a smirk on his face, Paul pulls out a letter addressed to Steph from his inside pocket - a thorough account of everything he's done for him.
PAUL: You keep your mouth shut and she doesn't need to know anything.
Toadie grabs the letter out of Paul's hand and no, doesn't rip it up, but puts it into the post box instead!
TOADIE: I told you, we're through.
Toadie 1 v Paul 0!
And today's trip down memory lane as we head into the first commercial break is from 2005 and a scene involving Izzy Hoyland and Karl Kennedy.
Lassiters Complex
The hen ladies are temporarily being stalled until a better location is found for them, all watched by the observing eye of Diana and Natasha from slightly further away. Sum thinks that Tash is being very clingy to Andrew when she and Chris spot her watching before asking what is happening. Tash tells them about suggesting the hen ladies go to Lassiters so they got more guests except its gone wrong! Sum whistles to get the ladies attention so that Tash can talk to them (she thought she could get them to go to Charlie's but didn't want to talk to them in front of Andrew so she didn't hurt his pride).
Charlie's
The ladies are having a whale of a time in Charlie's as a relived Andrew enters the bar glad to be finished work!
Toadie enters the bar to see if Steph wants a lift home (she wants one but only after she's watched more of the hen's party) and confesses that he needs to talk to her - he admits he's been working for Paul although he has quit. "Take me home now," is Steph's reply to his confession.
Number 30
Steph is peeved at Toadie working for Paul especially as she knew it would never end well. Toadie admits that he thought he'd be able to keep him on a tight leash but bailed when he realised how far it had gone and with what Paul wanted him to do. He then tells her about the letter on the way with all he did for him.
STEPH: So you're only telling me this now because he threatened you?
TOADIE: I wanted to tell you right from the start.
Steph reminds him about their honesty policy and he admits that he was worried about her - she was so stressed about the wedding with Lyn pushing for it to be bigger and bigger then adds that the law firm isn't doing so well just now, so didn't want her stressing on top of everything else about money.
STEPH: We're a team remember. We've got to make sure we don't make any more mistakes.
TOADIE: I know.
STEPH: First Libby and now Paul. If you want to contact Sonya you've got to be more careful.
(Toadie nods)
STEPH: We just can't afford anymore stuff ups.
TOADIE: We won't. Libby and Paul are taken care of and it's going to be smooth sailing from here on in, Scouts honour!
Number 22/Charlie's
Paul is on the back of the PI again and wants him to step outside the boundary of the law since everything legal has turned nothing up. The PI points out that it won't be cheap but Paul doesn't care, he just wants a result and the first order is for him to tap Toadie's phones both at home and the office.
Harold's Store
Michael wonders if things didn't go so well for his daughter given she isn't eating her favourite meal. After watching random Karl and Susan be lovey- dovey with each other, she admits to her father that Andrew doesn't want to share things with her, he'd rather do that with Summer. Michael tries to say that's down to him knowing her longer and tries to cheer her up by boosting her confidence about her being gorgeous and that any guy would be lucky to have her as a girlfriend.
Number 22
Paul listens into Toadie's telephone conversation but it's not that enthralling - just Toadie asking Steph if the baby needs chocolate!
PAUL: Only a matter of time Rebecchi.
Number 30
Despite the call, Toadie arrives home without the chocolate but he does bring something else - a mobile phone that he will use to contact Sonya, so no risk of Libby or Lyn finding out!
Harold's Store
Lucas interrupts the Williams' meal to seek help from Michael with his lesson plan for the next lesson. Tash is happy to leave them to it and when she spots Summer bantering with Andrew as they (plus Chris) walk into the store, makes a big play for Andrew and suggests they go somewhere private. Sum suggests the 4 of them hang out but Andrew wants to take up Tash's suggestion!
Number 22
Taking a break from the pashing, Andrew compliments Tash on being like a bloke - knowing what she wants and getting it. He loses brownie points though by adding that she doesn't need someone telling her that to make her feel good! Tash hears Paul arriving home and suggests they go elsewhere - another plus in Andrew's book is her ability to recognise the sound of Paul's car!
Harold's Store
Sum and Chris are debating which film to go and see when Tash and Andrew return, their fun having been interrupted due to Paul's arrival home.
The boys go to get some food and Sum tries to get the truth from Tash but she's doing the bimbo routine (according to Summer). Much to Tash's annoyance, Sum tries to give her relationship advice too, which she thinks is a joke and asks Sum if she and Chris even kiss!
SUMMER: This is not about me and Chris. He would never want me to be something I'm not.
NATASHA: Yes right. (speaking loudly so the guys hear) The only reason Chris isn't all over you is because he's scared he'll get frostbite.
ANDREW: Hey Tash, whoa.
NATASHA: Just ask him.
