Trouble at the hospital but Karl knowing who is responsible.
Donna being arrested!
Previously on Neighbours
- Summer rejecting Harry.
- Kate realising just what the dancing gig involves.
Number 22
Kate storms into #22 after walking out on the dancing gig. Donna works out what sort of dancing it was going to be and Declan wants to go and have a word with Phillipa! Kate stops him and points out that she just didn't pick up what sort of gig it was going to be. She does add though, that this hasn't put her off doing other dancing work.
Number 22 (next day)
Declan and Rebecca are talking about what happened with Kate when she and Sophie arrive. They chat briefly before Rebecca announces she's off and Declan fills Kate in - she's doing to some business lunch where she hopes to attract more clients.
Donna enquires how the hunt for more dancing work is going and hears that it's difficult - nothing at the Ministry and Terry's lost all his dancers to other ventures. Andrew suggests looking outside the square for opportunities.
School gym
The Emu's are in full flow at training as Andrew, Sophie, Natasha and Michael watch on. Sophie asks her cousin why he doesn't play given he's tall enough and Tash butts in to say he has other talents and shows him their invite to some Year 12's (Sarah) 18th party.
Summer arrives to given Michael a note which causes Harry earn the wrath of the coach for losing concentration when he stops and stares at her.
Changing rooms
Chris tries to chat to Harry about who is going to be the new basketball captain but Harry couldn't care less as he's still down in the dumps with Summer dumping him. Chris berates him on his performance then tells Harry to go and talk to Summer because he's no good to anyone at the moment.
Andrew enters the changing rooms and after hearing what Chris has just said, can't but agree and wants to help. Harry doesn't want his help but Andrew forces him.
School
Andrew's plan is to get a pressie for Sum (jewellery) but Harry thinks she'll interpret that as him buying her off... plus he can't afford it. Tash rocks up wanting them to discuss a pressie for the Sarah but Andrew informs her that Summer's pressie comes first. The three of them brainstorm (although Tash isn't exactly helpful) and Andrew has a brainwave and wants them to go to the art room.
Charlie's
Rebecca has the place done up so it looks rather smarter than usual (tablecloths and flowers on the tables).
Kate and Declan rock up to see her as Kate has an idea - she wants to dance at Rebecca's business lunch. Rebecca isn't keen as she wants to send out a different message but gets sweet talked into letting her perform after it has finished, as the entertainment... as long as it isn't flashy!
School
Harry and Andrew get Sophie to deliver Summer's pressie and their message - they are both really sorry for disrespecting her and hope that one day she'll be able to forgive them.
SOPHIE: But if I were you, I wouldn't give in so easy! What they did was really wrong.
Sum seems to like what Sophie has said, I'm sure her own words rather than what the boys wanted her to say!
She opens up the box to find a DIY comic book entitled 'Summer of the dead'
School playground
The boys are wondering whether their pressie worked or not when Tash rocks up wanting to talk pressies again. Andrew suggests that they take Harry with them as Sarah will never know but their party chat is curtailed when they spot Summer approaching. She thanks them for the comic and the team effort that went into making it, much to Tash's disgust! Her disgust level is further raised when Andrew suggests that Summer comes along to the party too and she agrees to think about it before leaving.
ANDREW: (to Harry) We are so back!
School
Tash catches up with Summer at the lockers to put a different slant on the comic - its just a suck up job so that Harry can get to the party. She tells Sum its couples only and so Harry needs her to get go. Tash really sticks the knife in too, to make Summer doubt the turn around in the boys.
NATASHA: It's not like they haven't lied to you before is it?
And as we head into the commercial break out trip down memory lane will please Sal today - it's from 1999 and photo of Phil and Ruth Martin, Lance and Anne Wilkinson.
School
Commercial break later and Summer catches up with the boys to confirm a few things. She wants to know why she's been invited to the party (they like her and want to be friends again) and what their reaction would be if she weren't to go. "It's a free world," Andrew replies and Harry adds that they'd love for her to come.
HARRY: Put it this way, if you don't go, neither do I.
ANDREW: And Harry really wants to go. Come on, it will be like old times.
SUMMER: Well I wouldn't be seen dead with either of you or (throwing the comic at Harry) this stupid comic.
The boys are bemused by Summer's reaction as she storms off.
Lassiters Complex
Summer arrives for her chemistry session with Chris in a fowl mood. Chris tries to talk to her about Harry but Summer isn't in the mood to listen to him plead Harry's case at all, so they agree to just stick to the school work instead.
