Lassiters Complex
And a new Lassiters Complex at that now that the tarps have finally been removed! Lassiters hotel now has a 2nd floor with a balcony for patrons to sit and relax. It has also expanded too, taking over what was previously the water area, into a mini square with tables and chairs complete with an ornate sculpture in the middle.
As the audience, RSR's and the extras get used to the new complex, Paul does the grand re- opening speech before getting *new* Declan to come over with the oversized scissors to cut the ceremonial ribbon to declare the complex open.
However the warm welcome Paul has extended doesn't seem to have spread to his wife and step- son with the atmosphere distinctively frosty! The only person who seems happy about that is Andrew as he smirks away to himself.
Kyle runs into Andrew and its suggested that Kyle goes over to see Rebecca because Andrew thinks she is looking a bit tense... and still has the hots for him! Andrew puts words in Kyle's mouth too, to suggest that she needs someone to talk go and he heads over to where she is manning a Lassiters stall.
Charlie's
Declan (and Indy), Zeke and Donna enter the bar and Dec's mood still hasn't improved. He heads off to text Kate as Ringo and Naomi enter the bar also. Naomi doesn't seem too happy at Ringo lavishing attention on Indy (Donna is holding her) once she finds out who Indy's godparents are!
Susan enters the bar and tries to get the teens outside to gorge on Paul's freebies but the only one to take up her suggestion is Donna after she has a bit of a run in with Naomi (she asked Donna how things were going with Nick and Donna didn't want to tell her, saying it was private).
Lassiters Complex
Ringo follows Donna outside. She realises that she was a bit off with Naomi but explains that she's finding the whole concept of them just being friends hard to accept. "I'll make it work" she adds before Ringo leads the way back into the bar.
Charlie's
Once they return, Naomi invites them both to the cinema (the others agreed) and while Ringo is up for it, Donna isn't so Naomi heads over to chat to her (Donna walked away to the other side of the bar).
Naomi begins by apologising for the situation and phrases it that it's okay for Donna not to go if she is going to make others uncomfortable! Donna doesn't get a chance to reply to that as Naomi leaves as soon as she's said it, back to where the others are.
Lassiters Complex
It's now Lucas who is trying to plug Paul's gourmet food, catching Ringo and Naomi as they leave the bar. While Ringo feasts on the food, Lucas suggests that they need another meeting of the Blokes Club to discuss storage. Ringo agrees but only because Naomi said it was okay and just as they are about to have a pash, Donna arrives to announce she is coming to the cinema now too! Naomi doesn't look too happy that Donna is coming!
Charlie's
Kyle puts into practice his 'listening skills' when he goes to help Rebecca with some electrical work but she reassures him that things are fine. And just as they are sorting out the electrics, Andrew and Paul enter the bar. Paul doesn't look too amused at seeing Rebecca touching Kyle (on the back to make sure he doesn't fall off the little step ladder) as the pair of them laughing away. He's even less amused when she claps him on the back and comments about him being strong!
(Later)
Paul is still watching them (they are now behind the bar) while having a meeting with Susan on a feature about the re- opening. Susan twigs that Paul is feeling threatened when he comments on Kyle serving 'the cast of Desperate Housewives' aka 6 ladies who seem rather taken with his looks as he takes their order. The ladies day improves too when Andrew bumps into Kyle causing him to spill their drinks over himself and so has to remove his wet t- shirt!
Number 28
Zeke checks with Ringo if they need to keep Donna and Naomi apart at the cinema but he doesn't think so. He heads off to meet Declan and Naomi returns from the bathroom. She begins seductively kisses Ringo, so much so that they're now going to stay home instead of going to the cinema... as long as he tidies his room because dirty socks doesn't do it for her!
While he heads off to tidy up, she texts Zeke using Ringo's phone a message - Movie no go. Staying home have fun
And as we head into the first commercial break, today's trip down memory lane is to 1992 to Jim Robinson and Doug Willis on a camping trip.
