Charlie's
The races are on and Toadie and Steph look over at a sad Lucas, who's watching. He picks up a newspaper and puts it in his jacket. They go over to him to try and get him out of the bar. Lucas thinks that they're just they're because they're feeling sorry for him.
TOADIE: Actually, I was thinking about food.
Steph agrees - she was also thinking about food. Lucas tells them he's a big boy and leaves. Toadie and Steph exchange glances.
Elle's bedroom
Lucas comes in and chucks his jacket on the floor. He sits down on the bed and Cat glares at him.
LUCAS: What?
Cat stares at him.
LUCAS: Oh, shut up! You're as bad as her!
He hangs up the jacket, looks at a photo of him and Elle, picks up his jacket and leaves.
Number 22
Lucas appears downstairs where he's offered food. He declines.
REBECCA: Are you sure? It's no trouble.
DONNA: It's chicken!
DECLAN: It's goooood.
He tells Rebecca, Donna and Declan that he's heading to Toadie's. They all look concerned, but Rebecca thinks he's taking things quite well.
Number 32
Steph is worried about Lucas. Toadie suggests she ring him if she's worried. Steph thinks Dan should do it, but Dan refuses - if Lucas wants help he'll ask him. Toadie tells Dan that Lucas is going to need a lot of TLC over the next few days as they're going to be the hardest.
DAN: Thank you, Dr Phil.
On the phone, Steph invites Lucas over who declines - he's going to get an early night. He tells her he's fine and to stop worrying.
Number 32
Lucas has broken in and sits on his sleeping bag in the middle of an empty house.
Erinsborough High
The teens are getting ready for their geography exam. Harry is winding up Kate about sleeping with her textbook under her pillow. Kate denies it - she just fell asleep.
KYLE: See you in there, people.
ZEKE: Kyle, you know you have to be able to read to do an exam...?!
Libby asks everyone to make their way in. Kate wonders where Declan is and Donna says she banged on his door and he groaned - like he does every morning.
In the classroom everyone is settled. Kate asks Libby to give Declan a little bit of time, but Libby apologises - they can't do that. Just as Libby calls the start of the exam, Declan comes in apologising - he overslept.
Time passes and everyone is writing. Libby takes out some marking to do. She begins with Kyle's paper and as she reads looks very surprised. She looks at Kyle who is leaning back in his chair chewing his pen and not looking at all interested.
More time passes and Libby calls 5 more minutes. Zeke, who is sat near Kyle, mouths at him to write. Libby notices and clears her throat, glaring at them both.
5 minutes has passed and the exam has finished. The room is dismissed and Libby keeps back Kyle and Zeke. Libby explains her suspicions - she thinks Zeke wrote Kyle's paper. He denies it, as does Kyle. However, Libby doesn't trust either of them - until she hears the truth neither of them are sitting any exams.
Number 28
Susan and Karl talk to Zeke about what Libby told them. Zeke denies it, he didn't do it! He used to do it because he was in a bad place, he's not in that place anymore.
Harold's Store
Donna and Rebecca are both missing Elle. Donna is glad of the exam distraction.
Steph talks to Dan - she's worried about Lucas. He's not at work, and not answering the phone. Dan tells her not to worry. Steph asks Rebecca if she's seen Lucas, and Rebecca says that he probably crashed at Toadie's last night. Steph pretends everything is fine, and when Rebecca leaves she relays the story to Dan. They're both worried, but Steph thinks she knows where he is...
Number 32
With the phone in one hand, and the paper open on the horse races page, Lucas is looking sad. Fortunately he's distracted as Dan comes in. Dan says that Steph figured out where he was. Lucas tells Dan to tell Steph that he'll fix the lock he broke. Dan reminds him to deliver his own messages.
Dan is there for some subtle brother bonding. He's come to build something, but Lucas refuses to help. Dan doesn't mind - he's got enough space to do it right there. Lucas tells him to leave.
DAN: Listen, I just got my shoulder fixed from the last time you lost the plot. If you're going to do it again, make sure you hit the other one.
Harold's Store
Sunny is relaying the Zeke/Kyle story to Donna and Kate. Kyle walks in and says that he wrote the assignment himself. Kate challenges him to quote something from Macbeth. He manages "to be or not to be" which Kate tells him is Hamlet.
He leaves ad Sunny goes after him to give him "a piece of her mind". After noticing a business studies textbook amongst Sunny's books, they follow her.
Outside Harold's
Sunny argues with Kyle, and Donna and Kate watch on. Kyle tells Sunny not to worry about Zeke, he didn't write it so he won't get caught for it! He reminds Sunny that his business studies stuff is in for the end of the week and she needs to dumb it down so that it doesn't look so suss. Kyle leaves and Sunny turns to Donna dn Kate saying that she's done something stupid.
Erinsborough High
Sunny, Kate and Donna have come to school to tell Libby that it wasn't Zeke that wrote Kyle's assignment, but that it was Sunny. Sunny can't believe all the mistakes she's made, and Kate doesn't understand. Donna explains that Sunny hasn't told her parents that she's living with Zeke. In a flashback we see Sunny tell Donna about her parents with Kyle watching on.
DONNA: I always said that those lockers were not a safe place to exchange information.
Sunny explains to Donna and Kate that he's been blackmailing her so that he won't tell anyone. Sunny is worried that eke will hate her. Kate comforts her and is sure he won't.
Libby approaches the girls on the way to a meeting. Sunny asks to talk with her, but Libby asks if it can wait until after school. Sunny gets out her phone - if she can't tell Libby she's got to tell Zeke.
Number 32
Dan is still making something. He asks Lucas a question, who ignores him. Eventually Lucas gives in and gives him some advice. Steph walks in.
LUCAS: Doesn't anyone ever knock anymore?!
STEPH: Oh, hello. Incase you've forgotten this is my house.
Steph tells the guys that she has just had the carpet steam-cleaned, so any mess from Dan and Lucas can add it to his bill with the lock.
LUCAS: But he wasn't invited!
STEPH: Oh, neither were you!
Steph puts down a box of supplies and passes Lucas a key, telling him to use that next time. Lucas thanks her and calls her a star. She heads back to the garage. Lucas helps Dan.
Harold's Store
Zeke meets Sunny at the store. Sunny tells him the whole story about Kyle (using flashbacks again!). Zeke wishes Sunny had told him. He runs off to find Kyle.
Charlie's
Kyle and his mates are playing pool. Libby is also in Charlie's. Zeke gives a Kyle a shove, just as Declan arrives to stop him. Libby comes over demanding to know what's going on. She believes her theory has just been proved.
Sunny goes to confess, but Zeke stops her, telling Libby she's right about him writing the assignment.
Number 28
Karl and Susan are unhappy that Zeke lied to them both. He's betrayed their trust. Zeke apologises. Sunny can't take it anymore and confesses - if anyone should be punished it's her.