Charlie's
Rebecca finishes serving the main course to her guest and announces dessert will be out soon. Lou (and Sophie) pop past to see how things are going and to watch Kate dance, which Rebecca agrees to as long as they are very quiet.
Terry and his dancers arrive and since it's near to show time, Donna leads the dancers off to get changed and he goes to get the music ready. "I really hope this does not backfire on me," she tells Declan who came in at the back of them. Terry looks like he's thinking the same too as he rubs his forehead!
(Later)
Rebecca finishes dishing out the desserts and announces the unscheduled entertainment - Kate Ramsay and the Terry Kearney dancers. The trio get on stage and strut their stuff (very briefly) which is met by a round of applause at the end by both the patrons Rebecca is trying to schmooze and the randomers (Lou, Sophie, Declan and Donna) also gathered in the pub.
Rebecca comes over and hugs Kate before introducing her to one of her guests - Judy who'd like a chat to Kate later on about doing some work for her at corporate events. Kate is over the moon until Judy makes it clear that she just wants her, not the other girls or Terry.
Harold's Store
Kate is having a dilemma over what to do about Judy's job offer because she feels loyal to Terry. Donna and Declan think she should look after #1 and he offers to go with her when she tells Terry. Kate asks Lou for his advice too and is told to do whatever is in her heart and she ponders those words as she sips her latte.
Charlie's
Terry is telling Rebecca that he's due a break as things have been bad lately when Kate (with Declan, Indy and Donna in tow) arrive. She rejects Declan's offer to be there when she tells Terry, so they wait at the bar while she heads over to him.
Terry is really excited at how things went and thinks more work will come out of it. She breaks it to him that she's been offered work but is going to turn it down (due to her loyalty) but is told to think again and to re- think her whole dancing career too if she's going to put loyalty ahead of employment. Indeed he tells her he'll be "personally devastated" if she doesn't take the work!
Harold's Store
Donna and Summer enter the store and they chat about Chris - Donna thinks he's sweet and cute. Sum plays down that there is anything more than him just being her chemistry partner although she does add that he is nice and doesn't try and mess with her head!
Donna tries to give Sum some advice, saying that most of the time guys are talking in some sort of code I.e. like = definitely want something more than that, while friends = I never want to see you again!
DONNA: And that's only when they are talking to you because when they are talking to their other mates then it's a whole lot of other code that you need to learn.
Sum is rather bemused by what she's just said and asks if Donna is being serious. Donna confirms it, adding that "it took me years to crack the code." She then offers to teach this code to Sum but she'd rather not although Donna does say that it will make her life a lot easier!
School
Sophie tries to talk to Andrew and Harry about Kate's dancing but they are pre- occupied with trying to work out Summer. "I guess you can't blame her," is Sophie's reaction when they briefly tell her what's up before she leaves them to it.
Harry can even pinpoint where things changed - when Andrew invited Summer to the party and Andrew has another brainwave when he spots Tash over at the other side of the corridor. He approaches her and she thinks it's to talk birthday pressies but instead he confronts her with his suspicions that she wants to go to this party so much (the social event of the year according to her) that she'd say something to Summer to make her angry at them again. Tash denies it but Andrew sees right through her and eventually she admits it because she doesn't want them going to the party (classifying Summer and Harry as C- list in the celebrity stakes) so Andrew announces that he won't be at the party either.
Classroom
Andrew catches up with Summer in the classroom although she isn't exactly enthralled to see him. He tells her that what Tash said was all wrong - they don't give a stuff about the party and that she said it because she is jealous of their friendship.
Tash creeps into the classroom just as Andrew is telling her to talk to Harry and interrupts to ask if she is going to believe what he's saying.
SUMMER: Why did you tell me that? What have I ever done to you?
NATASHA: Get a grip.
SUMMER: No, you stop messing with my friends.
"Get over it," she tells Summer before going to walk away towards her seat but Summer pushes her back against the desks and the two of them end up having a scrag fight complete with hair being pulled too!
Michael rushes into the classroom after hearing the noise and wants to know what is going on.
School
Final commercial break later and Harry and Andrew check how Summer got on with the Principal (she's sitting outside his office). She re- tells that he was disappointed and thought she was better than that, which she agrees with. Sum adds that she thinks she'll get a detention and Andrew remarks she's lucky she hasn't been suspended.
The two of them try to cheer her up but she stops them and tells them that she can't be friends with them.
HARRY: I thought we sorted everything out? And we're sorry for what we did, honest.
SUMMER: It's too late; you're turning me into someone I don't want to be.