Number 22
Zeke and Donna take the mickey out of Declan when he hangs up from chatting to Kate as they wait for Ringo and Naomi to appear. They are beginning to wonder where they are when Zeke's phone bleeps - it's the text Naomi sent announcing that they aren't going. The three of them are a bit annoyed at Ringo but equally upset for Donna but she still wants them to go to the cinema.
Number 28
Having finished his afternoon exercise, Ringo re- dresses himself and makes his way out into the livingroom just as his phone bleeps - its Zeke saying they are at Harold's and are leaving soon. Naomi doesn't want them to take the last chance they are being offered however Susan's arrival home changes that and they decide to head to the store.
Lassiters Complex
Andrew reflects to his dad that it's been a good day but what is more amazing to Paul is that it worked and wasn't another Andrew stuff- up! He now tries to subtly chat to his dad whilst managing to drop into the conversation that he's observed Rebecca and Kyle laughing and joking (like Paul witnessed) previously.
ANDREW: You've been out of town for a long time and I though you'd want to know.
When Paul keeps quiet, he apologises and says it is none of his business but you can see the seed of doubt has been planted.
Charlie's
"Scram" Paul tells Kyle when he enters the bar. Rebecca isn't amused at Paul ordering her staff around especially when she is busy. He wants to know why she re- hired him (he was a good barman) and about the financial instability of the bar but she's quick to dismiss that and reminds Paul that it's Lassiters who has money troubles not Charlie's.
"What is this about?" she asks him and he replies that he doesn't like the way she and Kyle work together including flirting with each other.
PAUL: You and I are hardly on speaking terms at the moment and this whole thing with Kyle isn't exactly making things easier.
An irate Rebecca grabs him and takes him over the office area for a bit more privacy although it does look like she wants to throttle Paul!
REBECCA: First of all there is no 'thing' with Kyle. And secondly, the reason we are arguing is because of your dishonesty.
She then asks if he wants her to fire Kyle and his facial expression says yes although he doesn't actually say anything.
REBECCA: Oh you are unbelievable.
PAUL: Rebecca...
REBECCA: No! Listen to me. If you're so insecure that you would even think that I would... I'm not going to fire him Paul because this is not my problem. It's yours!
Commercial break later and its time for Round 2 of Paul v Rebecca beginning with some reading for Paul - Charlie's accounts which show that the profits go up when Kyle is working!
Lassiters Complex
The teens are reminiscing of days gone bye for Naomi's benefit, including when Ringo strutting his stuff on the catwalk to help Donna. Ringo volunteers to buy the drinks and Naomi again feels unhappy when he knows Donna's drink off by heart.
Harold's Store
Lucas enters the store and calls an impromptu club meeting with the guys. Naomi and Donna painfully chat amongst themselves after the guys leave and Donna makes it clear that Ringo is her ex.
Ringo is back a few seconds later (he's leaving the meeting early as he feels it could drag on) and he leaves after the girls reassure him that things are fine between them.
Number 28
Ringo confesses to Naomi that he's glad things are okay between Donna and her as they watch TV but after a few seconds, Naomi turns on the waterworks and lies to him that Donna told her to keep away from Ringo!
NAOMI: She hates me. She said all these really awful things Ringo, she actually hates me.
Ringo immediately comforts her but we can see that she is just pretending.
Number 22
Lucas, Zeke and Ringo are continuing their Bloke Club discussions on where to get a spit from (Zeke wanted them to build a souvlaki spit roast) when Ringo walks straight into the house to confront Donna over what Naomi said. She of course is oblivious to it and he accuses her of stuffing up his new relationship.
RINGO: Naomi and I are really happy and if you can't handle that then that's your problem.
DONNA: I seriously didn't say anything.
RINGO: (shouting) You stay away from Naomi and you stay away from me.
Tomorrow on Neighbours
